I’ve been struggling with anxiety for the past few months. I experienced a panic attack in August. Pete, your videos give me a sense of peace. Thank you. Also, I’ve been cycling on country roads more often here in Wisconsin and have made it a point to stop and watch the cattle and horses for therapy. 🙂

@@marinagallant1847 thank you! I’m doing much better 😁
Pete, You're daily efforts to make "buddies" with Rusty are like meditation for me. I have really liked the quiet time. Thanks...

Yeah it's ASMR for me, I wish I could have the smells of the farm as well.
“he’s trying to figure out if he should finish his mouth full before he licks his leg or after“ lol So cute. Also love how you are so kind to the animals.
I agree! Do what makes you happy 😁. I actually like these videos! Nothing more peaceful than hanging out with furry friends in the field. 😁
This is why I watch your channel. You show things from your perspective and yet if you come upon a problem you’re will listen to other points of view. You also highlight one thing that is very lacking in modern society - patience. Due to a number of issues (Covid, Social Media, etc) I find modern society is a lot less patient than it used to be. Watching you with Rusty helps me relax and takes away a huge amount of stress. Keep the vids coming

It’s funny how some take there time to get used to you and others find you quite interesting so they investigate sometimes you can pretend to pull weeds or look like your busy they get interested in what you are doing be patient they will come up to you when you least expect it
I love these videos I love watching the cows grazing... I could watch all day.. Thank you for doing them
Pete, I think the topic of your videos are letting us learn from a video distance who Pete really is. I would suggest you never change who you are for the majority of viewers. You are living an amazing life! Thanks for sharing Darrel
Good day Pete, I have been watching your videos for 4 or 5 months now and I love when you hang out with the animals. It's as relaxing for me as it is for you. The elusive Rusty will probably be your best friend soon enough. Keep up the good work.
Up close and personal with the animals is priceless! I'll watch these videos non-stop!
Great video series Pete! Continue to be you and show what you want. One of the best of KZread!
Pete, my favorite therapeutic past time is driving all of the country roads in northern Alabama and southern Tennessee. I love the bright blue sky with the fluffy white cumulus clouds and the gloriously green countryside. It makes my spirit soar. That Is my Heaven. ❤️ ⛅️ ☀️
Patience is a virtue and you are showing a hard process. I love it because it is a hard personality trait to keep in the age of immediate satisfaction of knowledge. Stay Safe and dry.
The people not enjoying these videos are the very ones that haven't found any type of inner peace and balance. So many don't understand that clearing ones mind and just being are the keys to finding that peace. Those of us that can and do connect and appreciate nature will continue to do so. While enjoying your own choice to share your spot at finding that peaceful balance again🥰🐂
We all need to enjoy our peace when you can. I enjoy sharing in your mostly peaceful times.😄
The best therapy in the world, hanging out in the pasture with your cows. I always enjoy your videos!
Pete, I am casting my vote in favor of pasture therapy videography and eagerly await the anticipated golden moment with Rusty
Thank you for sharing your pasture therapy with us. We really do appreciate it. Personally, I think these are some of your finest videos. I know my blood pressure is down after watching. Thank you, Pete.
I watch many channels and they have expressed the same issue, trying to stay true to themselves. They have succeeded (just like you) because they stayed authentic. That's what we are viewing these videos. I believe viewers appreciate you all being authentic. That's why we're here! Please stay true to yourself!!!
I love the way the young animals look around at each other and sniff the air, trying to decide their next move when you are near.
One of the things I enjoy most about your videos is how you talk to your animals, both as a group and individuals. Yes these creatures will eventually end up on someone’s plate but that doesn’t mean they don’t deserve to be treated as our fellow inhabitants of earth in the meantime. Thank you Pete for doing the job so many of us are unable to do.
The pasture videos are great. It's very Therapeutic and Soothing to watch. Post more of them!
Thre reason I started watching your channel was because of how friendly and kind you seemed, and its why I continue to watch. Your channel gives me hope that the entire world hasn't gone mad. I say stay weird, and true to yourself. We all like it.
Thanks for reminding me of the good memories of playing with the calves while my dad milked the cows. I remember sitting and waiting for a yoing calf to approach me so I could tame it. Good memories.
I've been on the edge of my seat, waiting to see when the little one is going to get over his shyness and finally come up to you. I remember back in the day, my grandpa would give salt to his cattle. He would walk out into the pasture where they were with an old bread bag with about three pounds of course Ohio River brand salt and scatter it out on flat rocks in the field for them. It seems like when they say him, they would stampede from wherever they were in the field to him and as they got within 15 feet or so of him they'd slam on their brakes and skid to a halt in front of him. Some were shy and wouldn't let him pet or stroke them and others couldn't get enough attention from him.
Totally enjoy the cows!! Listening to them munch grass is so relaxing 😌
I agree with you showing what you feel is important. The number one problem in our society, is one puts priority on profit with no concern about future out come or quality of product. I hope to see a return to value. It's what made America strong.
I love pasture therapy. The cattle are so peaceful...it's wonderful that you can just sit there and they come up to you for scratches. Rusty will too ..in time.
Stick with it Pete, we're lovin it. Reminds me of our cows 40 odd years ago. I still reckon some of the best friends we ever had were cows. 🙂👍
Pete, I appreciate the passion you have for your livestock. You have a understanding of your surroundings which I believe your 2 and 4 legged friends gravitate towards. I live amongst a lot of farms that surround me everywhere I look. No one has a commitment to their livestock like you do. Well done sir. I truly appreciate your videos, keep them coming.i appreciate your wisdom and common sense to life. Thanks for all the content you provide to all of us.
Unwinding by watching Pete unwind by conversing and grazing with his herd. Thumbs up.
The slowdown after a busy summer is so important. Thank you for showing us the importance of just doing what you do. No clickbait needed. I enjoy all your videos.
Keep doing what you’re doing Pete. My family and I watch every video and always say “we love you Pete” at the end.
Can’t thank you enough for what you do for me and my family!!! Never underestimate the positive, lasting impact you make on me and the rest of your viewers! We so appreciate you!!!! By the way, I suggested Rusty as that was my Nick name growing up!!! I have parents that had allot of the same love and understanding that you have and show to all those you are around, including your animals!!! Don’t ever change!!!! Russ
Hi Pete, I liked the sound of the wind, it made me feel more in the field with you 😊
I freaking love ur attitude towards you making videos I for one enjoy it. It's a real version of what farming is. Keep em coming
Frankly I find these "pasture therapy" videos very relaxing ... much better than all of those contrived scenes in so many videos these days. I'm just unsubscribing to the channels that rely on click-bait to draw views. None deliver the drama their titles and image purport them to be, and besides ... who needs all that drama spoon fed to them?
I for one watch all your videos no matter what topic it's about. I especially like these videos where I really feel like I'm out on the pasture with you, hear just the wind and get to watch these large, yet gentle animals.
Pete thank you for being who you are. I am an 80 year old Grandmother and would give all I have to be on a farm like yours. I was born in Oakland California and loved my summers with my cousins in Sebastopol California with sheep and chickens. Love that you and your family are able to live your dream.💖🐄🐓🐖🦃🐈
"You kiss me, then you drive me nuts!" Couldn't have summarized my last 3 marriages any better...

Preachin to the choir!
Nice and relaxing, great to see you taking time to spend with your cattle.
Just keep doing what you feel is right! I love your honesty and insight.
Doc makes me laugh. He is so sociable!
You do you! I think this might have been a good down time for you...relaxing from the busy summer and restoring your happy place before winter throws you it’s new set of challenges. A recharging of the soul, so to speak. I have found it very relaxing and I agree with you..do what YOU want to do and be happy. 🥰❤️
It’s very important! And yes, show what you’ve always shown. That’s why it’s nearly 200K strong. Thank you.
My wife and I have been watching you for a month now we Binge watched the older videos and have notifications turned on when you post a new one.. our 5 year old son loves watching you as well he learns something everyday and tell us he is going to be a farmer just like you. Thank you for explaining and taking time out to show people that you love all animals and that some things just take time, he also laughs at all your jokes. You have a great channel on here and it get better with every video you post it's nice watching someone who explains the cost of a farm the hard work and time and shows that there are mistakes on a farm and not everything is perfect like some people think it is, keep the awesome videos coming we really enjoy watching you and learning from you Also your farm, your home and your animals Are beautiful 👌🙏
They do have personalities. These are the most calming videos. Reminds me of "1806 Stonehouse". Both channels exude the same spirit and philosophy and both in upstate NY. Happy Birthday to your daughter!
Pete I really enjoy these videos that show quieter meaningful moments you have with your animals. I also appreciate you not yielding to the pressure to create click bait videos . Keep up the good work.
Pete, I like these video's. It reminds me so much of my Dad when he was alive and how he interacted with his cows. They were all his babies.
Great series Pete, I've been enjoying it very much. I enjoy learning more about the dexters, and anything else you care to share.
You said, "an important part of farming". Also an important part of living, I would add. Thanks for sharing your soul with us!
Can’t believe I have watched three days of you chilling with the herd. Also can’t believe how much I love it and can’t wait for next video. Keep up the great videos. You are spot on, don’t change a thing!
As far your videos go. I watch them because they're authentic. I can't stand click bait videos, they get old. So thanks for doing what you do.
I can't wait for that MOMENT that Rusty comes to you. Even if being friends takes more days, that moment will be awesome
Please keep these coming! Wonderful to see this side of farm life...especially for those of us who are not blessed to be small farmers! As always, thank you for taking the time to include us in your farm and in your life! Peace.
Well done. We dont get the full effect you do, ( the wind, the smells in a pasture, damp grass, paddy puddles to avoid, cud being chewed) but you convey the reason for the patience in waiting so well. "He also serves, who only sits and waits." Play hard to get Rusty!
I love the peaceful, relaxing effort to connect. The trust that all of the Dexters have will equate to a calmer herd.
Keep being yourself Pete!!! I think that’s what we all enjoy about your channel. You’re authentic and a kind soul. Stay safe brother and we’ll see you in the next video
I am so grateful to you for making your “less popular” videos. I do enjoy watching you with those cows. One day Rusty will come lick your hand - that is enough excitement for me in this frantic world! Would also love to watch a chicken video if the spirit ever moves you to make one. I love the sound of chickens, the way they move. (Bonnie)
Pete, just keep being you. I enjoy that every video is different. I learn so much about what running a farm and business is really like. It’s good to expose your viewers to the good, bad, ugly and wonderful aspects of farming. Keep on keeping it real!
Pete, thank you for my daily dose of relaxation! Warmest regards from Athens, Greece.
I got watching your video when you was working on the H. And I haven't missed a video yet. The past "Rusty" videos have been great. And I look forward to the day Rusty becomes your friend.
I actually love these videos, please keep them up
Pete. Please be "you"! We all have enough of network TV... and now KZread, where ratings drive content which often invariably leads to the 'lowest common denominator" rule. Your core followers will always be there for your exceptional content. Dare to choose the narrow gate and less traveled path! Keep up the great work and content!
I love your pasture videos! I love your perspective, and keep being you like you said in the video. Spread the messages you feel are important and hold your ground. Don't let all the negative comments and energy sway you from your path!
Today when everyone wants instantaneous everything. I sit here and think how patience is a virtrue. All I could think of is Psalms 23. Jesus sitting in the pasture watching His sheep. I tend to wait these days and find rest to be quite amazing. Patience is learned; it doesn't come easy!! Love these kinds of video's. Thanks Pete for giving us a picture of patience.
Videos like this, gives me therapy as well, I love them cows, weirdest cutest funniest big animals, pasture puppies, raised, born as a farmer, but life wanted me to take a different route, so now every time I get the chance, I watch cute cow videos where farmers all over the world shows your love and passion about them and it gives me joy and laughter and a sense of calm and peace so I thank you for this video, it made me happy to see and laugh together with you and the calfs and cows
We watch because you bring us a world that a lot of us want and wish we had. Don't do it for the views do it cause you love sharing your life and experiences with us cause we sure appreciate you for who you are. Keep on keeping on.
I love watching these. I wish I had some cattle outback that I could sit with, but at 82 I would have a hard time taking care of them in the winter. It is so serene and close to God.
I agree, this is an important video. This was wonderfully relaxing, thank you for making these videos
I so enjoy the sound of the cattle munching on the grass thank you
Drawing babies to you is easy. Just sing. Doesn’t matter how wild hey are. It’s why we have singing cowboys. Of course, the pitch of a three year old singing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer is irresistible.
I listen to your videos as I wander around my hobby farm repairing fences and trimming this and that. Hearing the soft breeze and gentle voice of your videos helps me keep my calm as the sun beats down on me and I’m attacked by flies and steers. I really enjoyed this video in particular.
Hey Pete ! You always make me smile and calm ! I catch myself smiling while I'm watching your videos ! Lolol ! And you make me laugh ! I love how you genuinely try to make contact with your herd ...what a guy ! AND I love how Doc just loves you ! He is so precious! That little red guy is a tuff cookie ! Even for you ! The cow whisperer ! Hold tight ...he'll come around and we will all rejoice right along with you ! He's kinda making me mad being so standoffs with you ! He has no idea who and what you are ! Lolol ! Have a blessed day Pete !🤗
Pete, I like you doing you. Bonding with your animals is important. Very relaxing. Thank you. Have an awesome week.
These videos have been relaxing for me. I have been watching them as a way to chill after the end of my stressful workday. It reminds me of why I am working to achieve my dream.
I think “Rusty” is a great name. I enjoy your videos. The workings of your farm are peaceful- Enjoy all the videos . Thank you for sharing. Much love to your family! As a nurse I say Go Hilary!
I learn a lot from all of your videos. Keep being you and showing what you think is important. I've learned a lot about Dexter behavior from these "field" videos.
Oh my goodness. If we would have sat must longer i would have awoken from a nap with a cow in my face. So relaxing.!!
I agree with you. I used to sit with my calves, i bottle fed then all, for hours. Unconditional love is the best. Since I bottle fed them they came to me right a way. But it’s peaceful to be with animals. The quiet serene time. I agree, just do you. Trust your gut. I’ll be watching whatever you choose to show.
I hope you never get stuck in a KZread rut. I find something enjoyable in every one of your videos. I may not care for some portions of a video but, I still watch them all. Keep up the great work. 👍👍👍

I agree 👍
"Rusty"? It's just fine with us, especially after today. We were doing our pasture walk out on the farm we do our "school" things on and out of the blue, the 3 South Poll steers decided that today was the day they would get curious and come up to us. I hadn't schooled the guys on what to do, but thanks to your vid they froze and went silent. After a few misfires, the steers began licking my fingers and one got a head scratch. I was really proud of one of my timid ones who eased up and got to do the same to another steer, wow! Perfect timing again and many thanks for the therapeutic things you're doing. It reverberates just as much as the raised bed of lettuce we picked today all the way to SC... :-)
Reminded me of the days i would spend time sitting in the field with the cows. A week on your farm would be my perfect vacation!
I find these very relaxing. Thank you Pete!
Best channel on KZread and the only channel I watch on a regular basis. Don’t change anything!!! Thanks for all your hard work and I’ll continue to look forward to every video.
Thanks for the pasture therapy 🙌❤️
I loved this episode, a hard day at work and I am sitting with a tea watching the cattle with you. Perfect 😊
Doc loves you. You're part of his "herd". I had friends like Doc among Dad's cattle, and a lot of fond memories.
Rusty is a lot like you. He is just as happy being in his own world and not reciprocating with others. Not a totally bad thing
I like the videos of you developing relationships with the cattle. It's good to see I'm not the only one who does this! 😊
Pete ,my husband is reading your book and so enjoying the read,he doesn't want it to end he said, by the way we love your field chats ,so relaxing
Say Happy Birthday to your daughter Cora🙂 I think you guys are great,I enjoy watching your videos there is always something to learn
Doc isn't sharing you with anyone. He is a bit of a bully with the younger calves. Rusty is getting more comfortable with you each day. Happy Birthday to your daughter.🎂🍔
I have a feeling Rusty will come up to you when you don't see it coming. When you don't expect it.
No need to apologize. This is your channel. You get to decide. Thanks for sharing.
I think what you are doing is very important, not only for you but your live stock, the fact that you show how much your animals mean to you is very important and wonderful thank you for sharing, I enjoy watching this part as much as I do all the other videos.
Pasture therapy... what an excellent name for the making friends with Rusty videos. I'm so enjoying these videos. Not everything is immediate return on investment, but that doesn't make the investment worth less, sometimes it makes it more rewarding.
Honestly, I like the videos out in the pasture more. I like how Doc interacts. Gonna be sad to see him depart the farm. Either way, videos like this make me want to just go lay down in a field away from people, and the only reason I'd be mad is envy that there is no such place to do so .
Millions of people don't like Coke, The Beatles, McDonalds, but they do OK. You make great content no matter what it is. I'll watch every time.
Yep. We love you and your family just as you are. We signed on w y’all because we WANT to watch boring farm life as is. Thank you Pete!
Thank you. Finding joy in your day...precious real life lesson.
