Great video, bookmarked for easy reference. A couple notes: Protection from Arrows loses value in the second part of act 3 and becomes useless starting with act 4. Abyssal Huntresses have +1 shock bows. Typed DR can get bypassed by strong enough enchantment bonuses. +3 counts as Silver and Cold Iron, +4 counts as Adamantine and +5 can even pierce alignment based DR. Thankfully there's not too many enemies with +4 or better weapons, mostly elite Minotaurs and some Mariliths. Animal Growth size increase is buggy and will not work on animal companions which have grown as part of their level progression. Life Bubble protects against some effects Delay Poison doesn't, like Acid Fog or Mind Fog.

Thanks for the video. I am finding your channel is a great resource for understanding a lot of the mechanics I wouldn't otherwise be aware of, especially due to how long a playthrough is. For example I am currently playing a dex based rowdy 1/ elemental rampager Azata. Basically it stack dex, uses huge fire elemental form, vital strike, zippy magic, cleave and elemental barrage, with massive bonus from rampage, buffs, and the azata might ability. Plus summons and a dragon pet. I wouldn't have been able to build it if not for your videos Thanks

Great great stuff my man! The details people need! If you are looking for video ideas I have a request. Could you do a video on sword and shield similarly to how you did your archer video. There's lots of ways to build sword and board ie tank/shieldbashdps/support and I think the game offers so many subclasses that can do sword and shield well. I'm thinking fighter/ranger/warpriest hell even skald. Anyways keep up the good work bro love this one!

In regards to the protection from arrows communal version its important to note that this buff is actually affected by spell resistance. Which means that if your chars have really high spell resistance they might actually resist to getting buffed by it. I would normally assume its a bug because the single target version doesn't have this issue, but the spell description states that it is affected by spell resistance. Also this is how the buff it worked ( and still works as of the last patch ) in Kingmaker. Weird actually.

Yeah, I believe it is a bug as well. I have reported it already, sadly some beneficial spells also have this limitation while others don't. The party buff from Prayer for example. Or how Inspiring Command is blocked by immunity to mind-affecting!

For "personal" spells, the Reach metamagic should in theory; change personal to close range so that you can cast them on anyone. A metamagic rod should also work. Ive not tested this but it should work besides having a transmuter or alchemist.

Reduce person is useful, if you want to mount medium type of animal companion.

You are correct, I talk about it in my Mounted Combat Guide. It can help a lot in the early game when most animal companions are still medium.

Hello cRPG Bro, First off, love the videos, +1 sub from me. But I also wanted to ask if there was any chance of a Video about Summoner builds? I mean, like to the depth you go to on other things. Like comparisons between Good/Evil Summon Monster, Natures ally and so on, and plus the different class stuff + mythic options. Here's some examples off the top of my head - Monster Tactician - Teamwork feats, but from what I've read evil summons are better than the good ones, which limits mythic path options. Am curious to how a Lich Monster Tactician might perform though. Can get an animal pet, but that's alignment restricted, so its really restrictive on feats/alignment/deities if you want to make an Evil Monster Tactician with an Animal companion. Druids - Natures ally plus all the special stuff like Creeping Doom, Elemental Swarm, and Purple Worm. (I intend on making a pure druid summoner with the angels path for oodles of summons and buffs.) Angel spellbook stacking as a bonus too. Oracle - Nature Oracles get Natures Ally as a bonus, and can boost allies saving throws, plus an animal pet. Abyssal Sorcerers get another enhanced summons that adds a further +1 to things summoned, and a bit of DR but I don't think the evil DR would be of great help in this setting. Beast Bard - Unsure how far an Azata Bard can push their pets with their songs and mythic abilities, but might be really good? You can even show all the items for summons/pets are, or talk about shenanigan tactics like the Devil Mythic path purposefully blowing up their summons and skeletons. Just a huge pet/summoner fan here, but not many videos go into great detail or actually show creatures stats, and a lot of what I read contradicts what I read elsewhere, so not really sure what the best summoners are. Right now I've not finished the first chapter yet, been experimenting with Monster Tactician, Druid, and Natures Oracle to see which I want to start with. Decided on Summoning Druid. Thanks bunches!

I am actually planning on a Summoner Guide that will cover all that, just waiting for patch 1.2 to start my Aeon run because I heard Aeons have some pretty neat abilities to empower your summoned creatures. I also really enjoy summoners (necromancers mostly) but have yet to try a full run devoted to it, but I'll sure talk about it in the future as I play my Aeon run 😃

@@cRPGBro - Awesome, cant wait to see it. Wasnt aware a new patch was soon. I heard Aeons are buggy right now, especially with inquisitors bane and aeons gaze canceling each other out or something. I'm not sure why people say its good for summons though, the only feature I see for summons specifically is the rank 6 gaze ability, which seems okay, but i wouldn't call it a class defining feature. But ya, love summoners/pets, but I can't sink the time in like 60 hours per class I want to try to test to see if something works or not, or builds that only blossom in like the last act of a game, which is what most guides have been so far. (But not yours!)

I am wondering if the Transformation spell works up to level 40 if a Brown Fur casts it on a Legend mythic path character or if it is capped to level 20.

I'll be sure to test it on my Legend run! I do believe Legend can get more than 20 BAB from leveling and such, so I imagine the Legend character themselves can get a lot more than 20 BAB from the level increases.

@@cRPGBro Skill points and attack bonus do keep adding up as you gain more levels over 20 as a Legend Mythic path for sure. That is one of the main things about Legend. While you lose your mythic abilities (except levels 1 and 2 mythic hero ability and feat) you get a higher level cap and stat bumps. I'm currently using a Mod that added in the Brawler Class in order to RP a One Punch Man type character and it has been a lot of fun on Legend.

How does seamantle cover ac work? Doesn't increase ac after casting it

It's one of the bonuses that only show during combat, if the enemy attacks you, you'll be able to see the +8 to AC as Cover in the combat log. It should always work so long as the enemy does not have Freedom of Movement.

Does shatter defenses work on enemies on unfair? Also does AC bonus from Legendary proportions, Frightful aspect, Transformation stack?

These AC bonuses don't stack but you can combine Legendary proportions with Reduce person to gain additional Dex and AC bonus.

Shatter Defenses will work on Unfair just as the other difficulties, enemies don't get to save or make any check against it. What they do need is to first be Shaken, and the best way to do that is the Frightful Aspect spell because it has an aura that lasts for 1m/caster level and Shakens without a save! Or Dazzling Display, but that does let the enemies resist. And those AC bonuses should not stack as they're all Size boosts I believe. Actually, I do think the Transformation one can stack!

I am playing Mad dog+gendarme the dog rider now, is there any chance to size my dog up? Like you said animal growth doesn't work for it.

There is! You can cast Legendary Proportions on them. Animal Growth will actually give the bonuses fine, it just doesn't increase the model.

Do you rest between every fight? The way you talka bout durations and that you only pick 1 slot of magic shield (which doesn't last 1h/lvl like mage armor but 1round/lvl) makes me ask that.

Nope, it's all about having Enduring & Greater Enduring Spells for 24h duration on most buffs! Shield is actually 1 min/level, so doable. You can also use Lesser Extend Metamagic Rods early on to double the duration. As far as 1 round/level buffs, I often just use it before boss battles or tough encounters. Some like Haste can be spammed though due to just being level 3 and because of how amazing it is.

the 24h mythic ability to enhance magic only lasts for magic thats already last 1h. Haste only lasts for 1 round.

Yeah, I really wish some of the abilities and spells actually had 100% the effects described because it can really matter. But at the very least, I can only a small number of them have these "hidden" effects. For example, the demon Stoneskin tier spell can also give up to +7(!!!) Natural AC as Enhancement, except it's not stated on the description. Imagine missing out on such a strong effect.
