While the #patagonia #R1 has remained relatively unchanged since its introduction over 20 years ago, there were some small changes made to the most recent version to help with weight savings and breathability. In this video I show you the difference between the last-gen #PatagoniaR1 pullover hoody, my favorite version of the product, and the newest iteration.

Thank you for this. I want an r1 Techface.. but it’s like $180. I have however found older r1 hoodless options used for $70.. these videos help thanks.

If you have time and are willing to search I have no doubt you can find an R1 Techface for under $100. If you want more info on the Techface specifically, check out my video on that one!
How can you tell the year of manufacture of the Patagonia piece? I’ve looked at my R1 tag and can’t find a date.

If you look at the tag there should be a Style Number which usually starts with STY and then is five numbers after that, followed by the season, then the year. My R1 tag says STY40074FA15, meaning it was manufactured in Fall 2015

No way anyone can see the details of the patterns, zippers etc that you point out from the 10 ft distance from the camera.

I’ll try and add in some close up shots in the future. That entire room isn’t even 10 feet long or wide but thanks for the critique!
You need to sit closer to the camera if you are going to be pointing out little details that none of your viewers can see.
