Here’s why PatBev’s full of it: If any fan had uttered an actual over-the-line insult that was in anyway racist - as PatBev implies - the other members of the Bucks bench and or members of the crowd who were in close proximity - many of whom were people of color - would have been reacting to that. The video speaks for itself. Everyone - the other Bucks players and the fans unfortunate enough to be near this - were shocked by PatBev’s antics and not one single person has confirmed one iota of PatBev’s narrative. It still wouldn’t give him the right to throw a ball at fans but dude…

As much as I want to give Bev the benefit of the doubt, I find it very hard to believe that in 2024, somebody publicly and outwardly yelled, at a nationally televised NBA playoff game, something so egregious that A) he never heart it before, B), as expected, choose to not repeat it and claim that regardless of its severity and intent, it doesn't justify his actions (which I think he would look for ways to absolve himself almost instinctively...) and C) not one person, fan, player or member of the team staff were privy to it and came out to the media to either defend him or corroborate his explanation....I will state though that, outside of some deferral and what I think personally think to be a modification of the truth, he did accept the backlash and league punishment with class and grace, never veering off the claim that his actions, both on court in the ball throwing and post-game in the locker room with the female reporter....even when Rone, as boy a solid pod teammate and friend, tried give him outs on members of the media or past players publicly and verbally scold his behaviour and he didn't take thee bait,...he's not an idiot...he wouldn't dare even hint at any possibility this his actions will have a directly negate impact on his NBA.... We all know that's the first thing running through his mind...and Rone, as well.....friends yes, but a pod contributes significantly to the livelihood of many individuals, majority of them working behind the scenes to make the magic happen...and while not everyone is Mr. Beast or Logan Paul, having the support of media giants such as Barstool never hurts....it can, but let's assume that it remains to be the engine running this whip....I am a Nick Wright fan, and sure he may have overreacted a bit (not sure if there is something else we don't know that feels this narrative, which is possible as we know certain players and media guys don't get along....especially non-players, as they already come into the fight at a major disadvantage, knowing that every argument or public opinion that is shared, regardless of their experience working with the league, are always going up against the ultimate trump card in terms of rebuttal --- "well, what the F do you know you never played a game of basketball in your life..."...unless, you aren't a former player because you were a bit busy running an empire....one that conveniently includes an NBA franchise as part its portfolio....and you play for said team in which said owner signs your paycheques.... then, and only then, you lose...Different strokes for different folks....bot just ing the NBA, everywhere.... many of us deal with it in our own carers, hence, why we often hear of the colloquial term known as "office politics...."...or not (taking a dump) where you eat.... so, homa just like Dray should find a home and Jamal Murray (fellow Canadian, however, I still dislike him for the two clutch closers against thee King), can throw a heat pad on the court and put a ton of people in danger.... but, those are the defending NBA champs, at t he risk of going down in an insurmountable way to fun, young Thunder....maybe even getting swept....Oklahoma isn't LA....so he will be there for the next game as if it never happened, so, as unacceptable as it may seem, some good ammo for Bev in his pursuit for an NBA contract next year... It is giving me the Draymond effect, however, as both a fan and a realist, we know we aren't comparing apples to apples,\and, thus, cannot expect a similar series of events to follow in the aftermath, Basically, Dray has a laundry lists of outbursts and F-up, many that he has been unapologetic for....however, when you're the "Heart and soul" of an NBA dynasty, recognized by both teammates, coaching staff, execs a bd fans as both a key cog and part of a small group (or BIG three, along with Steph/Klay at the core of team), winning 4 NBA championships in the span of 8 years (2014-2022), with an infamous KD sighting and in the midst of the unprecedented prime of the greatest basketball player in history (not arguably, he is, with all due respect), LBJ, who, for the record, won 4 titles of his own, with 3 different teams, including 10 finals appearances (8 straight at one point).... yeah , a bit different....oh, and he is also always been a Warrior, is signed to Bron's agent, Mav, with other ties in business opps and off the court ventures....whereas Bev, a warrior in spirit, generally respected by his peers (guy you hate to play but love to play with), and not to mention a very short stint with LA (sot of what brought me here, as growing up a Raptors fan, I am now all LBJ focused after we got our chip from those Warriors, btw), has a bit more of an underdog story that is well documented..... at only 35 now, he started out in Europe, which lasted about 5 years (reason why he has a close relationship and then, Daryl Morey....and Doc...but their are no friends in the NBA...it's a business at the end of the day, and Pat of all people, know that first hand), as many players do, following a respectable college career in Arkansas and ironically being picked in '09 by the same Bucks, and almost a dozen year NBA career, starting with promise with 4 years with the Rockets that helped catapult a decent role and niche for him....but now on team 7...it's just say his bargaining power isn't at the top iff its game, as I am sure he welcomes any NBA contract that allows hum to make an impact... he's made about $80 million just from the league, folks....homie will be OK... Al I'm saying with this long-winded rant, other than professing my support for this dude as a fan of him both off and on the court (even though he never played for my local team, and did pester us as he is known to), is that I really hope the league, team owners/execs/coaching staff specifically, give him another chance to play in the league and prove that this was more than just a PR move... considering even this late in his career, he was playing some of his best basketball and, truthfully, if Freak wasn't in injured, I truly felt that they had the East, and now looking at the "new" West, which is proving to be the preemptive strike from the young teams that most of us, including myself, thought they were X amount of years away from being X amount of years away.... they here now, and the golden era has been put on notice,...Bucks had a very good chance of winning it all...allowing Bev to continue his solid play and likely brush this incident a bit more under the rug than it is right now....either way #SubscribetothePod. Also, Rone...,you definitely seem like quite the cultured man...just throwing it out there, but why not brush up on your Mandarin or Cantonese during the off-season.....who knows, you might be filming in China next year... #DrusViewz

It’s interesting how he says he was called a “new name” that he’s never been called before. I wouldn’t be surprised if he thought the fan said “coon” and when he found out that the fan said “Cancun”, instead of saying my bad I thought the fan said something else he’s trying to save face by saying he won’t say what was said etc. IF that’s the case he’s better off just saying my bad I thought the fan said something else and just own it. Not saying that this is what happened but it wouldn’t be surprising.

good. F Pat Bev. When he was abusing CP3 all series long and CP3 took it on the chin and then closing seconds of the final game said a few words to Pat while staring him in the eyes, then Pat B waits until he’s turned around and shoves him in the back hard. Probably the most cowardly act I’ve seen an NBA player make. I still don’t like CP3 but it made me realize who Pat Bev is. A coward

You look at who has these podcasts, it's usually those chippy dawgs that need to say something, they feel wronged all the time so they need to vent. The podcast is a good therapy tool, but you have Arenas, Draymond, this guy. They are all ill adjusted so they do this, and then when they show their attitude on the court or in life, people pretend they didn't know. You knew. If you unsubbed because Pat did this, you're either ignorant or weren't interested in the 1st place and just looked for a reason to unsub.
