Pastor Chuck Smith -- The Book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ -- Revelation Chapter 2
In this lesson Pastor Chuck Smith highlights the first four letters to the seven churches of Asia as recorded in the book of Revelation.
He thoroughly dissected these, emphasizing that each message starts with a unique description of Jesus Christ (as revealed in chapter 1).
While some churches like Ephesus and Smyrna were praised for their commendable actions and perseverance amid tribulation, they were also admonished for abandoning their initial passion for God and forewarned about future persecutions. Others, such as Pergamos and Thyatira, were rebuked for allowing false teachings and idolatry to infiltrate their congregations, hence the urgent call for repentance to avert divine judgment.
In addition, Pastor Chuck underscored repentance and love as central themes of the sermon.
He emphasized the importance of love in fueling genuine service to both God and fellow believers, asserting that God considers the motives behind our actions rather than the actions themselves.
On repentance, Pastor Smith remarked that irrespective of the inherent challenges within the churches, the persistent believers who shun the path of doctrinal falsehood are implored to hold steadfastly onto their faith and repent for any transgressions.
The lesson concludes with a clear call for all believers to maintain keen spiritual receptivity and to embrace the open offer of Jesus “to him who overcomes…” will receive only the best things from God.

Thank you for posting chuck smith as very few pastors like him today.
Oh, how I miss this precious Shephard of mine. He was my "Pappa Chuck" from the beginning of Calvary Chapel and will be until I see him again in Heaven. There has never been another pastor like him. The presence of the Holy Spirit is so evident in his smile, and sparkle in his eyes...a voice that spoke the word of God and would command attention and bring deep comfort to my soul. Even though he has been in God's presence for years, he is still teaching here on Earth. How I miss him, and the years of the "little chapel" and the days of "the Tent", and then to the " Sanctuary" until we lost him to cancer. I thank God for the gift of Chuck and I look forward to one of his wonderful strong loving hugs when I get to heaven. Thank you for posting these sermons from him.
I got saved when i went to calvary chapel austin . The pastor was teaching the book of revelation around the same time Chuck Smith was teaching this one. He mentioned the school shooting at culinbine. Wow! I needed this . I need Jesus Christ back in my life! Like back then. 😢
I really needed this , I’m trying to quit weed and today the temptation to go back (huge sale) was very strong. I’m so glad I watched this because I am trying to be a police officer.

Every single comment here about weed is a total lie. And a liar. Who cares about sales at the store anyone who smokes weed regular basis has a very good deal always . Then oh yeah the bad habit and then some other comment 😅 really laughable about the nicotine and vaping. Which is now found to give u cancer. Very nasty. As a matter of fact Jesus Christ my God and Savior has a allowed me to smoke weed and told me it was very good for me. If you really want to quit weed just quit don't make it a oh bad habit like if it was tobacco or alcohol. The brainwashed are everywhere trying to brainwashed others.

I pray Pastor Chuck`s videos stay uploaded, he explains things that we... would not know otherwise.
You can see the shine in his eyes. The light in him. No matter what video you watch those lights in his eyes are present. May he rest in Heaven. Great Job faithful servant.
I am thrilled to find this video so I can hear Pastor Chuck again. We sat under his amazing teaching ability for 14 years and miss him greatly. Having these teachings on You Tube is a magnificent blessing and I watch them all, over and over. Thanks.
