I was so impressed by this podcast, I shared it to my 20-year-old son and told him that if he listened to the entire interview and wrote a 300 word essay I would forgive his $300 debt that he has with me. Patrick’s wise words are more valuable than any amount of money. I pray that my son will take me up on it, and if he does and if I see a change in him I will be forever grateful to Patrick and hopefully one day he will be able to know that he made an impact on my son.

Patrick always responds not in a philosophical ("think about it") or motivational ("feel good") way, but in a pragmatic ("go do something NOW") way. You don't just get a high that makes you feel good, you get a slap on the back to make you move forward...if you really want to. After this, it's up to you/me. Either you/I take action or keep.hiding/excusing yourself/myself.

Pure gold. Very necessary to take this advice for a strong foundation for a marriage. Marriage no longer has society as an ally to stay married and work through problems. Very unrealistic to expect big problems not to occur. Divorce destroys everything built and then a new marriage occurs from the start and will have the same problems.
