Human migration isn’t due to tectonics, it’s just regular walking, sometimes with the help of ice bridges during the ice ages. At most the continents have only moved about 9 miles during human history, I.e. 2-5 cm a year
@Ryodraco

More technically, ice ages created land bridges by lowering the sea level. Tended to be a better way to travel than just using ice.

"Does anyone remember that the US had the Philippines?" Yes, Pat, very vividly. But does anyone remember that before that, the Philippines was colonized by Spain for 333 years? Or that during WW2 (probably), it got brutally rekt by Japan?

If you haven’t seen it yet, check out History of the World animated to Dedede’s Royal Payback, such a fun summary of this summary of the world!
It does gloss a bit over what was going on with the aztecs and incans and the whole american colonization, but that's fine. What I'm disappointed is in the fact that it skips my favourite part of Spanish history: that one time the French went "Hey, guys, can we march our army through your country to attacks Portugal?" Spain said yes and the French decided to just park their army in Spain and take us over. For like 2 years before the Spanish kicked them out.

The biggest thing I'm sad wasn't mentioned was that the US didn't actually ban slavery, they just made it require state permission.
Earth Review: 7/10. Too much water.
4:24 Fun fact: Someone made a-song/music using the “The Sun Is A Deadly Lazer” line a LONG time ago, and it’s actually pretty good (in my opinion), though it could use a bit of a remastering if I’m being honest here, and I think all/some of the people who have also listened to it would agree with me. Edit: After posting this comment, I’m now realizing that this video is 9 months old (which means you might not even seen/acknowledge this comment), but what I said was true, so all I can do is hope you see it.
Yes! More reactions to this video!!! Love watching these.
I hate to say this Patterrz, but before this guy there use to be Brainpop in the 2000s, and that site use to teach me a lot more stuff and it was fully animated, and it kept my attention throughout the entire thing. it wasn't crazy editing or none of that stuff like this guy did, it went at a nice pace and it didn't feel slow or gone too fast, and it was informative just enough about that certain subject, they also recommended other videos if you wanted to learn more about a specific subject. Which is how I learned film and tv shows through one brainpop video. So before 2016, Brainpop use to be the shit I use to watch back in middle school. And before that, KZread for me was where it was made for entertainment, not really education. And before KZread it was VHS and DVD players with CRT small TVs to learn in school, based on what the teacher was teaching taht day. And yes, they did have projectors, but it was hooked up via VGA and had a separate speakers inside th projector for sound.
I got a friend who’s a history geek so I’m absolutely showing this to him.
I love watching Bill Wurtz when I'm uh... not sober.
I literally watched this video for the first time last week. Glad I get to watch it again with one of my favorite poketubers
I'm surprised you did a reaction video on this! I like this video so much! Don't know if you will react to history of japan. Kinda similar to history of the world.

I learned so much from this and actually made sense
" 'Let's save the planet!' said everybody, not knowing how." That line goes hard.

I like how when Pat said he’s getting nostalgia from the video the video said how 0:25
21:51 We only outlawed it 30 years after the uk did, while I agree we did it hundreds of years to late so did the uk. america: 1865 UK: 1834 france: 1848 germany:1537 spain:1811 polis of athens: 6th century BC Iraq: 2019 russia: 1720 so the real hero’s here are the polis of athena and germany I guess also the list is from what I can tell just a general time because a lot of countries banned different slavery at different times, like how rome banned christian slavery from jewish people in 590 but banned general christian slavery in 741
2028 is closer than I would imagine. Maybe I'll see the thing inventor inventing the thing inventor

when watching this ive never noticed that he called the grenade an "exploding pineapple"
“Dumping *British* things-“ You sure that uh, tea, didn’t come from somewhere else?
Fun viking history fact: The vikings kept mostly if not only white slaves (since there were mostly just white folks around), and sometimes the slave could earn their freedom. The vikings cared a lot about honor and strength and that jazz. Well at some point, all the slaves were freed and after some generations, it was almost impossible to tell who had descended from slaves and who had not. Skip to today, it is especially hard to tell, no surprise I remember learning about this a while ago and found it intriguing since i am a norseman, so might have gotten something wrong or explained something wrong, but it was something like this
He should watch the history of Japan if he hasn’t yet

8:24 if you want a ton of gods, might i recommend shinto with it's 8 million gods?
24:24 oh boy, can't wait to see the comments on this one 😃
19:55 this aged so well look
8:23 Actually, YHWH (god of Christianity) was one of many in a previous religion called Yahwism. At some point, he was extracted, placed at the head of a new religion, his female consort erased outright and the other gods of his prior religion recast as demons. And the new creation myth went like 'Humans were perfect but then some woman fucked up' (original sin, Adam & Eve) So Christianity was and still is a tool of autocracy and sexism.
Groudon do be trolling humans
