I'm 55 and have been playing heavy metal guitar since 1987 - I adore Disco, the '70s were such an amazing time to be alive, and I loved that era of pop music and very much miss it (although I have to say the '80s were the best time to be alive EVER). So now I'm going to stick on some Boney M, Chic, Donna Summer, Village People, Bee Gees, Earth Wind & Fire, Eruption and whatever has a sniff of Disco in it, and I'm gonna play it LOUD 😝

I was 15yrs old & was a waiter at the most popular disco in Montreal when this came out. Yep, I was under age but told them I was 18, $200 a night in tips was big money at 15 in the 70s. Anyway, when this song came on even the staff was dancing & I still love this song today, packed full of energy. Another good energy one is Heaven Must Have Sent You,

To me ... they look like high school students, seniors, juniors & so on.... rehearsed the moves got together to do this video. And I know they are proud today they did it & could say "hey I was in this video....." that has over 13 million views. Well done ladies & gents!!! A few boys in the video too.....

Will, and KC & The Sunshine Band... even if I go to other planet alone, I will bring the usb-mp3... seriously, whenever I had tortures in my head as "wtf is going on... the world", I would play all the hits from them and this song with hours to days, and will go on to work next day. Just now going to continue renovating my house with ear-speakers, as the first tool I always grab on my belt - later everything else.

It's worth remembering that when this song first came out back '79 Moldova was part of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics where western disco music was banned for being decadent, bourgeois and counter revolutionary. These girls' parents and grandparents wouldn't have been allowed to hear the song let alone dance to it.

This is an amazing example of what can happen when people get together and they share a goal - in this case, they want to dance together according to choreography in an uplifting song. Amazing feat! Great energy, great coordination and great spirit! The world in great and small need this :)

Such awesome music and talent with young people. I wish there were more dads and moms supporting their daughters in this dance.

Glad to see so many women came together to glorify this song and give it a real purpose! Fabulous job to all involved 👍👍👍

This group has to be about 90%+ female, most of them attractive and they found the best ones to put up front, especially the ones with the knotted shirt and yellow tank top. These wonderfully talented young ladies look like they’re having the time of their lives. The dancing, sequencing is obviously to another song but works really well with this massive European dance hit. This would cheer anyone up.

You can tell the ladies in the front line are in their 20's (teachers) ... girls behind them are their students..... they had to at least rehearsed all these moves for a month or 2 months ... which is great because from what I found out, seems they did their moves to a different song at the time when recorded. Their moves, pretty much went into sequence with Born To Be Alive, and with no doubt these ladies have to be even prouder that song /Born to be Alive/ has probably increased the views of their video by OVER 14 MILLION......

Think I saw this video back in 2015, and I was having debates with other commenters as to which country this is. All I can say is THANK YOU, MOLDOVA!

This is great ! Great choreography and getting all those girls to be that in sync is a pretty amazing feat. I had forgotten too how hot the guitar playing is that song. Critics be damned. NONE of these people were alive when the song was originally released. I showed my twin girls a few videos from my youthful years, they think I'm mental. Got my own back on them though, played a video from a few years later and they asked "what's this one?"........ This my dear daughters? Oh this was your mum's favourite song........ coincidentally it was also the soundtrack to your conception!!!!! should have seen their faces, priceless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
