The uk added violins thinking it would be better for the white audience 🤣. I like either tbh it's just the way they got added.

The original 45 mix of this on Gas had strings. This is the mix used by Trojan.

I miss the strings too. Back then, a ton of output included strings for the English/European markets, for potential crossover appeal.

I don’t think Trojan ever licensed this. It came from Unity Records in Jamaica.

@@WedgePee Trojan might not have released this on 45, but they have issued it on many of their compilation cd's - without strings. Pama always issued it with strings.
