Honestly would make Killer the true power role with some of these changes. I'd start leaving Survivor behind if I didn't have to worry about Bloodlust and had a firm grip on some good perks that aren't meta. The Killer role just hasn't been fun with all these BM'ing depip squads abusing broken chase mechanics lately.

I still have the game installed, the only times I get on is to input bloodpoint codes and dump points into killers I haven’t played in months and waiting/hoping that Behaviour would finally get their act together so I could play again. Seems that won’t happen for awhile.

I just spent the last 18 minutes thinking DbD was getting reborn into something actually very well thought out and well developed. I was literally extremely surprised and impressed with BHVR and was incredibly excited for what was to come...then the ending hit and i don't think my heart has ever sunk lower. Damn you Scott.

I swear to god I was thinking “It’s no way the devs actually did this this update has to be too good to be true with all these obviously needed changes it’s no way” turns out there actually is no way😔

If this video shows anything it is just how good Scott's acting skills are, I am a recent fan of only a few months, but having acted in many stage plays in the past I would not be surprised if he has similar experience. Either that or this was just the best take, either way, kudos to you Scott. Hopefully someone at BH actually starts to get the hint and attempts to implement at least some of these changes.

@@blancobronco7729 After 5 years of playing this game with multiple breaks, I was full of it when they broke the animations and HUD back in February. I keep it installed just in case someone asks me to play with them but the game just keeps getting worse. Game was way better back in the day, when it was niche and had personality. I haven't had fun in it since 2017 and I doubt I ever will again. I wish the projects that allow us to play older versions of the game become more popular and get more servers, as it's the only place to enjoy yourself anymore.

I've come to terms that you have to hate yourself or love pain to play this game.

From the subtle things like “I thought it was demon dash, is it demon rush?” And “thank god they removed this” to the full foreshadowing of “is this real what” after the removed perk tiers or “it’s like I made this”, the acting was incredible in this vid

Dude, I watched this video on the Xbox One. You can't see comments in there. I decided to stop the video a little bit before the end, because I already heard everything I needed to redownload the game after a Seven month hiatus. I redownloaded the game, my area's internet wasn't working well because of a car accident hitting the power source. But finally, a couple days later, the download was able to complete. I got in the game, and with this new update seemingly upcoming, I purchased 5 killers. Thinking now would be the perfect time, plus most were 50% off. The game froze on me. So I restarted it. Then, and only then, did I realize the patch number was something like 5.3. And it dawned on me, "What the hell? Would they really skip that many numbers?" So then I decided to look for other videos of the 7.0.0 patch, but there was no other videos except one in another language. So I returned to this video, this time on my laptop. And I was able to see the comments. Foolish of me, to trust someone I always had faith in. At first, because of the money used, I was really annoyed. But, I ended up giving up and just saying gg to the troll video. Edit: Yes, I deleted Dead by Daylight again, because it no longer had anything of interest to me.

When you look at the comments, you realize what this video really tells us is people would enjoy Dead by Daylight way more if the developers actually listened to them, switched some things up and were transparent about things. There's a lot of "I was gonna come back to the game" or "I have stopped playing as much and these changes made me want to play more". Great vid, Scott, it was super fun and well made; the sense of disappointment should always be redirected towards Behavior :')

The vast majority of 'old guard' players got into the game because they wanted Killer to be fun. The downward spiral has made it anything but, as Scott has said the last few patches. 'I don't want to sweat every match. I want the game to be fun and enjoyable to play.' I think the VAST majority of people in the playerbase agree.

"Self healing speeds have been capped - this is literally like I made this". Well played. You got me good.

I was already at the start going "Wait, didn't the latest patch start with a five?" Still, I'm going to comment on the ideas expressed. Instead of just outright REMOVING Bloodlust I could see them fiddling with the numbers a bit, both lowering the speed bonus and slash or upping the time in chase before it triggered and maybe only having it be one level instead of multiple ones. Survivor mains in bully squads would complain about the Killer getting bonus Bloodpoints. You should have said "Not a single person who matters would complain about that." I'd miss never being able to use Monitor & Abuse, Tiers 2 and 3 give me real bad motion sickness, but it'd be a small price to pay for not having to worry about getting most Perks to T3 for them to even be somewhat viable. That Predator change would actually be really good and might make the Perk worth running. But probably not because it is not a slow down Perk or a map wide information Perk. I've had _many_ Survivors continually try to blind me while I was running Lightborn. They just never seemed to get that it wasn't working. You need to wake up Scott. Please wake up.

I don't think making bloodlust take even longer to reach would be good. Bloodlust is still definietly necessary. As he said, removing bloodlust would only work if the maos are balanced enough, but right nowy killers still need a brute force method in some tiles. I agree that some perks like Monitor and Abuse need a bit of fixing because their higher tiers sometimes don't really matter, but the perks srill being bloodpoint sinks kinda shows me that the devs just want people to keep palying as long as possible before quitting. I dunno about stuff like the Predator change. I mean, many changes here are so painfully simple, yet the devs haven't done anything about it. I really doubt there will be changes that would require such drastic changes like seeing scratch marks through wallsy especially for aomething thatca just a perk. I love the idea, but wanna stay realistic. Same with Lightborn. While I agree it should be strong because it does a niche thing for taking up a full perk slot, but again, it would probably require coding that the devs just can't handle, at least right now. I just hope they get to fixing the game instead of just adding more stuff all the time.

Literally believed it for half a day... Went out, to tell me friends to come to the game because it would finally get fixed... Played one of the biggest sessions in months... Tried to find out planned release dates... My friends left the game again... Just too good to be true... But it was a pretty nice stunt; congrats from me.

I thought this was real until today when I came across a KZreadr I watch who reacted to the video and he mentioned that this would be too good to be true and it hit me that the ending of Scott waking up was just that: a dream I thought the ending was like "this is too good to be true, i must be dreaming" not that it was actually a dream The fact that I was got for 2 whole days is so funny to me.

I’m so glad to see Scott’s suggestion for Myers stalk speed to be increased the farther he is away being implemented.

So... I've been on retirement from Dead By Daylight since February 2021. I started playing back in 2017 and ended up with like somewhere between 3500 to 4000 hours of gameplay on it, I think? I was watching this video and was thinking to myself, "Wow, they finally did it. Behaviour is finally listening and genuinely trying to fix their game?! I might just come back to DBD after all and play again! =D" I was legitimately excited to return to the game and maybe have some fun with it again. ...and then the final 5 seconds of the video hit. This may have been the final nail on the coffin the make me realize that there is probably no going back to DBD for me. Sad, but I don't enjoy the direction the developers have taken and it seems like unless this dream were to actually come true, I won't be returning. Good video Scott, great prank. But I am now the sad xD

Holy shit this was so well made, especially with all of the small hints like the Oni add on, Demon Dash and Demon Rush, and the spelling errors. I even noticed how the Myers changes completely copied what you said in your Myers review, but I still believed hoping the devs could actually do something beneficial. You are evil, Scott.

Came here looking for the changes, and instead I'm left with a lesson to never expect any positive sweeping changes to this game. Four months later and this video is still destroying the hope of former DBD players. Genuinely impressed, well done.

Does anyone know if we will be getting Bloodpoint compensation since perk upgrades are going away?

They actually added in some changes like the boon change, scalped topknot change, legion change, etc.

When does this patch come out

I know I'm in the minority here but, I don't want them to shrink larger maps. It allows my matches to have a lot of variability. If every match I played against survivors was always on the map layout I want and everything played out the way I want it to play out, I would just quit the game eventually out of boredom. I do understand this entire video was a joke video but I still felt like I should deliver my take on it.

I can't believe you did that, everything was so well-done. It looked completely real and the only thing that bothered me was how good the changes are and how unlike BHVR it is to do this. As far as I'm concerned, BHVR now needs to actually implement this patch or it's VHS time.

I can only hope this blows up enough to encourage them to consider these changes, especially the easier ones such as "concede match" and bonus bloodpoints against premades
