    Nope, Naomi Sims and Donyale Luna preceeded her, Pat Cleveland. So did Addy Fidelin in the 1930s, first black model featured in Harper's Bazaar - muse to Picasso and Man Ray.

    ​@@anonymousgirl799You're right. Pat is great and as someone old enough to have lived through the 70's, Naomi Sims and Donyale Luna were the first. However, all these various media have called Beverly Johnson and Iman the first black supermodel. Beverly esp because of her being the first black model on the cover of American Vogue, not to mention her representing Max Factor cosmetics (along with Cristina Ferarre) back in the 70's.
