I've only seen a handful of these streamers, but I did enjoy watching what I did of both the Kanto and Johto shiny hunt streams. I think it's a great way to showcase the community, and even though most of them are strange to me I can feel their passion and how they are having fun together, even when the grind gets hard. Hmmm I wonder if a Hoenn one might be in the future hmmmmm???

The fossil lady in Sword/Shield is called Cara Liss. Reason being she Carelessly puts fossils together to make abominations 😅

If that’s legit (because Ik people who found the fossils, I forgot what they were called put them together haphazardly to just put stuff together without knowing what the actual parts are or what they go to) that’s awesome that they put a historical jab into the game lol

Most exiting thing ever, back when I was completing the dex for Violet, I said to myself, "I still need Slowpoke, I'm going to get a Slowpoke" and literally that first one I run into was Shiny, and I didn't even realize it until I entered battle! Luckiest find of my life!

I remember refusing to get past the false dragon titan area and casseroya lake until I found a slowpoke because I was convincing myself I'd missed one. I did end up finding a shiny slowpoke there

1:08 you don't know how much this Hits... I was travelling on train the day a new line opened and I saw some cameras. I watched the news and actually found myself but only on the last seconds of that part, walking and not even looking at the cams xD

In regards to first Shinies, mine was Slowbro in Scarlet. I'd never hunted for Shinies before but I saw how easy it was in this game and decided to do it upon seeing a Slowbro outbreak. Have never been the same since then because oh dear lord did it give me an addiction to the euphoria of catching Shinies.

Aww I loved Gentledude finding the ditto! Sad he couldn't do the gen 2.

The first shiny that I consciously remember catching was a Golduck in Seafoam Islands back in the FireRed days.

My first shiny ever was a butterfreee from the bug catching contest in crystal. I remember specifically because I had no idea what the sparkles meant and didn’t notice the different color for a long time.

My first ever shiny was a swadloon in pokemon white. I remember having one and just running through the grass and thinking “huh, that looks weird. Looks different” and caught it. Still have it a decade later.

My first shiny: I didn't play Pokemon until adulthood and I loved the idea of contrary Serperior. I'd never actually played a full Pokemon game before this. I'd played a little bit of Soul Silver on one of my husband's old cartridges, but I'd never done breeding or beaten more than a couple of gyms. My husband had an event Serperior with contrary he was willing to lend me and I was determined to breed a perfect shiny Serperior. So, I went into a copy of Pokemon Black with the intent of resetting for a female to breed with my husband's Serperior. I was a little confused when the Snivy was blueish instead of green like Serperior was, but I chalked it up to a dragonite/dratini situation. It was a male, so I reset.😂😂😂 When the next two were green, I asked my husband why the first one was blueish. I was so heartbroken.

My first shiny would've been the red Gyarados, however, it was actually a full odds Sentret on the first route of HeartGold. I don't think it was first encounter but it was definitely on that route. Ever since then I've had a soft spot for Sentret and Furret and those were the first 2 I hunted for in the Teal Mask DLC.

7:23 I don't blame gen 1 for the bad shinies, I blame the 3D models. A lot of shinies that are barely noticeable look so much better in the 2D sprites.

Tbf I think it's more to do with what biome it's in (in some cases) or in magnemite's case, how the model update screwed it over. Its a great shiny once actually get a look at it but the metal reflection doesn't help it that much

For me personally, the shiny noise in the overworld makes the process monotonous, as you can just shut your brain off during it, but some shiny particle effects for wild shinies, like Let's Go, would be great

Having been present in Vandy and Lindz's streams during this the anticipation as things went on was almost as tense as the gen 2 one was

I’ve been playing since Gold and have only found 3 shinies and they were all Gen 8. A Bronzong in Shield, Dustox in Legends, and another Bronzong in Brilliant Diamond

The first shiny I ever got chronologically was a shiny Snivy in White as my starter that I had been resetting for to get a female one and I didn't realize was shiny until literal years later because after I got a female I stopped and got distracted by life. It wasn't until I came back to try and replay it and was curious about what my file was that I realized it was shiny. And before anyone asks why I didn't notice, 1) I played with the sound off at night, and 2) I am a tiny bit color blind.

My first shiny was Floatzel in Pokémon Diamond when I was 8. My friends told me it was Darkrai I disguise 😅. I tried to catch it, but I ran out of Pokéballs!

My first non-Gyarados shiny was Delibird in Silver. Delibird was also my 2nd and 3rd non-Gyarados shiny when playing SoulSilver.

My first-ever shiny was a shiny Lokix that I named Treasure, which I caught in my first playthrough of Violet. I wasn't hunting or anything, I just randomly found it on my way to fight Eri. That was a cool moment. And then my second shiny was a Makuhita that I caught in my first-ever nuzlocke, which was of Violet. And let me tell you, that Hariyama did WORK for me. She was probably the most reliable 'Mon on my team.

I actually killed shiny Gyarados because I didn't know you could catch it. My first shiny was same game it was a shiny hootoot/noctowl and I didn't know it because it looked like ashes

My first shiny was a golden Magikarp in Pokemon Gold. Unfortunately, I didn't catch it. I ran into it when surfing back from the Dragon's Den, so I was just frustrated that I had an encounter in such a small body of water, that I immediately ran frame one. I only noticed it was shiny after it was too late.

My first shiny was a female hoothoot in HeartGold right after receiving some pokeballs. I thought she was a glitch but still caught her, I didn't know shinies was a thing. Unfortunately I don't think I have her anymore

First shiny I ever caught was in Gold. A shiny Krabby from one of the rock smash boulders outside of Olivine City. Which I then ingame traded for a Voltorb thinking it would be shiny... It was not.. and I saved. 😅😂

The first AND ONLY shiny pokemon i have ever found is a Trevenant... And i have played ALL the games at least once... and a couple of gmaes more than once... I just don't get it... I mean i have gotten the forced shinies in games, the shiny gift pokemon and other things... but not wild random shinies or egg shinies at all... i have not tried the super easy methods in the new games though... i assume if i did i should be able to get some...
