Damn he is good! Never watched his stand-up before. His facial expressions are hilarious and you can just look at him and see he gonna make you laugh. Thanks for turning me on to Mr. O'Neal. Tragedy he is gone so young. Chapelle, Pryor, Carlin but Katt, Greg Giraldo and Patrice are not to far behind

Brian, you know it’s all generational as to who’s the best of all time. I’m 66 so of course I’m thinking Prior Carlin but then in the 80s it was Murphy you know right now there’s a Bill Burr there’s Patrice it’s all generational and each new generation believes their generation is the best but you gotta think about the groundbreakers I’ll take Moms Mabley lol she was a genius

There are many timeless comedians who work in multiple mediums, but as far as comics that thrive solely on Stand-Up and are the best at it, my choices would have to be Bill Burr, Jim Gaffigan, and probably Louie C.K. All three of these men have found success in acting as well but their true love has always been stand up. And all three of them changed comedy in their own way, and will always sell out arenas and theatres as long as they are still working because they have such huge fan bases. Honorable mentions to Norm Macdonald, Ralphie May, Patrice O’Neal, Tom Segura, Big Jay Oakerson, Bert Kreisher, Joe Rogan, Ron White, Kevin Pollak, Richard Genie, George Carlin, Kevin James, Dan Cummins, Jeff Foxworthy, and of course Dave Chappelle.
