First thing to know: There's a bell in each bar that you can ring when you walk in. It's supposed to give you good luck and it's very traditional to do this.

I discovered this beach last year, great small spot and the bar right there on the corner was great.

There are only 2 seasons in Thailand. Hot and Fu**ing hot, with rain appearing whenever it wants, regardless of season. It's still a brilliant place and a little rain cools the weather down for a few days 👍👍👍

Very nice walk, thanks. Yes, I recommend June/July for low season. Also November is good before the full-on high season. Agree on Mike's mall and stay near the baht bus route, it makes the stay so much more practical and cheap transport. Also... pack super light, just get what you need in town.

I'll tell you what, I am from Florida and I am used to high heat and humidity. But I can tell you that nothing can prepare you for what you will experience in hot season. Another great video Daz.

i was in bangkok last September and yes it rained every day. the good thing is the rain only lasted an hour tops and normally it was in the early afternoon. so by 5pm the ground was dry and you can go about your night. its also the cheapest time of year so i took advantage of that as well. ill be in pattaya in june so ill guess there will be a big difference weather wise :)

Regarding Walking street. I HIGHLY suggest people to visit "Windmill go go" its unlike any other go go. people say its expensive but i as a cheap charlie dont think so, compared to the ehmm... value you get for one lady drink

I still like the Windmill.Windmill 1 is better than 2 have a couple of happy hour beers there to start your evening off.Great views and music.

I enjoy July August and l always go out in the morning because put money on it that it rains every afternoon and some nights but Im not into bars so it dont worry me.

Hi Daz, interesting video for newbies. I would also say DONT GO OUT EXPECIALLY AT NIGHT WEARING EXPENSIVE JEWELLERY AND WATCHES, you are a walking target.

In Chiang Rai, it's very hot and dry right now. The only time I sweat is under my crash helmet. I used to live in Tokyo. Summers there were more humid than Pattaya.

i dont care what time of the year i go to Thailand , but i avoid high season as its crazy expensive to fly and hotels are twice the price , July/August is the best time for me as flights are pretty cheap then

Agree with everything you say except your comment re walking street. The only reason I visit is to watch the live band at hot tuna bar. Beers are 160 so expensive but the entertainment is amazing. Then after back to buakhao/pothole/6

Early November is the time for me. Sure, there is a crowd, but not as bad as December and January. Besides, who wants to be the sole costumer in a bar? It's not much fun that way.

Helpful info for those not in the know. I'm in Pattaya and can attest it is freaking HOT!!! LOL I've never been hotter in my life. Even walking around at night brings a sweat within 15 minutes

I just spent a few weeks mostly in Chiang Mai from mid-March through April 9. Ya, fuckin hot plus it's the burning season up there. Air quality was bad but then...I live in the Philippines so there's no significant change for me.

Ph air quality is much better if you live outside manila...

I noticed airfares are much higher in the summer than October or November. Perhaps the student tourists keep the fares high.

You misunderstood the term " dancing bar " I don't mean Nightclubs like Insomnia or Republic I mean GoGo Bars, but YT don't like the term G.G Bars so I avoid using it and call them Dancing Bars instead.

Going home on Wednesday my advice newbies make sure your hotel is close to a 7-Eleven an Australian/ English bar and restaurant and you won't go far wrong as it's too hot to go wandering about especially during the day😂 and a small shaded pool is essential

Can't say the names, but the BIG ones, I think you got the picture.

The problem is, coming in low season means i will miss good part of the summer season (i stay for 2 month when i visit) in my home country and will have to endure the whole winter mentally. double loss. this year i came at chinese new year date and stayed 2 months

I haven't paid for anything yet but I was planning to go for my 2nd trip to Pattaya for the first 3 weeks in September. some people are saying September is not too bad last year September didn't rain much at all at all. others say if you go in September and you'll hate your trip is October a better month to go in? I don't want to deal with too many people during high season and the stupid higher prices.

Dozens of places doing basic burgers from 50 to 70 BAHT. I have never heard of anyone charging 350 BAHT for a basic burgers any where in Thailand. Apart from that reliable information. One thing I encountered last year in several bars is the prices in the bills were higher than those in the menus. Something to watch out for. 😮

Yes, but a piece of advice, always make sure the 2 ladies are good friends or it will be a disaster. ST 400 + 1500 x 2 LT 1000 + 3000 x 2

in GC, usually you can only do ST. people dont go to GC to look for LT but you can try

I was there last year from mid May to mid June and I recall it raining regularly about 5am fairly heavily for about 45 mins and by 8:30 - 9am it'd dried up. There were also a couple of downpours about 6-7pm , but nothing like what you can expect in late September/mid October when flash flooding is guaranteed.

@@everythingPattaya I made the mistake of flying to Thailand once taking the long flights to Bangkok and a taxi to pattaya. Stayed in lk and found out it was a two day prohibition holiday. Lk was pitch black and all I wanted was a few beers after a whole day of travel. Luckily the place I was staying allowed me to sneak a few beers to the room but I would’ve rather had them at the bar.

Skyscanner has all flights but usually end up using Trip if it's not too expensive.I see Trip signs all over Suvharnabumi airport now.
