That rock island, downstream of Big Manitou, formed as a result of the 2018 Father's Day Flood. I enjoyed this video. It brought back some memories of the trail improvements we made after 2018. I retired from the park supervisor position a year ago.

Oh sweet! I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching! We noticed a lot of stuff looked somewhat new! Very nice job! A top park on my list! An almost magical place in the fog!

Gorgeous! Camped there with the kids 20 years ago, while visiting friends in Solon Springs. It was later in the year, and got carried away by the mosquitoes! The falls through the fog were very cool! Will have to check it out again!

Always love when the "up north" landscapes are foggy.

If you go back to Pattinson check out the overlook trail on the east side of the black river. There are backpacking campsites and Old growth white pine , yellow birch , maple forest on that side. And it’s highly unlikely you’ll see anyone over there.

Been meaning to go back and camp anyways! Looks like it’d be a beautiful area to camp! Thanks for the info!

The river dropped a lot in a week. We weren't able to walk across at the bottom.

Oh wow! We could tell by the river banks it looked like it had gone down somewhat recently!
