1 day rule! definitely a rule that I follow - and need to! You're comment about picking the girl that picks you is also super relevant. I made this mistake VERY recently. You do need and certainly can have a bit of rapport with the girl. It makes all the difference.

Great, practical video! The bit about choosing the girl who chooses you is the best advise ever. I figured that out back when I was 16 going to Tijuana on weekends, but for many guys it just doesn't compute even after years of partaking. As for keeping seperate stashes of cash, there is no better clothing item than pick pocket proof pants. It's just too easy to get pick pocketed when they start rubbing up on you unless you have zippered or hidden pockets. That company would actually be a perfect sponsor for you if you're looking. 2500baht was more then enough for me to go out on walking street,treetown or Soi 6 and have a good time. I’ve a SOLO traveler bought a few lady drinks but not many. Of course I didn’t bar fine any girls for that amount but that was never my intent. Just drink, bar hopped, met a few ladies and hit a vendor selling amazing food or 7-11. Obviously if you wanna bar fine bring a bit more. Test the waters go out with 1,000baht and go out with maybe 10,000baht see what it gets you based on what you’re trying to do.

I used to think Daz some of these videos were repetitive, but then I realized just how many people still don't know how or where to research, and sometimes the message has to be repeated before it sinks in with a lot of folks (sadly). So....well done....again! 😄

Keep an eye on your bin because mistakes can be made and can't be rectified later otherwise soi 9 police station you definitely won't get any help from the police they will always back the Thai over this situation.

I prefer the GC over bars anyway. More relaxing and more privacy. Nice park Daz! Reminded me of Descanso Gardens in Southern California. That is an Arboretum with Koi ponds just like the park you are walking in. You forgot to mention the most important advice for new guests. Do Not Ring the Bell! You can send money to yourself in Thailand via Remitly and pick it up from Thai bank etc.for the princely sum of £1.99

Your money advice gives noobs in ten minutes what cost me 10 years of experience. I would add: figure out how to carry 10 baht coins (I use a cheap, 300 yen store coin purse) and ask the money changers for small change to replenish, as needed, when you you visit their kiosks. I usually like to have 20-30 10 baht coins and it surprises me how quickly they go when taking the baht bus 4-5 times a night. Also, it's not a bad idea to collect some 50 baht notes for small purchases since a vendor might not have much change, although that seems to b getting better (Grab rides in cars seem to run 40-80 baht, bbq chicken is 40-60 baht etc.). The 7-11's don't seem to have problems with the 1000 baht notes ($35 USD) but other places might. Finally, on bar nights I like to have 2000 baht in 100 baht notes, which I keep exclusively in my "tips" pocket for general tips to bar maids, mamasan, security (the last two usually on the way out, unless I had to ask a question). Divide them into folded over groups of 5 bills each so you never pull out a fat wad. Finally, not exactly paper money management, but I always pay for each round of drinks when they come, since I want to spot if girls are ordering drink combos that are charged as two drinks instead of one - usually a shot with soda or soft drink on the side, or if their friends are badgering them to sneak a drink for them on the tab). The other option is to check each receipt, but then we cynical ones can wonder if extra receipts get added in when the dice cup goes up to the counter, or if the girl is really adding up all those little slips of paper correctly plus, it's dark in most bars and the check bin can b hard to make out. A really good night can be as little as $100 if you select one lady and don't run a big drink tab with her, but $300 USD if you liven up the party (the hostesses live for drink commissions and appreciate 100 baht - $3 - tips; also, the girls make friends with other girls and try to look out for each other by pushing you to buy drinks for select friends). Remember the bars are not broth els; there are s0apy massage for that, and in some ways it's better to bifurcate bar flirting from the works at a so apy; I've seen friends marry bar girsl, but not one even takes soopy girls out. Think of most bars as places where the hostesses will "date for pay" if there is some chemistry, and hope for return visits on future vacations or even the grail, a sponsorship. Don't take the prettiest but most aloof lady. Take the charming one. You might find now have a helper, companion, tour guide, friend, and someone you could genuinely like. It's up to you to decide whether it's no strings attached or add to your rotation.

I always bring 2-3 of those coins for the baht busses. I like to hoard 20 and 50 baht notes for tips depending on the service level.

The best advice her was the last one regarding choosing the right girl who invites you with her eyes at the bar and not going for the stunner who returns to looking at her phone on seeing you. This also works for choosing a girl in the Massage shops as you will usually get a fantastic experience. The worst advice is the 3 day rule which you even reduced to just 1 day! I could write an essay on how wrong that is. I’ve had quite a bit of experience in Pattaya and next week I again arrive for a 5 week stay. This is my 3rd trip in 12 months. There are so many advantages in seeing a girl for more than 3 days and it works for me. One of them could be having your most mind blowing sex ever. Disadvantage of changing girls more frequently than you change your underwear is how expensive it is, more chances of starfish experience, increased risk of catching infections . The simple rule with the women is just keep your senses and never fall in love initially especially if you are an ATM to her.

Great video Daz but not sure I agree with carrying cash. I'm there next month and always use Wise. ATM fees cost around 6000b but on 330,000 I'd rather lose 6000 to fees and know I don't have hundreds of thousands of baht in a safe that in theory could be accessed. Anyways my 2 cents

I have been going to Thailand (mainly Pattaya) since 2007. I don’t think I’m that soft hearted but I have met a lady’s that melted my cold heart.

If you live a quiet life 'back home' nothing will prepare you for the full on experience of Pattaya. The jet lag, the heat, the noise, the street level pollution, the funny money, no card payments, the traffic chaos, the petty scams, the sex crazed girls, the sex crazed ladyboys, the endless bars, the dodgy food, getting lost etc etc. Once you get over all of that and you will have a truly unforgettable experience! 🤣

Great Advice :) I might add that getting a Charles Schwab brokerage account only initially costs $100 USD to set up. You can then fund it accordingly and they reimburse 100% of your ATM fees worldwide. No need to carry large amounts of USD to Pattaya as you can withdraw 30K Baht daily. Also Capital One cards as well as others carry no foreign transaction fees and many places will accept such as Hospitals, Dr and Dentist offices, Shopping Malls and many restaurants and even some clubs. Learn to say NO !!! Remember some of these ladies make more money than you do :) Enjoy Paradise

Some banks like Bank of America also will waive all internatinoal ATM fees for debit cash withdraws if one has a high enough wealth stored at the bank/brokerage.

No 1996 or 1997 US $100 bills. Lots were counterfieted and most won't accept. Just tell the bank teller to give you year 2000 and up.

Beach road is a gamble for sure. Only one gave me a bit of trouble. Good thing i knew a bit of thai and vetter yet i look thai.

I came for first time in February, I brought a girl and her friend back to my hotel from soi 6, her friend tried to take a packet of cigarettes, I said something and showed I was not happy, at the time the cigarettes did not turn up but the girl I bar fined bought me a packet of cigarettes to replace them, day or two later I found them under my razors in bathroom! Put everything in safe guys no matter how small it saves the hassle

As a Westerner who has never been to Thailand but is "seasoned" on the tricks and traps of strip clubs and the like I tend to think I've built up a pretty strong callus over the years and see the reality of what is happening to the point where I feel I can say no to anybody for anything if I think it's a bad idea. Am I less vulnerable to being taken for a ride in Thailand or is the game on a whole other level that even the most cynical westerner could still "fall" for a thai bar girl? In other words are western girls playing checkers while thai girls playing chess?

It's been a while now, but last time I usually tried to dress respectably. Long office trousers, short sleeve shirt, closed shoes. Clean shaven. Only a simple watch like Casio. Absolutely no jewellery. Long trousers also gives better protection against mosquitoes. . And I take off the bills I need for the payment from the wad while it's in the pocket. Also have a few hundred in your shirt pocket for small bills. . This gives me more respect from the girls compared to the piss drunk fella in a soiled Singha vest, which opens up to better quality offers at lower prices if I'm looking for company. Thai people look very much at external appearance and looking like an expat holding a decent job always gives you less trouble. Needless to say, limit your consumption and be man enough to toss in water or a soft drink during the evening.

It can be a random picking up a lady from beach road but at least you get to see what they look like.Not as with Thai Friendly.

I respectfully disagree (a bit) with Daz on the Beach Rd issue. I'm cautious too and frankly very few of the ladies I've seen waiting there are attractive enough I would even consider bringing back to hotel. My disagreement though is when Daz says of course any of these Beach Rd ladies would *want* to work at a bar as compared to being their own boss so to speak. I've spoken with a lot of bar girls (both at the bar and in private) and many say how much they don't like it due to all the pressure management puts on them each 10 day work cycle to bring in so many lady drinks and so many bar fines, etc. Under performance is punished in various ways. Some places have very aggressive mamasans and owners constantly berating them for the smallest things. So IMO there are many reasons for ladies to prefer being their own bosses as compared to working at a bar or gents club or agogo. Lots of girls have quit and moved back to their home province or just got a regular job and maybe do some freelancing on the side.

exactly what i did. brought 4000 euros and kept it all in a safe, exchanging 200 by 200 as i go. the three day rule, oh man i laught about that now. because i went there first time, stayed 2 months, and stayed 7 days one lady friend and everything was fine during and long after, just be rational and it can actually be very fun

Hey do you happen to know what that street Thaniya Rd in Bangkok right in Patpong area is all about? I suspect it is what you are describing, a very high end stretch of KTV or other bar/clubs that cater only to Chinese, Korean, Japanese. I was wandering the area one night during my last trip just to check it out and walked down Thaniya and was gobsmacked by all the pretty young ladies dressed so nice just standing/sitting outside on the sidewalk. I was only white guy on entire street LOL, it was 100% Asian only including many guys in full on suits (even though it was 90 degree and humid night). A bit of surreal experience.

hello. Thank you for the great video! I am wondering about something that I am a bit embarrassed about. I have a mild handicap which makes me walk a bit awkwardly (it looks a bit like I've been constantly training my legs a bit too hard). I imagine that when I take one of these girls with me, she will probably react a little when we start the trip to the restaurant or hotel. Is this something that could create additional challenges/problems for me you think when it comes to getting to know the girls better?

"Bring cash with you." This isn't good advice because it's not necessary. I did that on my first visit to Thailand but never bothered again. Just take money out of an ATM. You'll get the best exchange rate and if you've with a half decent bank they'll even refund that 220 baht fee.

take everything a bar girl says with a grain of salt and don't look for a wife at a bar! Don't force it with a girl either it works or it doesn't you don't want to be sat there with her on her phone or her eyeing up other guys while you feel like a fool! no you want her to talk with you have fun build a connection and end with a "fun time" back at the hotel

Just a question daz. Im planning on retirement in pattaya in two years. Im just bringing my debit card which will have my uk pension paid in to it. Whats the best way for me to get money out without incurring high fees.can i transfer money frim my card into my Thai bank account. And then take cash out in the bank

The secret is a Thai Bank account, can be tricky to open, there are agents who can help (for a fee). If you have one you are set! Transfer UK GBP using WISE into THB paid into Thai Bank account, then FREE to withdraw at ATM if in same region as your Thai Bank, using it's Card. AFAIK all foreign cards pay cash withdrawal fees in Thailand plus transaction charges.

There’s no need to bring £5k in cash. If you have a bank that doesn’t charge conversion rates, you can simply go inside the bank to withdraw cash. Therefore avoiding ATM fees too.

Banks are not NGOs… if the bank doesn’t charge a fee it is because the conversion rate they use covers the fee… Don’t be naive. Unless you are a very “special” customer(and the bank makes money from you in another way…) the bank is not going to exchange currencies for free…

Judging by the quality of bar girls on offer these days the one night rule definitely applies 😂

Very rare these days to see a girl smoking normal cigs, they have all switched to small disposable e-cigs which they all wear on a ribbon around their necks. These smell of Lavender or Vanilla etc

drink bottled water....cheap & it's sold everywhere. You can safely make tea from boiled water from the tap

a bottle of water cost 5-7 baht..and if u have a water machine downstars u get 1 liter for 1 baht..but yeah you can make coffee and the on the tapwater in most places ..mainly under the rain season..hot season its kind of chlorinated
