Phases of patch installation
1. Prerequisite/conflict checks
2. Backup of files/libraries that would be affected/modified by patching
3. System Update
4. Relinking
5. Inventory Update
6. Verification Phase
Space Check:
$ORACLE_HOME/OPatch/opatch prereq CheckSystemSpace -phBaseDir Pathc_loc -oh $ORACLE_HOME
Conflicts Check:

You have to request the new patch with Oracle. They will take it to development team and release the new patch
How does we come to know that, database containing java components?

Confused betel spu and psu .. if spu applied on base version or top of psu then what is diff between spu and psu ? Both conditions are same
