Yeah, I find it really fun when we are stacked to the max with buffs and then just destroy all the supposedly tough demons in our path! And thank you, I'm glad the new mic is proving worth the investment.

The size bonus for weapon damage is two steps on the table per size change unless you are starting at 1D6 or less or are starting small or smaller. A quarterstaff master with legendary proportions would see an increase of 5 sizes over the original 1D6, the first of one step to 1D8, the second would increase two steps to 2D6, and increases three, four and five would each be two steps bring the total to 6D6.

This video could just as well be titled "how to win at this game" or even "know this to have a more enjoyable in game experience." When I was learning this game and spending hours on end casting meaningless spells, respecing, etc. You did the hard work for us here. My advice to new players, watch this video on one screen and make a spreadsheet out of the information on another. You'll be using that spreadsheet ALL THE TIME on your first run. Thanks so much - this type of information is essential given the lack of documentation for the game and the absence of any other methodical explanation. It's become clear to me that the real trick to playing this game is finding the best way to stack buffed de-buffs, etc. None of the martial or magical abilities matter if your opponent simply scatters your party with something like fear.

Archaeology. Bard gives a. Luck bonus on its song that progresses from +1 to +4 by the end of the tree, and it applies only to your MC. Also the Seamantle spell gives a +8 Cover bonus to AC.

@@cRPGBro Yeah, I think Seamantle is the only Cover bonus I've personally seen in the games yet. And I just had to mention the Arch buff as you did mention luck bonuses, though Archy really seems kinda lackluster overall, another trickster path.

this game is insane. i have over 400 hrs played and im still learning new things and have only done 2 of the mythic paths so far. name me another game with as much replayability lol

Guarded Stance rage power can give you a large dodge increase to AC and reflex saving throws. And the dodge bonus can be doubled against ranged attacks.

You are correct! It's just that we can only have a single Stance at the same time, so I prefer to leave it for Lethal Stance for more AB. But for characters that want maximum AC, it sure is a great choice.

Thanks for these videos man. I've played and beat dos2 as well as wasteland 3 but this is my first game with the dnd or Pathfinder tabletop rules. I started on and have stayed on core difficulty. Super rough early on trying to learn the systems and I made a couple mistakes leveling my characters but I'm too stubborn to change difficulty to custom so I've just soldiered on. Currently in drezen with my main character being an inquisitor with the leader swift tactician subtype. Rocking regill, daeran, nenio, lann, and seelah.

Does the shieldmaster feat use the magical vestment +7 enhancement? That would make a shield the highest enhancement weapon in the game.

It does, for up to +10 Shield Enhancement to AB & Damage! As I will show you in my Shield Basher Guide coming pretty soon tomorrow :)

Hello, I have a question. In 6:15 you're showing your AC bonuses, yes? I noticed that in the AC tooltip you were receiving +18 AC from DEX but only have a +8 bonus from your DEX from your stat spread. How was that possible? Btw, great guides you've received a sub!

Hi there and thank you for the sub! The +18 DEX is actually +18 from CHA because of the Oracle Revelation called Nature's Whispers from Nature Mystery. It makes your CHA mod be applied to AC instead of DEX, but the tooltip still treats it as "DEX".

Why would you cast reduce person on Aru when using composite bow? Wouldn't it be better to cast legendary proportions on her?

Yeah, that was just to show Size Reducing bonus to DEX, AC & AB. I prefer to have ranged characters with Legendary Proportions indeed!

Judgements are all sacred bonuses so a Judge could give sacred buffs to attack, damage, ac, saving throws, and most impressively caster concentration checks and checks to overcome spell resistance.

I forgot to cover Judgments, but they are indeed extremely useful in Wrath, because you eventually get to turn multiple ones at the same time, but most importantly, achieve infinite uses through Everlasting Judgment so you have them for every single battle!

I have an Azata half elf that has 1 level in fighter, 9 in bronze dragon sorcerer, and the rest in Eldritch knight. How would I best achieve a build that can get the stats you have here?

You can keep the build levels, and then just invest in buffs/gear: 1. Believe in Yourself Azata Mythic Spell for Morale bonuses to the stats of your choice 2. Legendary Proportions for +6 size to STR With both the above you can already get +11 to STR, besides other buffs like Profane Ascension by accepting Nocticula's Gift for +6 Profane, or +4 from Shy Lily Helmet Artifact. 3. +2 Inherent from the special potion by accepting Woljif's proposal at one of the last Crusade Council events, or getting the Tome of STR. 4. +6 Enhancement from Belt of STR, or +4 from Bull's Strength. That's already more than +20 to STR 😃 You can also get 1 level into Vivisectionist for +4 STR Mutagen instead of the Fighter level, since Martial Weapons Proficiency to qualify for EK can be acquired as a normal feat during level up.

Skald capstone ability gives a stacking type of Haste for the Ronneck's Sacrifice boots bonuses!

Temp HP usually stacks from different sources. So the key is to cast multiple spells that give it: Burst of Glory, False Life, Greater False Life, Greater Heroism, Spirit Boost from Life Oracle like Daeran is, etc. I cover the best spells for them in my Arcane & Divine Buffs Guides: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oZ170KVqiLSwlZs.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/oq51w5uFl8qpn7g.html

The worst part about stacking imo is that it's not just needlessly complex, it's actually counter-intuitive. Obviously having bracers on should add something to how well I can take a blow compared to just having my armor. Most people will intuitively assume that 'all buffs (from a single specific source) stack'. I get the intent and logic behind Mathfinder 1e, but I completely disagree with it. It's dumb, and again, totally needlessly complex. Does anyone know if 2e has fixed this?

Physical DR is probably the hardest to stack, as most sources will not stack at all, and they don't go high. The easiest way is to get Stoneskin Communal for 10 Physical DR. Besides that you have some pretty small sources like Barbarian Class feature or Skald Rage Power. As for Elemental Damage, Resist Energy Communal combined with Proctection from Energy Communal are the best sources!

So basically strength and animal characters get enlarged and dex characters get shrinked?

Yes, usually. But you can also enlarge DEX characters if you don't want to tank with them and would rather have reach for higher melee range = enemies won't target you and go for whoever is closest instead. The thing is there's way more buffs that enhance STR, for DEX as far as Size only Trickster has a buff that goes beyond +2. And something like Legendary Proportions or Frightful Aspect increase size but won't reduce DEX AND also provide a hefty stacking boost to AC, so later it might be best to also enlarge DEX chars through them.

I think Legendary proportions and Inspired Rage shouldn't be stacking. It looks like one buff is Natural armor and another Natural Armor. Most likely someone made a coding error and capitalized the A for legendary proportions. The logic probably looks for the exact name of the buff and if they match you choose the highest one (dodge being the exception).

Hi there, the thing is there's all sorts of different Natural Armor bonuses, and Natural AC, together with Dodge + Untyped are one of the very few sources that allow stacking when it comes to the same/similar type. Legendary Proportions Nat AC is from a Size spell, which is why it stacks with Beast Totem from Skald, as they're from completely different sources, even if both are Natural AC. Natural AC just works like that, usually only +Enhancement bonuses won't stack, or bonuses of Natural AC from the SAME source like Legendary or Frightful Aspect, both of which are size increasing spells. There's just a lot of sources of Natural AC, a pretty common one being from race or actual natural monster AC like many monsters have. The key is to identifying when they stack and when they don't.

this is actually my biggest problem with pathfinder. Instead of using the cool damage spells you're largely incentivized to just stack the shit out of buffs and use up all your spell slots for them. It makes for a tedious and monotonous gameplay. Fantastic video though.

On my first and so far only playthrough I played a demon Sorcerer, and I could cast fire storm 3x a turn for 1000+ damage to the full screen. It was cool for a while, but the solution to everything being "blow up the whole screen" kind of got a bit boring eventually. Casters are good, but they also very much rely on buffs to not instantly die. But the dumbest part of it all, is that even though I spammed buffs like crazy, I only had half the stat line here, because as it turns out that Seelah and Sosiel could almost double it with the right build, but those were 2 characters that I didn't like, and died in act 5.

So basically Skalds Paladins and Clerics are OP, because for some reasons they give ridiculous buffs that stack with everything.

Best buffs level guide exist?

Thank you for the tip! I believe the main difference is that we have a lot more sources in Wrath, especially of certain bonuses like Profane. And of course, some gear that we still don't have in Wrath, I really hope we get the Kingmaker items added eventually!
