it’s amazing how smoothly he sails to the line. he weaves through horses and pushes forwards and just glides to every win. truly a legend

His win the other night in the Japan Cup reminded a lot of his win at Meydan in the Dubai Sheema Classic. Lemaire relaxed the entire time because he knew what he had under him. And just like at Meydan, Equinox scarcely ever even off the bridal at any time in the race when galloping right on by the frontrunners and leaving them all for dead like he was out doing a morning work. This horse is really impressive.
Never seen a horse let down so well when asked to go, it's quite incredible. 😀😀
This for me is one of the best I have ever seen. Such a beautiful economical action and effortless acceleration. Wonderful horse.
Honestly Dubai win looked like the easiest one he had, the only one where he was frontrunning like it's a morning training, lol.

Nice that he appreciates the horse a lot too giving him lots of pats at the end a lot of jockeys don’t really give the horses any pats after racing

Equinox, doesn't run a bad race!! He ranks up there with the best, Like Galileo, Frankel, Dubawi, Sea The Stars, Winx, and others. Can't wait to see his upcoming race, it could be his last. It's going to be fun.

Frankel and Winx never travelled overseas to race against the best. Frankel just stuck to his pet distance and never won the biggest races in his home country such as the Derby and the King George. Winx's owners turned down 4 invitations to the Japan Cup over 4 years because they knew she couldn't win over a mile and a half against the world's best.

@@janetmarshall7171 I'm not against Winx as I won some coin on her first Cox Plate when she was a relative unknown as I thought she was a quality horse at good odds. She has a great race record but the facts are she raced against mainly poor quality opposition for most of her winning streak and it was a weak era (and still is) in Australian racing in the middle distance up to the classic mile and a half and her owners dodged real competition overseas. BLU is far more impressive in regularly defeating the other legends of the turf in Australia in the strongest era of Australian racing and that incredible win in Japan and that is reflected in his superior Timeform rating over Winx. Don't forget in the years 1989 to 1992 that BLU raced Australian NZ horses finished 1st, 1st, 3rd and 2nd in the Japan Cup which is unachievable now and in Winx's years. In winning his Cox Plate, BLU defeated the reigning Japan Cup champion and world record holder, reigning BMW, Queen Elizabeth Stakes and Caulfield Cup champion and champions of the Vic Derby, Golden Slipper, Spring Champion Stakes and Canterbury Guineas... in record time and losing a shoe mid race. BLU's Cox Plate track record still holds and faster than any time Winx ran there despite 30 years advancement in training methods and sports science. In winning the Japan Cup, BLU defeated the premier horse of the UK and G1 winners in Ireland, England, USA, Germany, Italy, Canada, Australia and Japan. And that is despite being blocked from a run until the final 2 furlongs.

ディープインパクトもオルフェーヴルもアーモンドアイも、日本でいくら強くても世界的にはそもそも認知されてるかどうかもよく分かんなくて不満だったが(ディープは種牡馬成績で知れ渡ったけど) イクイノックスは結構世界的に認められていて嬉しい レートもちゃんと見合ったものをつけて欲しいな〜😒 仕組み上仕方ないがどう考えても129で終わる馬ではない...

ディープは凱旋門でのオッズを見る限り、認知されまくってたと思いますけどね。圧倒的一番人気だったわけですから。オルフェもスミヨンさんが「オルフェ最強！」と言い続けてるからその方面で有名かもw

You should know Equinox already has the highest rating and the Japan Cup will also be a world class race. Why don't other countries' horses challenge the Japan Cup?

Equinox went to Dubai and easily beat a world class international field that included Arc Runner Up that year and place getter in the Breeders Cup and former Dubai champion. How many Arc winners have won the Japan Cup? None.

Well, as a practical matter, compare the prize money for each. Not only those two races but even Breeders' Cup Classic is not "the best" compared to Japan Cup.

No foreign horse has won the Japan Cup for 17 years. Even Winx, the legendary Australian Champ who won 33 consecutive races including the Cox Plate a record 4 times and was therefore invited to run in the Japan Cup 4 times declined all of those invitations because her owners knew she couldn't win.
Truly a champion with his effortless style of running and just leaving the field as though standing what a champion
