You know, back then there was no such thing as autotune. This was really her voice, her perfect pitch, her extraordinary phrasing...effortless... They could mechanically increase the clarity and sweetness of tone, but not much more. She sings like it's no big deal and she sounds like perfection.... I sing opera, but I can't sing like Patsy...

I love the way she never has a boring direct approach but goes around the melody and creates a beautiful landscape of sound...

Perhaps for country music. Could not compete though with Maria Callas for opera. Ella Fitzgerald for Jazz, Edith Piaf for torch songs etc.
Thank you Chris for your lovely voice.

PATSY, YOU WERE TAKEN AWAY FROM US WAY TOO SOON!
I'm sitting here with tears rolling down my face. She rips my heart out with her voice.
My mom often had Patsy Cline’s music playing at our house. THANKS MOM!!
Even though I am a man, I sing her songs going down the road. She had the magic.
Perfect pitch Patsy how we miss you ❤
American culture at it best ❤️🤍💙👍✌️
Patsy had those one in a million voices you could just recognize. That’s when you know you made your mark as a singer/songwriter, when someone recognizes you either by your voice, or your playing style. For Patsy, she was recognized by both. It wasn’t just her singing voice that made her recognizable, but the way she sang it with that perfect honky tonk melody carrying it along.

Phillipboehm2641 yes Patsy is in the league as Bobby Hatfield of the righteous brothers. Bobby had a god given voice, after all these years, bet that he is leading the choir, dear Patsy and many artists are joining in.
One of my favorites by Patsy Cline.
I’m 20 but I love old songs and old movies. Everything from back then is a masterpiece
Patsy is still as popular as when she was still with us Always makes me feel happy 4
ALONG WITH JO STAFFORD, PATSY DID THIS SONG THE VERY BEST. HAVING THE JORDANAIRES, HELPED. WHAT A VOICE SHE HAD ! 1961. ----------------------MJL, 75 Y/O

WHAT A WONDERFUL VOICE FROM A BETTER TIME
It's VERY hard for me to choose whether I prefer Patsy Cline's version or the 1952 version by Jo Stafford. Both of them are amazing!

Enoshima I have not head jo Stafford version of this song for a while. I will have to look into that. Patsy had such a beautiful voice, she was very blessed. Perhaps the youngins do now who jo or patsy, but I have been blessed to know who those artists are/were.

Hello Maria how are you doing!!
Revisited today - absolutely magical.
The best of the best. ❤
There are not many singers that can touch Patsy Cline . With the exception of a very few female singers now , she is in a class all by herself . And don’t tell me that Taylor Swift can sing this way , because she can’t and never will , and not with autotune !!! No chance !!
@kay9549
6 ай бұрын
Brian I cannot thing of any singers in this era, that could touch any of the songs that patsy recorded, without the autotune feature. In the time she was recording (s), no autotune. It was a one take, or do over. Patsy is dearly missed, the time passes so very quickly.
God dam the hairs on my arms are standing up . Her voice iz perfection ❤
See the pyramids along the Nile Watch the sun rise on a tropic isle Just remember, darling, all the while You belong to me See the marketplace in old Algiers Send me photographs and souvenirs Just remember when a dream appears You belong to me I'll be so alone without you Maybe you'll be lonesome too, and blue Fly the ocean in a silver plane See the jungle when it's wet with rain Just remember till you're home again You belong to me I'll be so alone without you Maybe you'll be lonesome too, and blue Fly the ocean in a silver plane Watch the jungle when it's wet with rain But remember darling, till you're home again You belong to me
Pure magic.

And don't forget The Jordanaires, backing up Patsy.
@BlueFish-kq9fh

Good point, I wanted to say that myself. They were also great backing up Elvis Presley.
In those years either you could sing or you were not going to be in front of an audience. Technology is great, but I think using it to fake a voice is disrespectful to the people that pay a ticket to see you sing...
Love these old songs. America at her finest in music and Patsy Cline the greatest voice of the time.
Love ya always patsy

No one can logically unde Rstand the concept of "angel." How does anyone know what they sound like. Funny! But there is no denying that the voice of lovely Patsey Cline is magical, mesmerizing: perfect !!!❤

Bueatifiul voice that was silenced way to soon. Just think what she could have done if fait hadden taken her away from us.
Wow!
I’ve been a fan of Patsy since 1968, when my aunts and uncles played her music and my admiration has not diminished one bit. That was 55 years ago.

Goddess Lucy & Osiris Pat DiMauro
Originally written as a song for forlorn World war II ladies awaiting their soldiers safe return. The lyrics were tweeked a bit, although Patsy delivers in her BRILLIANCE and MASTERED talent! My Paw Paw survived Omaha, my Mama #6 of 12, SECOND Girl! I AM the second Girl of 2, and #6 Grandbaby of what counted at Paw Paws' Exit summer '95? 35 Grandchildren that has grown to a Large Town of Great Greats! My 2 Grandbabies included! I AM Sam, daughter of Debbie, 2nd Daughter of Mary delivered safely by Ernst her Daddy in their kitchen in Perry, Missouri! My Paw Paw LOVED ALL his BABIES and showed LOVE! My daughter carried HIS last name till she married! Out of ALL the Grandkids? I Favor my MAMAS side MOST! It's ALL over my FACE!😊
You belong to Me hubby
