I played this on PSP all the time. It’s brought back so many memories, thank you for posting this.

To those wondering, the blinking fram is the rythem of the earth, and yoy must time it perfectly to that rythem, it gives you one free mistake unless it is really bad, and the the next mistake within 3 commands with cancel fever

What is the frame windows for the rhythm? Sometimes it looks like this person nails the timing but it resets the fever mode

Maybe used Cancel Command? (Was always on in 1 and 2, but was an option in 3 you could have enabled or disabled.)

I can't nail fever mode but I'm playing on an emulator I think there is either a delay in input or some kind of problem with the game is running

They do make fairly noticeable mistakes, but Patapon 1's REALLY brutal about the timing it requires. I played the second game before trying the original, and the switch from patapon 2 to patapon 1 was incredibly jarring due to how unforgiving the first game is

If you have a fever combo of two and get a absolute perfect command rythem it instantly puts you in fever otherwise you must get 10 command in a row, you can tell if a command is perfect because it sounds deeper and different, pon with sound like you just taped your hand on a tabel, while a perfext pon sounds like you hit a wall with your fost that makes a deep sound, this is what it is like for all drums

I thought it was the Patapons starting the rythem/song. But then i realized that the game works on different command rythems that you start. "Pata pata pata pon" for move "Pon pon pata pon" for attack. So clever!

Go to the tree of life and press the action button to go to the patapon evolution and unlock the normal patapon and go to the pyopyo but you need to get the required items to get it

There's a reason as to why there's guidelines. It's a basic 4/4 rhythm you hear in most music, you can just follow it on your own usually. This game's soul is not dead, at least :3.
