Even though they signed Friedman and Juulsen I hope we see a lot of Woo, McWard and Hirose in the lineup next season. And why bother resigning Cole or someone else when you've these three young guns chomping at the bit, if you say experience well you still have Wolanin and Irwin down in the A as well. Save the money for a high scoring winger for Pettersson.

Canucks should go after Tyler Bertuzzi and Tyler Toffoli. Two top line forwards and a reasonable price.

Might be a decent call up. I would like to see what Hugh's can do with him. Mark Friedman is really just a place holder.

So basically out with the old and in with the new. Is Woo good enough to be a depth D? Or would he keep playing in Abby? Hope Silovs signs the qualifying offer. I don't mind the Canucks signing a veteran backup to ease Demko's workload while Silovs continues to develop in the minors.

  • @jeffmill6683

I believe Silvos needs more time with Abby. His save % wasn't that great in the playoffs, granted he did have a lot of pressure on him. But I do believe 1 more year with Abby and as the number 1 call up would be the best for him.

I think the idea behind getting another goaltender is that we have the staffing capable of generating world class Goalies, and whomever we pick up, we could potentially drastically improve their play and give us a future asset that we can trade for a great return.

Woo couldn't do much worse then Cole did in the playoffs. A number of times he didn't take the right player or any player in front of the net. He just wasn't reading the plays.

These signings are just plain. I mean like beige. Nothing to get excited about. What about some wingers to play with Pettersen? Why can’t the Canucks sign anyone significant? B.F.D. We are never going to win a cup with these signings. Come on Alvin do something! This is just housekeeping. SIGN A STAR. SIGN SOMEONE SIGNIFICANT!
