Pat McGrath Maison Margiela Glass Skin Doll MASTERCLASS

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Hi all,
Im a makeup artist so I had to attend Pat McGrath Maison Margiela Glass Skin Doll MASTERCLASS as it was an amazing opportunity to learn! I was amazed while watching the masterclass so I thought to upload the footage I took for my own notes as I know a lot of you may not have been able to attend the live masterclass and would still like to know how to achieve the glass skin doll look that Pat McGrath and her team have created.
Hope you enjoy!

Problem is she isn’t the first to do this as it’s been a thing in sfx make up for decades… yet a make up artist copies it and people lose their minds thinking it’s some brand new never done before thing… like where do you think she got the idea from.. especially as she is using skin illustrator products.

being 54 years old and having used and abused makeup thru the sublime eighties when everything was a GO and thru the sultry nineties and the beautiful matte goth smudge eyes looks i was a goth thru those 2 decades and a mix of lots of color too eighties were all about color, i couldnt find then a black lipstick so we used black eyliner with vaseline for shine was just wonderful times but now you guys younger generations have all kinds of makeup which I use it all as well, but matte i really can never go back i really dont like a shiny face with sweat etc... let alone this "porcelain" look BUT i guess many people love it and you did a great job indeed, not for me but its well done

Then the packaging would be smaller and easier to keep in your kit. Of course sometimes you need more or less but we all have calculators in our pockets these days. Maybe a little measuring cup lid or measure lines dont the side of the bottle?

Ne k needs to be a part of this picture too. Then if you wahr to dress her in a dolls gown..then the neck snd the chest are also a part of the whole.

Looks just like the porcelain dolls that are painted like this. They are not this glossy looking in real life..the dolls I mean. It is a bit too glossy..in my opinion. However just my opinion in the matter. There are people that create very lifelike porcelain dolls that are completely jointed and moveable in different positions. Their faces are beautifully painted by hand and each doll looks to have a different personality. Now THAT is creepy. Do a few google searches...seeing boxes of porcelain doll parts..And one guy does amazing clothes for these porcelain dolls. They are pricy but so incredibly beautiful!🌟

Does anyone know what glue or type of glue was used as the prep to the airbrush layers? I asked in the livestream but didn't get an answer. Thanks for recording it and sharing. Our Roman Empire 😂

Hours and hours go into this work of art, her face. Lots of prep.workmaround the eyes so that even the tiniest amount of alcohol would cause the eye makd up to run.. I was wondering how they eould tackle that. I'm almost tempted to say Thanks for Sharing!!
