Personally hope templar will be instantly at the ready in november. Probably the most beginner friendly class with both tanky melee, likely buff bonuses to you and/or party and the added magic casting is just one massive combo that leads to easy amounts of multiple paths for an exile to ascend into something more.

I really want to play Redacted, but I just hope that Redacted wont suffer from Redacted when Redacted is used during the Redacted phase.

I’m running a 2070s but still thinking about upgrading for poe2

They seem to have nerfed the damage dealt by bosses compared to the previous events. People were actually surviving the "guillotine drop" attack from the Executioner boss and the Iron Count is also dealing considerable less damage with his "slams".

When talking about the skill requirement for melee, i think what you mean is a skill floor, not a skill cap 6:45

I could be wrong, but I expect path of exile 2 and redacted (which I suspect is at least the witch, minions were mentioned in one of the Q&A's) to be shown at the Xbox Games showcase today. Then the NDA of the recent event will be lifted and we will start seeing the footage.

Classic GGG being afraid of actually letting their players play the game and not playing it themselves enough to understand that these "flavorful, thematic touches" are boring chores when you've played the game for about ten hours, let alone thousands.

I just stumbled on to your channel when looking up PoE2 stuff. Thank you for the info. I love PoE but that end game was rough and you would need a guide to be able to even attempt the end game. I felt good about my build until endgame atlas maps. Hopefully the end game will be better

Im gonna show my age, but this is Prime Nintendo 64 era. Couch co-op in most games. Goldeneye, Mario cart, Perfect Dark, and Fzero, to name a few

While I understand that there's a lot that folks weren't able to see in their time of play I think people want more than is feasible in an early access. Early access means that key game components are still being implemented. So it's reasonable to assume that things like ascendencies, mapping, and endgame won't be there on launch and that's fine. Personally I really wish companies would stop doing early access and just take however long they need to make a game and make it as polished as it can before release.

btw? i am curious about this. can you use spell or skills while blocking with a shield? like those warrior's charge up skills and spear stab?

That sounds like something that might be possible on a per-skill basis (It obviously wont work for skills that require a 2h weapon, though).

Given the absence of discussion of the Witch class, I expected this class to be good. Especially the Necromancer!

How will early access work? Will it be like a beta and that we have to be lucky and after wait for the real release? Or is it genuinely early access and will the game be released and worked on while live like other early access games?

Cant wait to try a minion or shapeshifting build, no builds to copy, just work to do!

That's probably the release window for the D4 expansion too, season 5 starts in August which means Season 6 starts in November, highly likely alongside the Vessel of Hatred expansion.

Yeah, the info about the Beta in November is already being discussed on Reddit and Discord. Either way, I'm excited that it's coming *soon. I'm looking forward to seeing the gameplay showcase of REDACTED. Hopefully, they'll do showcases for all the classes available in the BETA. If the buy-in for the beta is around the price of what D4 was, It will already be worth it.

They need tutorials for extra content. Like game pauses during the event for you to scroll and see what’s happening and tutorial windows pop up

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but isn't there a difference between a beta and early access? I've played games in early access, and they were available before official launch and you could play them up to the day of launch, and sometimes that was months. I ask because he said beta, yet you are focused on early access.

Note! You may be able to cast your computer screen to your TV via WiFi, negating the reason to get a HDMI cable, which could be expensive depending on the length you require.

I tried sharing my Monitor to my TV via Windows and had huge lags. With Steam you can basically start a Personal Cloud Gaming Session and Play on a laptop without having the Game installed and running on it. That worked great for me

Casting/streaming can be sufficiently high quality so long as your home network is good enough (which isn't hard if you've got cables run, especially if you're using 2.5G switching). The real problem with streaming is the latency, making precise inputs much harder to time correctly. IMO, the best way to play couch co-op is either a dedicated machine in the lounge room, or a setup that uses thunderbolt over fibre to extend your display output and peripheral input to the lounge room. Both of these are expensive options though, so it's probably worth finding a steam link or some other streaming method to see if this is adequate for your needs before investing in something better.

I think it's highly unlikely that GGG will do a large release ahead of Thanksgiving weekend. I know it's not their holiday, but Thanksgiving is too big of a holiday in one of their largest customer bases. Asking people to choose between family time and beta testing seems a bit too tall, I'd guess a week or two earlier, or the first week of December.

Usa is a pretty big chunk of their playerbase, but it's not the majority, and of that chunk, a lot of people won't really care because of a variety of reasons. Releasing it during a holiday is best.

The one issue I have with PoE is how complex the skill bush is. Can you explain how complex PoE 2 is compared to Poe if you know?

I am BIG hyped for this game. gonna have to buy a ultrawide for it. I was super excited for D4 but like many felt very let down by it. This is my last hope for a ARPG to get lost in.

Im not worried at all - development still continues in early acces and I wouldn’t mind 9-12 months early access to really get a nice 1.0 release. Releasing the full game and endgame skeleton for a Beta I sich a nice move as well - sure ppl will freak out if something is not balanced or broken and forget it’s early access but that’s just how ppl are these days

It's also because a lot of game companies have watered down what beta and early access actually is. Most people don't think of beta as an actual beta anymore because of stupid companies using beta as a term for a demo these days. Most games that have a beta today that lasts 1 or 2 weekends is not a beta. That is a demo of how the game will be on release usually. When POE 2 beta goes live, i hope they have Big letters saying that this is a beta and there will be major balance changes etc and wipes if needed.

i hope that poe 2 stuff doesn't end up substantially affecting the poe 1 schedule. they said before that they have completely separate teams and that poe 1 is going to continue being supported after the release of poe 2. if one game's release schedule pushes back or interrupts the other game's release schedule that will end up being frustrating for everyone who plays one of the two versions but not the other.

They can release a beta, then plan ahead to schedule an official release of PoE2 league outside the PoE1 schedule.

There is no doubt a 2070 can run poe2 at 1080p. Poe2 looks demanding because we got so used to poe1.

Its always November. Right before the holidays is the sweet spot for sales.

From what I've seen from your gameplay, the ranged /melee ratio usage will be the same as poe ☠️ it just feels better

I've now seen you and your wife do the Executioner fight, the Iron Count and the Candlemass. How would you rate the power level of your characters in each fight? It seems you two were quite strong against the Candlemass, just chunking away at him, whereas in the executioner you guys died a bunch and had to kinda struggle through it and in the Iron count it didn't seem like you had trouble but the damage you guys did seemed very low. I'm trying to gauge if we should get accustomed to the idea of bossfights taking a loooong time or if it's more of a case of "well, I'm sure the bosses will get absolutely steamrolled after the leveling meta develops"

Haha, that guy will probably get some heat for leaking that 😂 poor guy. As long as it's not during Christmas holidays, I'm fine with the release date. I don't want it to release when I'm away and busy with family.

We don't need POE2 to be a souls like game. Need to have it just be fun and engaging. Endgame should be competitive and tough though, I will admit that.

Do we have voicelines when someone on co-op dies? Some interaction similar to when a rare or unique is killed, but having it when a comrade is killed. Not saying your character should care about whoever is on your party, but some "acknowledgement" that someone on their side fell.

So there will no Healing/Healer class in POE 2? No Cleric/Priest? Never played POE 1 so I don't know about the classes in the game.

No, the game is mainly made for solo play, hell, most arpgs are like that. A healing/support class wouldn't work.

No theres no set skills anyway. The only thing classes do in PoE is set where you start on the passive tree and what ascendancy classes you get. A witch can play a 2handed axe build if you can find a reason to with its ascendancy classes.

There are buffs focused builds which can greatly increase regeneration and shielding which can be considered a healer of sorts, but it’s not active healing or anything like that

looks like D4 (i do like POE's version more) plays like D4 (the thing that i am worried about the most) forcing more skills to be used you now will need to cast 5-6 skills just imagine doing map girding sessions with not just clicks but full on MMO button smashing then still looting could just as well go play world of watercraft/FF14 instead. what i would like to see is what they are doing to builds like below before i jump on any hype train. Warloop/automation builds Perma minions builds (my most awaited for builds carrion golem's/zombies) RF builds / Death's Oath i know there is a smaller community of players that enjoys pressing less buttons but as someone that enjoys this play style and rather work harder on improving my gear till i can get to the walking sim version of the game i am wary of POE 2 for the time being.

im a bit worried they might not make it with all the testing they still need to do internally. it might very well be an issue of the First few acts and endgame being more polished than the mid of campaign just because there is so much to look out for, change and/or add to the fundamental experience. ive watched an interview from a few days ago where jonathan said they still need to do a lot of skill gem testing which sounds to me like a very fundamental thing. the game will be hella fun but might be strongly inbalanced in favor for the Player which might bring all sorts of issues when having to rebalance stuff down the line. i obviously dont really know what im talking about here but im just worried that the 5 months til Beta will not be enough, especially with the fact that jonathan wants to deliver a full experience on launch there to grant a great lasting first impression. now if it were a year+ of devtime with those tests and previews you guys are doing I wouldnt be as worried but 5 months really fly by if you are just busy with normal day to day life. regardless i wish them all the best and hopefully everything clicks in place. just right. im really excited for the ingame market system as well as the ingame tutorials you mentioned. many of my friends are looking at game and would wanna try it out and i would love them to keep me company ingame. so go go go best of luck ggg

There is only so much internal testing you can do with a tiny test team. You need thousands of players to really test and balance a game like this. That is why there will be a lot of updates etc during the 6 month beta (the beta will last longer if they need to) They will also do wipes during beta if they have to because of major balance changes. Its also the reason its a closed beta and not open beta.

I'm so excited to play PoE2. I haven't played it, but I already love the combat so much more. I like the slower more methodical combat. I HATE the fast paced PoE endgame right now, where you zoom through 1000 monsters a second and explosions of loot pinatas going off like a casino slot machine, or you die in half a second. I hate it. There's no soul. No struggle. Not even any skill rquired. You can't even tell what's going on.

Poe 2 is like putting a Brain to a Brain Less Poe 1 and am glad, i play poe 1 after work just because of being tired after work and want to burn the time before sleep. But sometimes i feel guilty as i play hns i zoom zoom that mobs , but at the end i don't reach much progress compared to others and to the stuff game offer.. or even feel like wasting time, as i still doing campaign in average 10hr but poe 1 destroy me to the level i have issues to focus on other games that not grindy/itemization there..

So now do I take 7 days off of work or 14 days off of work in November xD

You can get passive flask charge regen stat on potions. Also when you start to learn boss mechanics to dodge the hits you dont need to use flasks as much. If you don't get better against a boss every time you fight it then its a skill issue.

I never played much of poe 1 but I did play the crap out of D2/LE really excited to try and get hooked in the deep void of the poe universe I'm ready

Go and play Poe 1 so you have a basic understanding of what you're getting yourself into.

I'm a little bit bothered how slow opening portal is.

I haven't played it but I dont want a bunch of tutorials. Part of the fun for me is discovering the mechanics. I don't want a tooltip that pops up and says "did you know you can use the sorceress arc skill with the rangers lightning rods?" Think souls games. They just let you figure out the mechanics. You don't feel like your hand is being held. Is crafting really that hard to figure out? Is it more complicated than gathering materials and going to a vendor to craft? Maybe salvage some items?

Bro my god, this game is looking fking incredible at this point, remember me de playstyle like leage of legend, but probably will be better, is amazing. I rly hope poe2 add pvp content, (better than diablo4) 1 question, the loot is individual?
