Curious to why you did not just dig or excavate 42in down and fill the hole with Concrete. that will prevent movement as is below the frostline assuming you in the northern part of the country.

I certainly could have. We do freeze down to 42”. Footings would have ensured the oven doesn’t shift. However that would have been a lot of digging. I went with 6” crushed rock and 6” 5000psi concrete with 1/2” rebar. After a couple years, this has resisted cracking and movement so far.
