Yeah when it comes to QBS like this the matches are determined when stakes are high. Playoff births, battles for homefield advantage or straight up head to head playoff elimination matches. That’s where great QBS deliver and okay ones disappear. Both of these QBS are elite.

Well, they were the number 4 ranked defense (behind Buffalo, San Francisco, and Denver) but I don’t think that’s the point anyway. The real point of conversation is the fact that​ people were so quick, and I mean SO QUICK to write off the Bucs’ defense as ‘amazing’. Yes, they were currently ranked top 5, but the key word is CURRENTLY. Every avid NFL fan knows how skewed rankings are within the first 5 or so weeks because at least 90% of these stats are skewed due to who you play. Here are who the Bucs had played so far in three weeks: Cowboys (same old Cowboys that everyone knows about LOL + Prescott got injured halfway through) Saints (you can see how bad their offense is. It’s their defense that’s good) Packers (a team that was also 2-1 due to their defense again. Aaron Rodgers nor the offense has been overly ‘impressive’ this season so far. Jones having one great running game against the Bears has been their highlight) IF the Bucs first three games were against something like Bills, Ravens, and Chiefs, I 100% guarantee you this defense would not be ranked even Top 20. In this case it’s very likely they would be 0-3 (especially if you assume the same situation would happen regarding C. Godwin and J. Jones injuries in combination with a decimated OLine) But the lesson here is: It’s who you play that sets up your current ‘rankings’

Brady played the best game of the season so far. He only had 3 passing TDs the first 3 games. Last night alone he had 3. Can't blame the GOAT if his defense was poor last night and kept the Buccs offense off the field. Mahomes had the ball for 17 more minutes than Brady and still only won by 10 points. Chiefs also converted 12 out of 17 3rd Downs. Brady outplayed Mahomes. Buccs only rushed for 3 total yards while Chiefs had 186 more rushing yards.

Everyone talks about the offensive line and Mahomes toe in that Super Bowl but the reason that game turned out the way it did was because the Chiefs were dealing with an assistant coach almost killing a five year old girl in a DUI wreck all during the week before the game. They had practically no real preparation the entire week before that game. People nationally don't understand how big that story was in Kansas City.

Mahomes was not loosing last night, the chiefs were pumped I'm sure coming back to play in the field the superbowl was. It was fun to watch, it would of been closer if not for the bucs shooting themselves in the foot. They showed a clip Brady is like 125-4 when his team scores 31 points. Pretty sure most QBs have a good record when scoring 31 points . Mahomes was magic, that floater pass td on the two yrd line right at the scrimmage line. Brady's fumble was the difference.

This is exactly what we needed a game where we truly used our offense at its full potential against a good defense

Chiefs o line is okay at pass blocking but they’re actually amazing at run blocking. Chiefs should try to be a little more balanced like they were last night and run more

@Nick Givens I remember a year when the Raiders beat us at Arrowhead and they lapped the parking lot in their tour bus. That was their only notable win of the season. If you want to celebrate the Colts, then I see a future similar to those Raiders.

Skip will never give Mahomes his due. Also, Reid and Bienemy deserve credit for they’re offensive play calling and creativity.

I’m not saying Mahomes isn’t the best QB in the game and doesn’t deserve a large portion of the credit.. but we did make it to the AFC Championship game the year before he took over and Reid did make it to four consecutive NFC championship games as well. I’m just saying Reid is slightly more important than Mahomes is. Reid was winning tons of games with mediocre QBs..

Skip can't give mahomes any credit. He loves that afc championship game. What he doesn't tell you is mahomes threw for 295 3 TDs and no picks. Brady had over 300 but had 1 TD and 2 picks. That was mahomes 1st year as a starter and it came to a coin flip. Mahomes never saw the ball. I'll give it to Brady he made it happen but the more efficient better QB was mahomes. If he had ball first that was game over for brady. Patriots defense was insane. They held the Rams who scored over 50 on KC to 3 points. It was his DEFENSE. But skip makes it about brady. Now if it were flipped and mahomes had over 300 but a TD and 2 picks and won on a coin flip he wld have given him zero credit. Especially if he only scored 13 in a superbowl. Also mahomes brady superbowl. Mahomes had a baby on the way, turf toe, 5 new offinsive lineman, and a bottom 5 defense. Brady had everything he needed. And won. Thats football injuries happen it idc how good you are it comes down to health at the end. If brady were in KC shoes skip wld have made allllllll kinds of excuses. "He has off the field thoughts, his team is hurt, his WRs weren't helping him" I wanna like brady but people like.skip make it hard. Brady cld throw 4 pick 6s with a fully healthy team and the best roster in the universe and it would be someone else's fault in skips eyes

It’s an anomaly how well KC ran the rock😂, which suggests goin in the game TB will shut down the run and Mahomeboy will have to throw 45 passes while running for his life, if KC can run it 70% of what they did last night they’ll be in the SB easily

The chiefs losing in a Superbowl game against a man who was on a brand new team and being held to 9 points in a game that actually mattered. And Brady still put up 31 points against them. 31 points. That's insane for Brady. Mahomes is a great QB, but Brady is still amazing. And truly, it's not Brady's fault the chiefs put up 41 points on them.

I think Tampa was a great team and might have beaten a fully operational KC team, but the Super Bowl blowout says little about either team
