I'm prob one of the few dot/mana lover like yourself. It's why I always enjoy watching your vids. I am also trying to play off meta stuff every league. I enjoy building a toon for 1/3 of the price for similar power or capable of tackling any contents. Glad our mana archetype getting some love so it's cool if others get to see their beauty while we old timers can sit back and do other things lol😊

I did the dexterity start instead of the attack speed and life nodes at start, that extra dex helped with bows later and I rushed the bow wheel next to elemental equilibrium for the move speed bonus. I think leveling is comfy once you get first lab but until then its a bit of a struggle just caustic arrow and run past a lot of mobs you'll get the xp back later with split arrow.

Bleed bow was on all my previous leaguestarter lists and never made the cut. I think it's time. Thanks for the guide!

Thanks for the video! How good is this build at farming Breach and Expeditions?

I started my league start list with about 15 builds and narrowed it down to Bleed Bow and Vaal Ice Shot. I decided that Ice Shot was going to be my starter this league. It is something I have never played before but I have always wanted to. I am doing a test right now to see if it is good enough to get to maps and I plan on doing a few maps to see how it feels in a SSF test. I hope it works out. I know that Ice Shot normally goes into Dex Stacking and I plan on doing it but on the low end I shouldn't have any problems. My PoB with a 800 dps bow (self farming ESS so should be easy to craft myself) and only a few uniques (all normally under 30c after the first day) and I had around 3M dps. I feel like that should be good enough without having a lot into the build. I would guess the whole build will cost 100c in the first 3 days or so which is normally easy for me to get in that short of time. I guess we will see though. If I end up needing to reroll I will be doing Bleed bow. I just hope it doesn't come to that.

Nice to see the guide, gonna join BB train. Funny to see people say how bad it's going to be when it was tested and there aren't any items that may or not be hard to acquire early.

I played a Trickster variant last league that didn't need Snipe, Ensnaring Arrow or Split arrow. Just puncture for all bosses and mapping. That was smooth ❤

Played it last league, and bleedbow was underwhelming for me. I've had a lot of much better league starts. Arma brand recaller start is sooooo much better.

mbX, did you consider starting out as corrupting fever glad wander with KB and then transitioning into bleed bow ? Asking cause i'm interested in playing this and want to hear your take on it

@mbXtreme question as im unsure, why take maim with ensnaring arrow when you already get maim and the increased damage taken from it with ascendancy ? Or does it double dip or something?

hey mb. First thank you for the Video. I am so thinking about starting bleed bow or Ele dd in a ssf private league. I know dd is more comfy for ssf but bleed bow just pulls me in. One question do i have do you need maim in the manaforged arrow setup? cause of the Blood in the Eyes ascendancy we are already maiming against bleeding target. That would maybe open up 1 gem slot

I usually run the default neversink strict for the first couple days and then go to my personal mbXfilter which is more suited towards endgame.

Damn it, lol. I was wanting to start Bleed Bow this league, but now I don't think I will because it has been advertised by the best of the best now as a league starter lol.

You can put lifetap in the manaforge arrow for procing it always 😉

Hi mb, what do u think about using an Elegant Hubris with Cadiro for the Keystone "Supreme Ostentation"? Getting "Ignore Attribute Requirements" could be really helpful for gearing, or am i wrong?

Thats what i have in my Endgame setup aswell. But i don't wanna put a timeless Jewel into my League Starter PoB. Still tinkering with the real endgame version cause i wanna make it really tanky.

Bleed bow is still a great build. Its in the best spot its been in, maybe ever, with access to adorned and everything else. End game version can go Champion and be a mega tank with dot cap but you need expensive flame/flesh. I would play it again but I did last couple of leagues and want to try something else. nah it used to be so good before the harvest changes that took away with chance for bleed to do 100% more damage with bleeds. but its still pretty good. you just need snipe now which is a little more clunky than just puncture. i did bleed bow last league and it was awesome. doing it again this league too.

1 question, how does bleed works with proximity shields/expedition shielded mob? does it works like kb cf does (where the mobs are still damaged by the dot because of the explosion of kb)? or do you still have to enter the proximity shield in order to hit the monster thus proc the bleed?

I think you do, but to lazy right now to login and test that. as it won't change anything ^^ Proximity Shields are usually aids for 95% of poe builds ^^

DD is usually my go to when SSF, but i might try this build this league haven't played a bow build in ages. Wondering how expensive the end game bows are going to be to craft.=well we shall see the progress will be following you !

Phys bows are an absolute pain in the butt to craft, unless you have a good fracture. And even then, "cheap" or "accessible" are not words I'd use in that context. Although a vendor recipe t2 flat phys and crafted phys bow should tide you over alright into red maps at least.

I wanted to start this last league, but due to penance brand I decided against it. I really want to start this as well, but I'm concerned for endgame bosses like the uber versions of them. Would this be viable and easy to achieve without spending a shit load of currency? Lets say like 20-30 Div? How difficult is the bow to craft and is there a guide on one?

what about instead of using split arrow , using 2nd puncture with GMP? isnt that better for clear due more dmg? Edit :instead of Chain , Vicious proj , brutality , volatility + Split arrow +Cruelty using Chain , Vicious proj , brutality , volatility + Puncture+ GMP is more damage for clear in the quick PoB test. you loose a few arrows but with bleed explosions and chains it should still be ok for clear. this should also mean you can drop some bleed chance on passive tree and get 12% DoT multiplier for bleed on the Bloodletting cluster. Edit 2 : Could not test this since no gear in PoB but for higher / harder bosses you could drop herald of purtiy and flesh&stone for Pride.

Have never tried it but it looks very interesting :).

You're gonna need a 4-link for molten shell and enduring cry, or 2x 2links automate + molten shell and Call to arms + Enduring cry. Automate cannot cast war cries that's what call to arms gem is for.

Yep, already noticed. If we have the Gem slots for endgame we will do that (atleast early) and maybe ditch something after.

I PoB'd frenzy stacking Ralakesh version of this, it's really starved on passive points without Stranglegasp to grab the max charges and I really wanted to use Ashes. Every unique in that build works with Utula's so that's great. Could also use the blight gloves for anoint as they don't have any life, if they are cheap enough to spam corrupt for max frenzy. Overall I don't think going that route is worth it, as it reaches dot cap way before the character is min-maxed, where's the fun in that. Better go ham on a build that can scale to the moon and play this simply as a starter

it is, but that is high investment as you dont have access to alot of scaling options withotu investment like ralakesh and stuff. forbidden flame/flesh jewels, prolly maven belt ect. and ofcourse: crit chance.

I would like to know a little more about the initial stage of the game and what bundles of stones to use in 3-4 links. The bosses in this build are hit through Puncture?

Do you think it is possible to play poison herald of thunder as a league starter? Also BBG(bleed blow gladiator) is the build I ALWAYS associate with u as a creator haha nice to see you start with it instead of transition into it after another build

I was considering that too. Great Build and also capable of doing High End Content as an Autobomber.... but they nerfed the Stun Tech so idk how good the survivability is without.

Build looks cool. Is there a reason going RT instead of PT and investing a few points in accuracy?

Bleed damage is based off base damage, which is calculated before Precise Technique is applied so it doesnt do anything for that build. Adding 20% increased Attack Physical Damage does also not increase your Bleed dmg, it solely scales the ON HIT dmg of the arrow, not the resulting bleed.

what are the leveling skills? and do we play with bow from beginning on?

You can keep puncture with you from the get go for single target, so long as you utilize ensnaring arrow via totems (wouldn't recommend manaforged early because mana is an issue for a while). Start with split arrow, which does alright for act 1 in terms of clear, but go for rain of arrows act 2 until you get the bleed pops (your second ascendancy), at which point you should be able to comfortably switch back to split arrow. In summary: Yes, you start off with Bleed Bow pretty much from the moment you wash up on the shores.

i dont want to play DD but I wonder is there league starters to do simulacrum? I started doing it mid league and it was perfect for my playstyle

Corpsewalker + General Cry + Call to Arms + Flicker Strike/Shield Charge? Walking simulator, your mirage warrior summon + auto flick/charge whenever you moved.

General's Cry was nerfed though. -1 support gem. Probably won't matter, just something to keep in mind.

On the other hand: could you fit in the mana cost from cry with 200% and molten shell with 150%? Would be interested in fix! But seems like the EB guys, as always, have the advantage.. where EB Gem???

@@McGullip I wanna roll with 2-3x -7 Mana cost of skills on Rings/Amulet which should massively reduce the cost. If it feels shit, we ain't using it. Cant predict that yet, will figure out on the fly :)

was thinking going mana staker too, but yeah . im scared of items being out of my reach. altho it wouldnt need much to start farming something good. i think ill go LA deadeye just to zoom

I tested it but i can see the build being to squishy early with the league mechanic so no, no proper pobs untill i play the build some day in the league

I have watch the clips closely and notice that Puncture is used early then Snipe is used. Once Snipe is linked to Puncture, Puncture cannot be activated. Does Snipe take take on the Puncture characteristics?

Yes and no. Early on, you don't have Snipe (Requires Level 34). It will have the Snipe Characteristics in terms of Channeling Cost ect but the released arrow from Snipe will be a Puncture Projectile (with Snipe power), scaling damage the way Puncture does.

torn between bleed bow or rf chieftain, worried about scaling both of their dmg.

I was super hyped for bleed bow until I saw %30 movement speed nerf on ralakesh boots. Its kinda mandatory in late game for more juicy content with olesya delight combo. Also its important to fully utilize ascendancy with endurance charge so I assume it is gonna feel slow even with onslaught + challanger charges etc.

I honestly want a smooth league starter,i've always fancied bleed. My question is do i go spark or bleed bow these are 2 of my favourite builds i've already done spark league start it was awesome.

Yo mbX check out using lacerate of butchering on glad, requires 2h melee weapon, simular playstyle and clear to bleedbow but a bit more unique :)

I was thinking on going something melee this league but since bs is clunky, I'll go with gladiator bleed, thank you

Biggest disadvantage of bleed bow are the map mods you have to reroll. Really a lot of maps

I did some testing yesterday and honestly, with the more difficult campaign/maps with league mechanic, its hard to scale defences without investment on a mana stacker due to missing auras. Cloak of Flame ect. would be baseline to deal with phys and if you don't have that... it's gonna hurt. I'm gonna take the less risky approach.

I think so yes. Theres no crazy tech going on but its off-meta and theres stronger league starters.

life + resistance, but what about armor vs armor/evasion, spell suppression? where to get ailment immunity? Should we run delve for abyss jewel on boots? Do we need jewel with -50% shock & that jewel? etc...

What about rushing the brine king cannot be frozen? what about the minor? Should we start with amethyst flask (i never know when i am taking poison or ignite or bleed damage, so I dont even bother)

so i was theorycrafting and suddenly there came this idea in mind! its pretty wierd but i know you like wierd, right? Archmage Forbidden Rite Necro! Hear me out! As you are constantly hit yourself, so you can abuse Mana Recoup and cwdt setups. with these setups you can automate desecrate and bone offering, to always benefit from all the bonuses you get from creating and consuimng corpses, especially the mana reg from essence glutton. you can also automate curses and WoC with cwdt setups or anything what comes in mind. its definetly not a starter but maybe a 3rd or even a 2nd char? really would love to hear your thoughts about this abomination of a build or if its just another dream of my theorycrafting...! cheers my man!

My Snipe do 0 dmg? why? have same gems (6 link all the gems) and i do 0 dmg. I leveling atm but it seems not doing much dmg at all :(

Gladiator is the better ascendancy early on. It solves a lot of "no curency" problems like explosions, speed ect. Champion prolly takes over in endgame.
