About arcane slayer to take notice. Sure, the "bolt" Arcane exploits are not that great, but the other ones are quite good. Armored mask is a Mage armor and shield of faith that lasts a looong time and it enables Archimage Armor as well. Dimensional slide is great for repositioning, since it is a move action. It works really well with rowdy-vital strike, cleave and low mobility tanks builds Wooden flesh makes you a plant, with all immunities of the plant type, like paralysis, poison and mind-affect effects Spell Resistance might not be great, but helps against those encounters where you have multiple low level mobs casting save or suck effects (like those succubi always present on act 4 or those fire demons)

This is especially relevant now in the most current patch, since Owlcat changed Archmage Armor so that giving yourself Mage Armor through potions no longer gives you the Mythic Bonus.

The problem with that is unless you are going for something like monk/barb, why do you need mage armor as a melee? Sword saints can already get it for themselves, and most of the other melee class types either come with armor proficiency and the ones that don't probably shouldn't be either tanking or in the front line at all to begin with. However if for some reason you feel your melee needs dimensional slide and martial weapons/armor (say like a rogue or something) then I could see it being useful. But in general kinda eh.

Instructions unclear. Rolling an imitator for an unfair solo run. I predict nothing will go wrong.

Imitator could probably finish the game, maybe even on Unfair w the right gear & mythics, it's just such a weird archetype that gives up strong class features for a theme that isnt very practical. There's no rational explanation for why they built the class the way they did and included it in the game but didnt even bother to explain how its mechanics work.

The Deliverer benefits a lot from a 2-3 level dip in Paladin Divine Scion, You are going to play lawful good anyway so why not get divine grace, divine health, and aura of courage while advancing your studied target bonuses.

Not really. Slayer doesnt have any reason to take charisma. There is no more reason to take a paladin dip for this than any other martial class. Also, losing improved quarry and 2 bonus feats an archetype that already loses 2 bonus feats isnt great.

Chaotic good is just as viable as lawful good. Really you're fine as long as you aren't CN, NE or CE.

Stygian Slayer is not optimal but its fine for a themed character. I throw it on Wenduag sometimes bc it describes her so perfectly, she can still easily be built into someone who slays efficiently (dual throwing axes + sneak attack is popular & effective for her as a Slayer or Cult Leader) but can slink away if targeted or injured.

Yup that makes sense.

Vanguard is B+. It's similar to Freebooter subclass of the Ranger. You can couple it with an intelligence based summoner (best option is Preservationist subclass of the Alchemist) and play as an orchestra chef, marking enemies and occasionally making a ranged attack or tossing bomb because Vanguard's Bond ability depends on your Intelligence. Definitely not the strongest build but is fun and unique.

Always happy to see your archetype videos 😀 gives me ideas for hiring a mercenary

As someone who has managed to get some stellar loot below the Lost Chapel without fighting those annoying enemies, I'll never underestimate the usefulness of Invisibility ever again. (I surprised myself in being able to get the loot, aggro the spectres and golems, and then flee the scene without them chasing the rest of my party.) Even in combat, invisibility/greater invisibility can be a great "Get Out of Jail" spell for casters as it turns off aggro from them and they can walk away quickly without the acrobatics feat. Nenio's swift invisibility perk is a prime example of how great that can be. Sounds like you could do something similar with the Stygian Slayer when they're low on HP and you want to heal them up before doing a sneak attack on a target when they jump right back into the fray.

Slayer was my class in KM when I played it like 2 years ago. I started wotr a week or 2 ago and picked...Slayer. I might have a type.

I assume it helps you structure the admittedly vast and complex system that is pathfinder. Anyway, thanks for the guide. It was very informative.

To make spawn slayer more powerful if you add a dip on demonslayer and because there's alot of huge demons this can make your fights in the game trivial.

Arcane Enforcer is A- tier. It's the best ranged slayer archetype. It gives you bunch of ranged elemental attacks that target touch armor class, can sneak attack thus apply Studied Target and benefit from feats like Deadly Accuracy. The game play loop is you begin combat from stealth shooting an Arcane Exploit which sneak attacks, applies Studied Target and potentially applies a debuff then start shooting with your ranged weapon. This sub-sclass also has access to very good defensive abilities like Armored Mask. The only downside is Arcane Exploits rely on charisma which is a dumb stat for most slayers.

My first class was Spawn Slayer and it felt good RP-wise and gameplay-wise.

So when I want a 1 level dip that grants mage armor (arcane mask I think) and 1 bab which can be powerful for duelist builds. That's what I use arcane enforcer for, but it really is a super specific build concept.

If you are taking it for tankiness, 1 level of witch gets you mage armour, iceplant and a familiar, which with the ring, is an additional +5 AC. For a tank, this is a very easy trade to make for a single point of BAB.

Really wish Stygian Slayer could make like one round of attacks while incorporeal, would really add to the way you play it imo. Appreciate the content as always man, thank you ✊

Idk. I tried basic slayer and was very satisfied with the performance. It did exactly what it says it would. Deliverer seems a good choice in Wrath - roleplaying wise and since a large number of enemies are chaotic evil. I'd say S- . Havent tried multi-classing though.

I’m about to start an executioner legend build rn. The idea is to grab demon slayer in addition to slayer with my bonus levels and maintain the RP of an assassin-headhunter that’s still better than the actual assassin class.

The one cool-but-not-redeeming thing about Imitator is that fighter stance gives you BAB rather than an attack and damage boost, meaning you can get 25 BAB

Good work. Im currently lplaying wotr and its great so far. Its funny during kingmaker paytbrough i played no turn based no wotcbi play 90 oersent turn based and canr see me doing anyless. Funny . Yo slandered mabey from ur multiple playthroughs a video can be made of some of ur most menorable or challenging fights preferably non main boss fights . I just fought a wizerad in drezen who scaraficed a group of followers and made her nearly invincable .... nearly . Took me like 9 tries and had to use disoell magic on her for as many times as ember could cast and summon alot of skellies and such to keep her from one shotting my guys . It was the most cballenging fight for me thus far and will be remembed.

@@SlanderedGaming Took me just a couple of seconds to find Imperious Bloodline, a Sorcerer archetype with Bard fluff, available only to humans, so this makes their decision look even more awkward.

Spawn slayer was probably one of my smoothest pure melee runs against Deskari on hard (i dont play on unfair) lol

Does Arcane Enforces still could be decent choice for meele slayer with lil bit of range spells options?

Which class would you recommend for playing a swarm? I heared sorc is awesome pick for it but im unsure.

shadowy mist form does not prevent you from attacking, it pretty good but demonic aspect already provide that as that option

I think you are judging vanguard too hard, it is straight up an upgrade over the base class, losing two feats as a slayer means nothing, you already get so many extra feats you end up running out of good feats by lvl 16. Giving study target to the team and uncanny dodge are better than the 2 feats imho

There's a case to be made for that. As a general rule I cannot stand the Tactician class so I might have undervalued it.

You auto study if you do sneak attack damage to the target. Spawn slayer in effect loses nothing effectively

The Studied Target bonuses increases based on size but sneak attack damage doesn't automatically study the target.

Strange choice of character for thumbnail. Doesn't look like someone who studies targets before killing them. Slayer is just a rogue/rangerlike character focused exclusively on killing.
