Yes, joke. Michigan was under the most watchful eye in CFB history and beat MSU, Penn St, Iowa, OSU, Bama, and Washington. There’s nothing you can say anymore. All of those team had their chance to attempt to prove any semblance of there being an advantage and they all got smacked. You can cry all you want - we all saw what happened.

Pat, thanks so much for the kind words in defense of the program. There are a lot of haters out there who think Michigan didn’t deserve to win, or it’ll get vacated or given an asterisk by the NCAA. Whatever happens, it’s good to know that the people who really understand, live and breathe college football know that Michigan WAS deserving, had the best team, and gave our University and alumni something to be proud of. No one can take that away.

I think they are the only championship defense to not allow more than 25 points to an opponent all season. And holding Washington to 13? Washington had 13 possessions...and could only get a touchdown and 2 field goals. Defense can still win championships!

When their players came over to Michigan and congratulated them and told them to win this all you deserve it! That was absolute golden standard in good sportsmanship and the game against Alabama was more of a NATIONAL championship game then the one against Washington Rose bowl 🌹 for me was Michigan's national championship

Congrats to Michigan. That 1st quarter killed UW, but then they clamped down. Michigan's defense was just too good. I actually stood in awe after each Michigan score and just watched their fans go insane. Sadly, it was 70/30 Michigan and a lot of UW ticket holders sold theirs 😢

Jim finally had a complete team made in his image. Hardly any 5-stars..but fiercely competitive. The trenches is where you build success. NFL-style defense. Portal has spread out the talent pool..so that's refreshing. We'll enjoy this immensely..cuz most likely Jim is going back to the NFL. He accomplished his goal here.

I watched a lot of Michigan and the biggest thing I saw was the physicality of the defense and offensive line. They hit hard on tackles and would not be pushed around!

Michigan’s D just smashed you. They hit HARD. Washington’s receivers heads were on a swivel even before they secured the ball worrying about the hit. Pennix’s ribs were obliterated. He had to get rid of the ball so quickly all the time else he got destroyed. Routes didn’t get time to develop. He rarely had time to throw the ball more than 10 yards. Due to getting hit or avoiding hits, he was kinda shot-putting the ball half the time … leading to soft pop-up throws. That dude could barely walk back to his locker after the game. And on offense, they bullied Washington too. They just hit and hit … running the ball for more yards than Washington had TOTAL offensive yards. Washington was just battered on both sides of the ball. Just outmatched physically.

I am so happy, so happy this Big Ten Michigan team won, in effect also dropping a huge load of stool on ESPN and the NCAA and their arrogant and ignorant biases. THIS would happen more (northern teams winning) and more if every major bowl was held in absolute NEUTRAL regions or zones. The Big Ten, and other northern states teams, would win more bowls if the NCAA weren't so 'traditional' (bias and arrogant) having southern teams nearly always playing in state or a neighboring state. It would likely take a couple of years to get use to the proper change, but win more bowls northern state teams would do. This is still college sports, and until the players leave college, they are students and need to be taught about Fairness, Justice and Equality: bowls NEED to be played in obviously Neutral grounds. Due to the NCAA's "tradition," we have mostly southern states winning the major bowls. Most people disagree, but their comments are typically brainless. Any of you who agree, YOU have the ability to Tweet, Facebook, Instagram, Etc., at the NCAA, and if you are college students you can access more to contact your school's dean, coach, and president and insist to of them to reach out to the NCAA and demand change for a better balance in the way bowls are held.

This game was a perfect example of why USC, UCLA, Oregon, Washinton are going to struggle in the Big 10. It's not about one game, it's about the course of the season. Penix took a beating like he never did in the PAC 12. He would not have survived a season playing Penn st, OSU, Michigan, Iowa etc.

Watching UM Football since about 90- 91. I was 13. Alot of memories through the decades watching with family, friends. I can remember what I was doing where I was for alot of big games I saw or missed. Man. Feels like that great 97 team was a lifetime ago. This feels different. Alot more history of emotions leading up to this one. Down years. Upsets. Almosts. Maybe next years. For yearssss. I'm so goddamn proud of this team 144. Proud to be a fan. My team did it!! Go Blue I’m so happy that we won the national championship but I’m still a little nervous about the outcome of the NCAA investigation but I’m not letting that ruin this season for me and I’m sure most of Michigan fans feel the same as me Go Blue!!!!!

NCAA ran out Pete Carol, Nick Saban, and is trying to run out Harbaugh.

They had a champs attitude and composure. Michigan has had many great teams, but i dont remember one like this= one that you never felt they were down and out. In the most difficult games they stepped up and did what they had to do to win.

Really lol Washington defense held corum to 4 yards in 2nd and 3rd quarter lmao. Worst defense In ncaa. Made Mccarthy go 7 and out. 😂😂 Refs carried michigan by smashing any forward progress Washington got. Every big play they had a penalty. 😂😂 I think Washington quit caring whether they won or loss since they were given penalties on any forward progress.

​@@dakodagayne9334 You didn't watch the game then? Washington committed 4 pre snap penalties on offense, and they were all clear as day false starts, it's not like the refs made that up. Other than that they got called for one holding penalty. That's it, 5 total penalties called against them. What you're saying couldn't be further from the truth.

I am so happy, so happy this Big Ten Michigan team won, in effect also dropping a huge load of stool on ESPN and the NCAA and their arrogant and ignorant biases. THIS would happen more (northern teams winning) and more if every major bowl was held in absolute NEUTRAL regions or zones. The Big Ten, and other northern states teams, would win more bowls if the NCAA weren't so 'traditional' (bias and arrogant) having southern teams nearly always playing in state or a neighboring state. It would likely take a couple of years to get use to the proper change, but win more bowls northern state teams would do. This is still college sports, and until the players leave college, they are students and need to be taught about Fairness, Justice and Equality: bowls NEED to be played in obviously Neutral grounds. Due to the NCAA's "tradition," we have mostly southern states winning the major bowls. Most people disagree, but their comments are typically brainless. Any of you who agree, YOU have the ability to Tweet, Facebook, Instagram, Etc., at the NCAA, and if you are college students you can access more to contact your school's dean, coach, and president and insist to of them to reach out to the NCAA and demand change for a better balance in the way bowls are held.

To be fair, the rose bowl was in California and the championship was in Houston. Michigan did sorta get lucky with neutral fields.

Yes Donovan Edwards #7 was impressive with those two touchdown runs but if you look back to the Ohio State vs Michigan game of 2022, he did the same two breakthru runs for touchdowns of 80+ yards. He should be snatched up immediately to a NFL team..

Washington had 13 points on 13 drives. Michigan led at halftime in every game this season. Michigan is the first team since 1902 to hold 15 different teams to under 25 points. We outpaced every offense we played except Ohio State’s, and even then they only beat us out in yards on their final drive that ended in an INT. Go blue.

Michigan is running a NFL defense...its exactly the same defense that Baltimore runs. These other schools havent faced a defense this complex and this smart and sound.

Pat and crew is so good for college football on ESPN. Seems to me that almost every other outlet in ESPN covers college ball so negatively compared to these guys.

My local radio station are such homers for MSU and I know it burns them alive knowing they will never seat Michigan state do this. No matter what they do their team will never go 15-0 and win a natty, they discredit it so much. One talking about Washington is going to destroy Michigan because he stays up and watches west coast football. They are also those msu people that don’t care if they suck and it’s just what ever so they always have a way out of everything. One foot out the door just in case they lose or win.
