Wow the strap completely changes the look of the watch

From Thierry Stern’s comments in the latest Patek magazine I assume the new calatravas will be similar to this. Steel case but with just the date . I think Patek want a younger clientele to buy calatravas. So like the discontinued 5296 but in steel. Which would be around the USD 15,000 mark.

Favorite watch face ever, for sure buying one when in Geneva.

Again Timm .kindly help understand why unidirectional rotor means high efficiency. I thought it would be 50% efficient as you only capture inertia one way!!

Really wished they colour matched the date wheel. Otherwise lovely. I do hope the rumours of the (now postponed) new Calatravas following this design direction turns out to be true.

Does the week calendar move relative to the month calendar? I think we all know that 365 days a year isn't divisible by 7 days a week, so how the weeks are divided by the months depend on the year, right?

The white gloves have been out for everything lately... not sure if its a corporate decision, Tim's decision, or only temporary because of Coronavirus.. but i hope its temporary.

The dial is way too busy. Just because it’s a Patek doesn’t make it automatically great. I own straps with white stitching. The problems is in no time the stitching becomes soiled and turns darker.

I know what you mean, but (like many Pateks) this is one that looks rather better if you see it with the naked eye rather than in photo or video. In the metal the blackened hour markers are slightly more dominant. (I got to see one at my AD a couple of weeks before Christmas.)

It’s not set up right as it can’t be Jan 3rd if we are in the third week of the year (should be the first week of the year o maybe even the last week of the previous year, but can’t be the third week of the year)

Nice watch for sure, but the dial is too busy for me and a sub 40 hour power reserve for a watch like this seems pretty low

It is automatic tho, right? So if this is your everyday watch the low power reserve shouldn‘t be a problem

Much better strap than original.

Stunning piece but would look so much better without the date window....and there’s really no need for it Anyway given the outer date track. Oris did it better :-p

Except the 'outer date track' is really for the weeks and not the date. lol
