A new franchise entry in the third Tomb Raider continuation from Crystal Dynamics & Square Enix was announced last week - Shadow of the Tomb Raider launches on September 14th, 2018. "Path of the Stars" is an online puzzle open to select territories - those who can solve the puzzle have the chance to win prizes including a trip for two to attend the Shadow of the Tomb Raider Reveal Event in Los Angeles.
The "Path of the Stars" happens to feature several musical segments presumably from the upcoming video game. The track is eight and a half minutes long and we're uploading it to our KZread peripheral for our readers to stream, but the file can be downloaded directly via the official Tomb Raider website.
Crystal Dynamics are yet to make an announcement naming the composer for Shadow of the Tomb Raider, but the track we're first hearing features the distinct thematic motif created for the rebooted franchise in 2013 by composer Jason Graves. Bobby Tahouri utilised the same theme in his score for 2015's Rise of the Tomb Raider and it's likely the composer could return to compose for Shadow.

This is a beautiful track. Captures the rhythm of the Mayans perfectly. By the way, the five dislikes must be Trinity again.

I like to..Tomb Raider... very best .....
I totally remembered the vibe of TR3, TRU and TRL with this soundtrack
I couldn’t stop listening to this lovely track piece while doing the puzzle. Looks like SOTTR will have a fantastic soundtrack.

This is way too amazing. This is the best OST in the TR-franchise, so far. This is different than the Soundtracks before, its.....darker.

No way. All TR games since 90s had great soundtracks. Rise and this one are not something special. Nice vibes, but that's all. Dark was the Angel of darkness.
this music is so amazing. I can't wait to play it I hope it plays part of the theme when you're playing. if so, it would be so hype

Lovely, much more substantial and promising than previous compositions.
I get vibes from the first tomb raider movie (the first one), underworld, TR3 & GoL. Hope the supernatural element is present in this game, totally has potential for some of that, also the jungle drums playing nostalgically brought back memories from those monkeys in the jungle from tr3. I can already picture some spike traps, skeletons, jungle foliage, rapids and some kayak, more guerrila combat like rise.. would be cool to see lara have some sort of herbology book which she could combine herbs to create healthpacks and poisons, learn some kind of lost ancient recipes like the codexs, from the tribesman shaman or something, tigers, crocodiles fit the game as expected to be included...
Beautiful way better than the reboot themes! Love how it has kind of a Legend Croft manor theme then sort of assassins creed. Amazing love this!!

Gamer _Croft rebbot themes were very great and kind of dramatic and inspiring but this is different, accorfing to the next lara destination, mayas stufff part of history, love mexico!!!

I hope the soundtrack for this game will be better than for Rise. I didn't like it at all. I missed the theme melody that appeared in almost every possible way in the soundtrack of 2013 to show the different emotions of Lara and the different situations she was in. I think Jason Graves did an awesome job, so I was really disappointed by Bob Tahouri's work cuz it was not as catchy as the soundtrack from 2013 where the spirit of the whole game and island was brilliantly caught. But this sounds very promising! Getting Underworld vibes too! I am so excited for the release!!

2:30 i like this part, this is the begining of the game when Lara climbed out of a little cave with the adventure's suit, she's hot so much.
Sounds a lot better than anything from the previous two games..Those games had pretty forgettable soundtracks compared to games like Anniversary and Underworld

I thought Break-in and The Cistern from Rise were better. In fact this sounds a lot like Break-In in parts. I think they adapted it for this game.

Zamal I have been to the Yucatan in Mexico the Mayan’s still live there (just a tad more civilized but not by much). I went down into a sacred cinotee water cave. A Mayan priest literally blessed me first as he said it was an entrance to the underworld...no joke.

Yeah there are some people that still live like that, I studied that in class of antropology at university. I don't know in Mexico, but I know that in Brasil and other parts of the world it's real. They are a bit more in contact with the modern world than we think though.
I don't know why, but this reminds me of Assassin's Creed Origins lmao

Audrey Burn die double Pistols werden nicht am Start sein, da nur die ältere Lara diese benutzt. Lara wird auch im kommenden Teil größtenteils mit dem Bogen unterwegs sein

Shadow will not feature dual pistols. However given the fans' feedback, we may get those pistols in future games

Now this is just my opinion, but the game may have some sort horrer element to it. Now it dose have a Mayan/Tribal theme or boost to it since the game is about Mayan stuff. P.S reminds me of Horizon Zero Dawn, Assassins Creed Orgins, and Uncharted 4 lol.
I really hope this game will be good. I hated the first one, enjoyed the second despite its crappy story, and I'm hoping third time's the charm.
