THANK YOU seriously everyone who watches this says it's not great but it fits his character perfectly, the intensity in every syllable feels like he's punching you with his words to me which is perfect for Guzzy

As a side note: When Lusamine says "got nothing else to loose except my Nihilego," that could just be a basic statement, but "Nihelego" translates from Latin as "Empty Self" so there's alot of possible double meaning there

I remember someone pointed this out in a different reaction but at 4:21 Zach says, “what has more beauty and terror than innocence”. The line itself is said by one of the two women that took care of N when you go through the castle in the first game. And I was always thought that bar hits different especially since Zach has that “believable voice” as I like to call it.

I love N's verse solely because Zach B sounds like N. There's this undercurrent of emotion that Zach B puts in all of his raps that really fit for him. Also, Mewtwo coming in and destroying everything at the end is just the perfect ending.

"Maxie = Giovanni on a little crack right there" I can only imagine Giovanni going from "ground type specialist mafia boss" to "ground type specialist land hippie scientist" after a smidge of crack

I liked Guzma’s one because it really went into his backstory about how his life was kind of difficult when he was kid and how he was looked as a failure for not be able to using Z-Moves but how he has become strong after all of that.

Pete intentionally gave Guzma an unorthodox flow that’s super rough around the edges, which i think manes it the most in character verse by far.

Rustage (mewtwo) is a beast in the nerdcore scene. His verses are always top tier. He 100% had the best verse in this cypher. UK Bias pulling through, as per usual

I felt the same way as Pat when I first heard it, but I started binging reactions to this cypher and it grew on me the more I heard it. It’s probably in my top three at least now. Tl:dr Guzma’s verse gets better the more you listen to it imo

I love that GameboyLuke was just vibing in chat in the end lol

Lysander, Lusimine, Guzma and Mewtwo are my favorites. However Guzma was definitely the best. I have listened to his verse more than any others.

Your thoughts on the Guzma verse aren't too dissimilar to how I felt at first, but the more I listened to it, the more I loved it, because yes the verse was flawed, but it perfectly captured the chaotic and unhinged nature of Guzma. Yeah it got the "I'm a gangster, I'm better than you" but it was all over the place and erratic, which is also so perfectly Guzma.

Rustage's Mewtwo verse just goes so hard the anger in his voice sells it

I do have to say, the Shonen rap cypher, Shonen Villains Cypher, and Shonen Rival Cypher by Rustage is also more character centric

Lysandre and Lusamine were probably my favourites. I've noticed that in all of these cyphers the female characters have a more song like verses which is a bit shame? I'd love to hear similar rap style than from the guy. They do sound really good still though.

It’s because the people they put in the cyphers are singers not rappers Chi-Chi, HalaCG, KnightOfBreath, Or3o, IronMouse all of them are singers while FrivolousShara, Cami-Cat, Lex Bratcher , and SavvyHyuga are rappers.

@@zemellion26 yea, But chi-chi and Hala Both have proven that they CAN rap (chi chi in the Beast cypher, and hala...in I think the sharpshooter cypher and a few others) so they can do rap its just not their specialty.

Fun fact about rustage as mewtwo according to Gameboyjones rustage basically willed mewtwo into being on the cypher as he wasn’t one of the choices but he asked cam if he could be mewtwo and cam was like “ I don’t see why not”

N's verse was so strong. Fit his character so well whole still landing hard hitting lines. "I find that heroes are often more villianous/How do we even notice what the difference is?" It was too good. Everyone knows Mewtwo was good, and I always felt Lysander's is underrepresented. But N's is top for me, possibly the best verse in all of Cam's ciphers.

From the standpoint of someone who isn't well-versed in music, your opinions were pretty poggers. And Mewtwo was DEFINITELY top-tier. Personally, from a rapper's perspective, I'd have to give it to Mewtwo, Cyrus, and Rose.

I think you should react to all of them at once in their “ all Pokemon rap cyphers” video and pic an overall winner. That would be cool!

Mewtwo's delivery just makes it FEEL like he has something against specifically you, the listener, personally

They did our boy Ghetsis dirty. He had such an amazing and cruel character and story. He built up a boy with nothing and forced his sisters to become his servants, he built N up only as a false symbol for his own genocidal image. He's also the only villain to technically canonically murder people. He froze half a region solid, screwed up the ecosystem, and practically froze the people to death. (With the help of Colress, but Colress is still under his command, so I count it) Not to mention he nearly impaled the main character in B2W2. He also hit a 12 year-old girl and threatened to harm her more when he reappeared in USUM if you didn't hand over your pokemon. Not to mention, his team is absolutely busted like Cynthia's. They could have used literally any of this as rap material, but nope.

Imagine if PLA was out during this time! I'm picturing Volo entering to a cacophony of maniacal laughter while rapping about wanting to throw hands with God.

I really like the fact that in most of these "generation raps" have a thing at the beginning showing who's gonna be playing the person in what gen but this one didn't. It makes Mewtwo's entrance so surprising (and jessie & james)

I love the faces Pat made during the Mewtwo verse. That was the best reaction ever!

My top 3 oh boy this is a hard one but it’s gotta be 1 Mewtwo 2 Lusamine 3 Lysandre This was a really tough choice for me but I thought these were the best ones.

Great reaction, your perspective on the verse aren't bad, you judge almost solely on what's said relevances to the characters, only real criticism is when you say so and so didn't flow well, or you start talking about not like rhymes your actually talking about something else. Which you already said your not a professional music guy so it makes sense. Just comes of as ignorant, cause Zach B definitely do be flowing on every track, and certain rhyme schemes people are unique so it sounds weird unless you aware that it was done with a purpose. 10/10 would watch more reaction. Can't wait to see you step out of just the pokemon raps if that's something you plan on doing

I've recommended some of them especially the AOT raps during his streams but hearing it from someone he knows is more convincing.

Personally, I feel Maxie had the best verse, I think you took too much points off him for the last line xD It’s jokes. But I also really liked Guzma’s for ONE REASON. It just… felt.. so.. GUZMA. I don’t know how to explain it, but when it heard it for the first time, how weird it felt, how awkward it came together.. it just felt so absolutely beautifully perfect for Guzma. I feel like he encapsulated the character perfectly.

Can we talk about how Pe$o Pete is LITERALLY Guzma!
