love both looks - you’re really good at putting which colors where, and i appreciate how you show a variety of looks - from super glam to more everyday and natural. i like how you show how you can stop at two colors, then add more for a different look. i also appreciate how you talk about which brushes to use because the tools used do make a difference. congratulations on the 8000 milestone!

Sofia, your reviews are so in-depth, you are my favorite and my go to beauty person. I agree, I have so much makeup already and when I saw these I thought I already have the colors in other Pat McGrath, Natasha Denona, Charlotte Tilbury and Dior palettes. Both looks look beautiful on you. I really love that you keep your looks so wearable versus other beauty KZreadrs who put dark colors all over the lids and the looks are so over the top and only evening appropriate to me. I'm drawn to the bronze palette more than the pink one, but I love the looks you got with both. As for "mature" eyes and foiled shadows, it pays to have an eye treatment/cream that can be used both under-eye and on the lids. Acyl Glutathione by Perricone MD is the best I've ever found. Although I wish either Good Molecules or The Ordinary would produce an Acyl Glutathione serum. That ingredient is the Holy Grail for wrinkles and flakes on lids over 40. Being about 8,000 years old myself, I know this. And I can wear all lf the foily eyeshadows I want. Thanks for the review!💚

Thanks for sharing this! I will give it a try. I don’t have bad eyelids, I’ve been using Chanel’s Sublimage eye cream but I’m always looking for an alternative that is less expensive.

@@CharlisDailyDiary Don't know about less expensive. But Perricone is always science based, without added fragrance. The Acyl Glutathione and Cold Plasma products have been game changers for me. If my skin gets crepey or crinkly, they give me results in just a few days. I've used both lines layered too. They have a couple of 25% off sales on their website each year, and special prices on bundles. Even my dermatologist says she can't sell me anything that gives better results.

@@SofiaSeesBeauty I tried to talk myself out of purchasing them by speculating that the "new" formula maybe just be new to the quints but a formula already known in the PMG brand but from the reviews I have seen, it seems it is truly new to the PMG brand. Looking forward to trying it. I think I would be interesting. I may do a video while using for the first time....Raw reaction 😁

If I had nothing from PM I would be in heaven! I would snatch up everything but the mascaras. But yeah, even with the new formula I’m not tempted, I have these shades in spades. Always fun to window shop with you, and enjoy these products vicariously! I just got my first weasel hair eye brush, and OH my, it’s coaxes the shine from even satin shades with ease.

I honestly liked you in both palettes, though neither seemed particularly special. I have the pat mcgrath holiday palette from last year, so I think I will skip these. I did get the Dior millefiori eye shadow and lipstick, with pretty case topper too. I love this palette, but yes like pillow talk, which I love too. Thanks again for the details

Totally agree I don’t want my only matte to be a black. I have a million browns to draw from but I’d still prefer that. I also don’t understand the “new formula” argument. Who cares about different finishes if it looks the same on the eye?

Bronze bliss should have been called Silver Bliss! Look at that silver ❤🎉 For me the black in the Bronze bliss palette is definitely a liner shade and not a crease shade, so I think I can get more of a wearable look for the day

Thank you for your honesty and showing the swatches in natural light - and thanks for telling us we may not need it. :) O/T, I've heard you mention Colourpop at times, and I wonder if you have a decent collection of their palettes. I know you cover luxury beauty, but if you ever feel like it, I'd love to see comparisons to CP. I have way too many CP and luxury palettes, and I'm sure I have several dupes, lol!

I think if you have that palettes it’s probably not worth it unless you were hoping for something a little more pink and purple leaning as opposed to a pinky nude

I really like the look you did with Bronze Bliss. I think those palettes are for the unexperience user. I often see people complain about her matte being too pigmented and her black too black, so I think she delivered something for those people. I may pick bronze bliss up with a sale. I am not gonna pick the Mega palette up, and I would like to have something from the collection.

I’m supposed to be receiving these two palettes today but after your review and many other reviews I’m thinking of returning them since I have these color stories over and over lol. I’m on the fence. Especially since I’m steering away from excessive purchases and more drawn to quads that are neutral to cool. Or something exceptional like Tom Fords Violet Satine creme formula. It’s funny how taste change and I don’t pick up a lot of the shadows I have that are in big palettes. I got sucked up in the hype of newness Pat McGrath was releasing for the holidays and thought these quints would be something revolutionary. But they seem just okay. And I’m tired of spending my money on just okay. Thank you for your honesty as always in your review 💕💕

Personally don’t agree that Nude Allure is similar to anything Patrick Ta but those palettes pull completely orange on me. I didn’t see any rose in the PT rose palette 😂😂😂. I think it depends on your undertone, because the reviews showed pink on most people but for me, it was 50 shades of orange.

I am new to makeup. Is this one of the most popular makeup brands? Like top 5 or top 3? Anyway, every time I see the palettes, the eyeshadows are unbearably boring. Maybe it's bc I like editorial makeup & color, but yeah, that stuff just looks like a snooze.

Nope. This is a luxury-is brand with a cult following. I highly doubt it's top 5 or 3 but it's one of my favorites. I bought the bronze bliss from Marshall’s for $15. Wore it once. Unfortunately it’s so screams that it really creases after 1-2 hrs. I only regret buying bc as pretty as it translates on the eyes w the shine; it’s not products that kind of hv already / evry brand has these. Revlon wudv been gr8

What is interesting is that a lot of people say they don't really consider pat McGrath to be luxury. I think her motherships are, but these holiday collections (like with most brands) are cheapened to be accessible for a wider audience.
