As a Respiratory Therapy Student I appreciated the explanation and illustration clarity. The presentation was direct, succinct, well spoken and very digestable for students at many levels. THANK YOU! Alan D. Bosch, RT Student TTC, MUSC Respiratory Dept.
I've spent 4 months in my second to last nursing semester and you explained COPD more clearly in the first 14 minutes than my instructors have all semester.
I have been struggling to understand the pathophysiology of COPD, it just wouldn't sick in. I finally get it, thank-you so much.
Returning to practice and reviewing the chronic diseases-thank-you for the clarity. Matching clinic symptoms to the pathological process is YOUR talent. Very appreciated!
I’m currently a nursing student and one of my module tutors has suggested watching all your pathophysiology videos. I have now managed to watch most them and I’m delighted to say that you are doing a wonderful job 👍! Thank you so much for all your help and for taking the time to explain these diseases!

I been living with Asthma COPD for 7 years, its very similar to the one called Enphazema and bronchitis, but COPD basically means lung damage, and if you have Asthma it goes through all the same stages, it is really a delight that this knowledge and information is out here and especially on KZread. Thanks!

I have copd, and I wondered if there was a direct relationship between the results of a spirometer test, and how breathless you are on your worst days. Brilliantly explained video, thank you so much.
Am studying for my oncology nurse certification test, and am finding your videos to be a great addition/ refresher for pathophysiology. Thanks for making this as painless as possible!

Thank you so much for explaining this. My partial diagnosis is COPD, yet I find that in the summer, with sufficient moderate exercise my symptoms largely disappear. I use Albuterole and Asmanex. The symptoms I have do not include throat constriction, just excessive coughing. Now I understand the etiology of my condition much better.

This is such a great video! Thank you!
Excellent work. The cilia is definitely key and most forget to mention that even focusing on the lung function thereby showing their lean towards pharmacology technology rather than biological function. Except that they also know some people go bald, sweat less or not at all, loose cilia, and other factors such as Alpha-1 genetically are related as well it seems like. I'm not a Dr. but everyone I know that has has COPD has a complex mixture of many of these factors indicating a definite genetic predisposition. Thank you for that word about Fibrosis too.

Thanks Andrew! It started a bit slow . . . I almost navigated away. I am soooooo glad that I didn't. My doctor just informed me that I "may" have either chronic bronchitis or emphysema. I had no concepts about either. It may have made more sense for him to note that I likely had COPD Thanks again for the very informative video.
Thank you very much. You explained it much much better than our prof:)
