    Holly cow! I have been an die hard 28 gauge shooter for grouse, rabbit, dove, quail. I have been toying around getting a 28 for Turkey was blown away with the performance at 40 yards. And yes 60 yards is to damn far to even think about shooting at a Turkey. But good to know if you miss judge a distance you can still take that bird.

    I agree 100% it’s okay to let the turkey win. I don’t advocate shooting them past 40 as a personal preference and up close and personal is where it’s at couldn’t agree more. I will say though it’s still fun punching paper at long distances to to see and scratch the curiosity itch and boy did those 10’s impress. I thought it was going to be very voided and blown out but I was wrong lol. I’m actually floored how awesome those little suckers performed. Great video guys 🇺🇸

    Hey you may not like to shoot that far but at least you know it's possible. That's an insane pattern in the 10's, and the 8.5/10 blend was no slouch either. Taking 60 or further yard shots with 10’s is just unethical it’s not anything more than that I said if I was shooting 60 it’d be 9’s and up only no way I’d pull the trigger at 60 with 10’s maybe our 60 yard penetration test with them will change that but it is highly unlikely that’s what I said And no I didn’t want to do 60 yard and more pattern testing because I know just how most people will use the information that terrifies me

  • @justinkuehl9836
    @justinkuehl9836 Жыл бұрын

    Patter Density does matter, but I feel your wrong about material Density. Obviously the more dense the material, the better it will pattern. Steel isn't going to pattern the same as TSS. STEEL weighs less then TSS per cc. Also, steel isn't going to penatrate the same as TSS would, at 40 yards, regardless the pattern Density. So as TSS goes, you need to ask yourself what your kill zone limit is, that your confident with. Lead does pattern well, with high quality after market chokes, but doesn't carry the KE per yard as TSS does, using the same shot size. It's not about pattern Density at all, if what your shooting isn't going to lethally penetrate your animals vitals. Compare throwing wiffle balls, and baseballs at a snow drift. Throw them all at 80 mph, at 20 yards. See which .one penatrates the most. Honestly you shouldn't even compare TSS with any other pellet material. It will always win Density and range over lead. Especially in penatration tests.

    @BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA You guys make great videos and stay on top of the latest ammo and guns. What I would like to see, is for you guys to do a 4 or 5 choke tube test. 40 to 60 yards. With only 1 gun running through the chokes, and maybe 3 or 4 different TSS loads. APEX, Rogue, Boss Tom, ect. Use an actual stabilized shooting position, like a lead sled, or whatever from a bench. If your going to use the bead sights, shoot the loads on paper big enough to catch the entire pattern. Keep up the good work. 👍

    Depends on what your gun likes and what you like in a pattern, in mine they’ve been the best pattern in my opinion hands down in every gauge & gun I own now in yours they could be the worst there is no best choke way to many variables in a pattern
