I've stayed at BJ Lodge. BJ is one the original Farang to live in Pattaya. He has Soi BJ named after him. He is an American and his kids also worked at the Lodge. I would call this place a great Newbie safe place. BJ and his staff all speak English and are very friendly. It's on the north side and a bit away from the action. However, if you walk down to the second road and turn left there is a bar called Atlantis. It's a sleeper bar, the owner is a really good Thai Lady. I think her son may have taken over managing the place. Walk about 100 meters and you will get 2 Soapy's and Big C.

I love it my restaurant an bar on our rooftop at Hilton where I will. Stay 10 nights I hope or 14' nights but since I am Hilton honors member more nights stay more money l save

Great video Daz, i must say the lady on reception at the 3rd hotel was absolutely top class ,i would stay there just to say good morning to her.

Ah, good ole Soi 3. 'Member it well. They were still building the rear section of A-1 back then. I used to walk down it everyday from the Welkomme Inn. Those were good times.

Thanks Daz. Been to BJ's 8 times. Location is perfect and breakfast only 100bht. Staff are fantastic, rooms cleaned every day and 2 free bottles of water every day. Pool is much bigger and warmer. Also stayed at Sunshine Vista (great breakfast choices) before I found BJ's Rod Australia.

Very enjoyable and many thanks for sharing. The 2nd one attracted me due to the fact it had shower partitions (glass) where warter is kept in the shower recess. Thanks a million for this work you for us tourists. Soi 5 next "please".

I haven’t been to Thailand in 15+ years. In my previous 5+ trips to Pattaya, I’ve always stayed at different hotels. Now days, there seems to be MORE hotels in Pattaya. Since I’m thinking of returning, I’ve been watching your hotel KZread visits. They’re very informative on amenities and location; but LOCATION is the key for me. On my first two visits, I stayed in hotels surrounded by go-go and beer bars. The thumping music was heard and felt in my hotel room throughout the night and early morning. That was my newbie mistake to Pattaya.

Hey Daz, just a shout-out to say thanks for 'rating' the beds in your video (Soft/medium/ etc). Due to a bad lower back, I have a hard time sleeping on anything but a soft mattress, so I really appreciate your adding this to your videos.

I stayed at the Seven Zea on soi 5, the walk in price in 1200thb per night for standard room, but I managed to book in advance on agoda for 1000thb per night. Pretty decent in my opinion, decent sized room & bathroom, and infinity pool on the top floor over looking the beach.

I have stayed at the 3rd hotel the sunshine vista and even though the pool is on the roof it is the coldest pool i have ever been in. Fantastic staff there

Thanks for the video. The 3rd hotel was nice all around and the area is great for walking or taking the baht bus. I have a couple of points for some free stays, perfect timing.

i have stayed in the sunshune vista loads of time and its really great value , the breakfast has an good selection the only thing you need to do is make sure you book a room for 2 if you get my drift. i always try to stay here as its so close to everything

I would definitely look at the sunshine vista hotel next year. It's in a very quiet soi, minuets away from the beach and easy transport for the BAHT bus at both ends of the soi and the price is very reasonable concidering it includes breakfast.

Nice video. 1000 baht is a little high for a micro hotel. I do like the last one. Based on one if your earlier video, I booked 17 days at the Blue Sky Pattaya. I got it on agoda for only $18 US / night

I was looking for a hotel for my friends that will be coming in October i also think the sunshine vista may be the best choice for them ! nice little pool good rooms and a great location not near the loud bars could be good for 1st or 2nd timeers...L.A Rob

Yeah I had noticed you can tell he's a Muay Thai fighter he's cut up not once of fat on him.

The first hotel und third hotel seem to be very good value-for-money. The second hotel's rooms are claustrophobic (16 sqm) and the whole design is "a bit too yellow".

Not sure about the Bananas in Pyjamas place! 🙂

There are only 2 baht bus routes, go to Playlists and you will find them, as I ride around, you can see all the hotels.

A1 hotel, it's a 5*

Of the three I would pick the second one. The third one was ok but you never know what you get with an included breakfast. Staying next to that cruise ship I probably wouldn’t be able to get the love boat theme out of my head. In the end like many have Sid it is to far from bukhao and lk metro

Some good choices there the 2nd place looks to be aimed at a younger traveller

I'm @ Baron Beach Hotel Soi 9, near Pattaya Police Station & across the road of Central Plaza , 1 minute to Starbuck ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,😀

Nice hotels, at a good price but, other than Soi 6, the location is a little far from the main center of action in the Buakhao area.

8:43 hong khûu (one room for two) and tiang khûu (2 single beds) passathai yâak 😩 and of course tiang diaw for king size bed 🙏🛌

These videos are great, however you never ask or mention if they allow guests at no extra cost. Or should we assume the hotels you pick alö are guest friendly? :)

Hi Daz. Can you do a Video on thai SIM cards Please. I’ve heard central festival does a SIM card. Then you download the company app 3 months for 550bt. Cheaper than a tourist sim at the airport.

The room at BJ LODGE was good.

Why do they have cheap hotels with great quality in Thailand and we in the West average hotels for high prices? What is the secret? Taxes, cheap labor or?🤔

Just go to the lower floor at the airport, busses & shuttles to Pattaya, yellow cab is 1500-baht, limo 3100 bht !.
