Pathamudayam is a 1985 Indian Malayalam film, directed by J. Sasikumar and produced by Balakrishnan Nair. The film stars Mohanlal, Urvashi, M. G. Soman and T. G. Ravi in lead roles.This was Mohanlal's first double role movie . The film had musical score by Darsan Raman.
The movie starts with Menon who is supposedly an honest rich man and a clean-hearted guy. However all this is a facade as he is a terror called LION in the world of crime. He is the man under whom black-marketing, smuggling and robberies flourish. No-one has an idea about his evil deeds. Not even his close friend IG B. G. Menon. Menon is very worried at the sorry state of affairs in the city and state. The government requests to bring back Inspector Jayamohan to the city as he is an honest and fearless cop. Jayamohan comes to town and starts cracking on the criminals with an iron hand. Jayamohan is a widower who has 2 small children. Besides them IG Menon loves him like his own son and treats the children as his grandchildren. After making substantial raids Jayamohan comes to know that Lion C. Menon is a corrupt man and a demon for the society. He plans to spill the beans in front of everyone but is killed by Lion C. Menon's men. Before dying, he keeps a typical clue for the police to nab the criminal, but nobody is able to understand what the clue says. Menon is heartbroken and he loses hope in life. Due to a friend he comes to know that there is a ferocious prisoner Vikrman in a jail who resembles Jayamohan. Menon visits him but finds him a beastly figure. Still in an attempt to trace the criminal he gets him released and takes him to a hill station where he attempts to transform him. But Vikrman is a tough nut to crack. However after sometime it is Jayamohan's sister who wins the heart of the fugitive. Vikrman was in prison as he had murdered the people who had raped his sister. He was still in search of the main culprit Bhadran who was a fellow shooter with Vikrman in a circus but wanted to enrope his talent in killing a man. Vikrman makes peace with Menon and slowly but steadily transforms into a police inspector. He manages to win the heart of Valsala and even the kids of Jayamohan accept him as their father. He finds the truth behind the Jayamohan's murder and brings Lion C. Menon to the hands of law. In the process he manages to win friend like Rahim and eliminate his old enemy Bhadran.

1996 ൽ തിയേറ്ററിൽ നിന്ന് കണ്ട സിനിമയാണ് പത്താമുദയം. മോഹൻലാലിന്റെ ആദ്യത്തേ സോളോ സൂപ്പർ ഹിറ്റാണ്. 76 ൽ ശത്രുവിനെ നായകനാക്കി സുഭാഷ് ഘായി സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത കാളിചരൺ എന്ന ഹിന്ദി സിനിമയുടെ റീമേക്കാണ്. കന്നഡയിൽ വിഷ്ണു വർദ്ധൻ നായകനായ കാലിങ്കയും തമിഴിൽ ശിവാജി ഗണേശൻ അഭിനയിച്ച സാങ്കിലിയും, തെലുങ്കിൽ ശോഭൻ ബാബു നായകനായ കൈതി കാളിദാസുടുവും കാളിചരൺന്റെ റിമേക്കുകളാണ്.
1976 ൽ ഇറങ്ങിയ ഹിന്ദി ചിത്രം 'കാലി ചരൺ' ന്റെ മലയാളം റീമേക്ക്. ഹിന്ദിയിൽ ശത്രുഘൻ സിൻഹയുടെ ശക്തമായ നായക കഥാപാത്രം മലയാളത്തിൽ 25 വയസുകാരൻ പയ്യൻ മോഹൻലാൽ അവതരിപ്പിച്ച് കൈയ്യടി നേടിയ ചിത്രം. മോഹൻലാലിന്റെ ആദ്യ Double Role വേഷം. Bollywood സംവിധായകൻ സുഭാഷ് ഗായിയുടെ 1976ൽ ഇറങ്ങിയ ആദ്യ ചിത്രം മലയാളത്തിൽ 1985ൽ റീമേക്ക് ചെയ്തത് സംവിധായകൻ ശശികുമാർ. ലാലേട്ടന്റെ ആദ്യ നായക സൂപ്പർ ഹിറ്റ് ചിത്രം. പിന്നീട് 1986 ൽ ആണ് രാജാവിന്റെ മകൻ ഇറങ്ങുന്നത്.

2023 ൽ കാണുന്ന ഞാൻ.... പൊളി bgm....
ഈ മൂവി യെ കുറിച് എന്റെ ഒരു കൂട്ടുകാരനാണ് എന്നോട് പറഞ്ഞത് 2014ഇൽ അന്ന് അവൻ പറഞ്ഞത് NO17 and LION. ഈ കാര്യാമാണ് പക്ഷെ മൂവി നെയിം അവനു അറിയില്ലായിരുന്നു.. അത് കൊണ്ട് ഞാനൊത്തിരി തപ്പി 6 യേഴ്സിന് ശേഷം ഇപ്പോൾ ഈ പടം കാണാൻ പറ്റി 💓
