Loads of people hate on Nu Trek for portraying the future and the peoples in it as far more dark than Roddenberry wanted it to be. But come on: "A little suffering is good for the soul." Personally I dislike Discovery for it's violation of canon and some of its characters are immensely pretentious even by Star Trek's standards, but I do appreciate that tragedy, rather than blind optimism, brings out the best of us like it did in STID when Kirk was willing to sacrifice himself for the crew.

I agree with you about Stark Trek:Discovery. I have only watched the first Season which I hated and the first 2 Episodes of the 2nd Season. Besides from completely breaking CAnnon- Spock having an Adopted Human Sister. being set 10 years before TOS, but somehow they can go faster than the Enterprise in TNG, it is a stupid show. Besides from having to be PC by having a GAy Male Couple, and having the lead character a Black Female- it is in my humble opinion- poorly opinion. I like the CAptain whatever his name was on Season One. I think he was one of the best things on the show. Although it was also against Canon, the Federation was having somewhat of an interesting war with the Klingon. But then they made a crazy turn where that CAptain is really an evil Duplicate from the Parallel Universe. I thought that really ruined what was an interesting character.

As God says "By the fruit of the tree you shall know it. Any tree that brings forth good fruit, can easily bee seen, any tree not bring forth good fruit shall be cut down, the axe being laid to the root and, and burned with unquenchable fire." We all say, "Get Woke, go broke." but, this fact of evil is what we are recognising. Evil is repulsive by its nature, selfish, entitled, hateful, small-minded, short-sighted, imabalanced, raging, vile, perverted, grotesque. Of what value is such a thing? Where is the appeal? The wisdom of God teaches us that hate, comsumes all who embrace hate, not the people for whom the hatred is felt so, why live by hate? And while the God behind such wisdom may have been forgotten, the teaching was so powerful that the wisdom of it endured for a long time past when people started rejecting God and stopped going to Church. I am old enough to remeber when most businesses in America were closed on Sunday because most people went to Church and then came home to relax and rest from a hard weeks work. And those who didn't attend Church still respected that, keeping their busines closed so that church goers could do so in peace. Now there is a war on everything that evil people don't like. As it turns out, while Christians can become tollerant of their enemies and the enemies of God and His goodness, the wicked and evil are more than happy to employ lies (the Devil, Satan, is called the Prince of Lies), deception, cheating, killing, violence, and hate without restraint. Why would they? No one expects them to live by any wisdom, morality, ethics, or integrity. They have not a single "higher" ideal. Every single one is made-up out of thin air by insane humanity. Driven insane due to lack of purpose or meaning, they have crafted a false god of their own, selfish, twisted, perverted, vision, and it ain't pretty. As Jesus Christ said, "If you are not with me, you are against me. Any one who does not gather with me, scatters." The Godless will only come to make a false god. The evil will never have any cause for restraint. Wickedness in humanity has been revisited time and time again, common, base, and entirely repugnant. These people are clowns, playing in a sick parody of good, having no clue how unifying goodness really is. They hide themselves behind every lie and behind every mask. What do you think a 'drag-queen is but a man who hates himself so much that he pretends to be everything else but what he really is. They are a living portrait of Dorian Grey, their percieved uglyness hidden in the layers of make-up, clothing, and lies. Who are they hiding and really hiding from but themselves? God, the Father, asked His own Son to give up His life for us, and that was the measure of how valued we all are and how serious He was about us learning to follow in His Son's footsteps, footsteps of self-denial, self-sacrifice, and love for other and God above all else. There is a reason, more than any reason Patrick Stewart can logically account for, that the entire fan base of Star Trek has turned their backs on him. That reason is that, even men without God, recognise the foul rot of wickedness. So that even men and women with only a vague clue of what goodness is will turn away from the decay and stench of true commitment to evil, and towards something that unburdens them, illuminates their lives, and shows them a future not consumed by darkness. Many who had turned away from God are turning back to Him. Many who didn't know God at all are beginning to see the merit of Judeo-Christain values, and are beginning to ask questions. And poor, simple, honest Christian's are answering them with information that is blowing their minds sharing truth that speaks about evil, and against it, as powerfully today as it ever has. Answers that tell the truth about our mission, duty, and purpose here on earth, that we are called to change, to submit our ego's humbly to something good, selflessly and lovingly. To deny ourselves, pick up our cross, and follow Jesus Christ as immitators of Him, and falling, failing, and humbled, we arise and try again and again and again in the pursuit of a genuinly good way, God's way. The fight of good against evil never ends, never relents, and never changes. More people die today than have ever died in war, by poison and by choice. Over 1.5 billion have died in just fifty years, more than double all the wars spanning the last eight thousand years of war! All by the singular lie that a human life isn't important, and not valuable life, when it first starts, as it has always started since the beginning of human existance. All dead by the will of their very own care-giver, by the will of the very ones who should have loved them like God does, "Knowing us from before we were in our mothers womb." and who should have had enough love within them to endure for them. The purpose of evil is to destroy, it's destruction consuming even its own adherants. I don't know of anyone who wants their own destruction, save the wicked and ignorant. They believe they are helping because they can not believe what they see, their own soul and flesh rotting, decaying, burning, consumed with the lies and hate and gluttony and lust and perversion of it all. No, they must be good because, if they aren't, they know of nothing else in the world that is good, even as God is staring them in the face, His eyes staring straight at their souls as they burn. Humans can lie to themselves, stack lie upon lie until the truth is, "just your opinion, not mine." but, not so with God. God's eyes and vision are clear despite every lie ever told. God can not be out-run or hidden away from. His Son knew this very fact when He spoke the words, "There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." The wicked will reap what they have sown, and their names will forever be forgotten. My children have't ever seen a single episode of Star Trek: Picard or Star Trek: TNG, and they never will. The name, Patrick Stewart, will live in infamy, turned away from as a disgrace to humanity, a human who raised his own will above God's, decieved by the lies of goodness he told himself. Mr. Stewart, will be forgotten, his entire legacy laying in ruin at his feet. His end will be lonely and quickly forgotten, just as Ebinezer Scrooge's would have been. Only, Mr. Stewart isn't a "Scrooge" with money. Oh, no. He is a "Scrooge" of the soul, saving it, hording it, claiming it for his own, never to serve God, never to Love Him or know Him, never to see that this whole earth, this entire Universe, and the salvation of His Son, are all His gift to us. God has given powerfully to Mr. Stewart and Mr. Stewart has recognized none of it from whom it was given, claiming all that he has as his own. "Without me, you can do nothing." - Jesus Christ. And to nothing, Mr. Stewart, has been returned, by his own choice. Mr Stewart ignores the fact that, before science existed, God forged the very sun that rises every day in the sky, a marvel beyond anything humanity can achieve. Humanity can build smart phones out of the minerals and resources God has provided on earth. Who are we to play god? What a pitty. The world has lost by the death of Mr. Stewart but, a dead soul is of little worth, though his body still walk and talk in a vain parody of existence.

Patric Stewart is an utter disgrace to the craft of theater, acting, and story-telling. (I am a disgrace to typing abd spelling errors) How could any man, with such a distinguished career, commit to disgracing their own good work? Why and for what purpose? Star Trek Picard, with his own characters name on it, is ean exercise in mediocrity, embarasement, division, imorality, I mean, if it didn't have the characters name on the project, no one could recognise one character from the character of the other! From the work of this new thing, the character of the old wouldn't have had Q save his life. This Picard is no former Captain of worth, no man of integrity, principal, honor, morality, or tollerance. He's a flacid, inept, puppet, dancing to the tune of those with raging passions, no morals, no concept of integrity, or commitment to any ideals of worth. ST: TNG's Picard wouldn't have anything to do with ST Picard's Picard. Ah, well, that is what we get for believing that the man behind the character has any respect for the character he portrays. One man is amazing, dynamic, commanding, simply gushing integrity, moral up-rightness, and honesty, a man any former military man might be honored to meet. As a former military man, I can't even stomach the sight of Patrick Stewart now. Don't get me wrong, Hollywood is saturated with men and women of entirely flexable morality, loose living, divorce, infidelity, cheating, drugs, and alcohol, to name a few vices, as well as a mountain of bad life choices. Not one among them should be advising any one of us, who hasn't ever lived like that, how to live our lives or recomending to us how to make choices or what values we should have. I'd have thought a rare man, such as Mr. Stewart, dedicated to hard work, would have had a shred, a scrap, an inkling, a clue, that those who merit it succeed, not those who's skin color or gender fit's the proper political adgenda. There is an entire Star Trek episode dedicated to the insanity Patrick Stewart himself has embraced, one of eventual destruction. The name is appropriate: 'Let That Be Your Last Battlefield.' Ultimately, because Atheists and those who twist God into their own immage, have no teachings like, "Love your enemy, and do good to them" or "Love your neighbor as yourself." or "Do not overcome evil with evil, overcome evil with good." all they have is their emotional rage and passion, without integrity, honor, or virtue. Such relentless, immature, rage has but one outcome, perpetual division and destruction. Christians, as well as those who appreciate Judeo-Christian values, if not the God behind them, can live in absolute peace with evil, disagreeing with those who chose it but, not with violence and hate. Sadly, evil can not stand the good. They hate it, loath it, seek its complete destruction and the destruction of those who believe in God as well as the destruction of those who appreciate the integrity of Godly things, if not the God who instructs humanity in them. And so you get 2.6 thousand views, most respecters of good having turned their backs on you for chosing evil, chosing to be the antithesis of everything you once seemingly held in high regard. What a poor, lonely, abandoned, man. Gene Rodenberry was right. While Patric Stewart did have the acting chops to pull of the character, he was the wrong man to hold the torch because he wouls never have a clue about the gift of the one he held. I haven't watched a single episode of Star Trek: Picard or Star Trek: The Next Generation since the reviews hit The Critical Drinker. Me and mine will stick with the Origional Star Trek and the only Captain of the Enterprise worthy of the honor, William Shatner. He, personally, is a man with genuine character, integrity, and will power enough to stand up against the insanity of self destruction.
