I can’t get over what a great job she did on The Addams Family as Mortica. Because seeing her on Password she is almost opposite in personality !! I had never seen her in anything besides The Addams Family. Sad she passed away at fifty years young ! 🦋

TY for sharing this, never seen, or heard of this quiz. Carolyn Jones was a delight. Praise too, for Barry Sullivan, a solid & most dependable second lead & character actor. Performed alongside many of the top female stars in Hollywood history-Doris Day, Barbara Stanwyck, Bette Davis & Joan Crawford. :-)

Carolyn plugs her upcoming appearance on "Batman" as Marsha, Queen of Diamonds and also prompts Allen to mention his cameo on "Batman" as newscaster "David Dooley" in the two part story where Penguin runs for mayor.

As I'm pretty sure coined words, to a degree, are accepted, I think that even as a first clue for "Humor" I would have tried "Funnyness" (said semi-gently with a little shrug of my shoulders).

Sulllivan's TV series "The Road West" was similar to "Little House on the Prairie", and was cancelled after one season. I never realized he had such an overbite, because he seldom smiled in his movies.

@@georgeplagianos6487 Oh I agree I loved Allen it was just an observation. I did read in his bio that when he was diagnosed with the cancer during Password Plus he started acting out of character though and demanding more close ups, he wanted more cameras on set to do so and they were surprised as he was such an easy going guy, Betty said the treatment was affecting his moods. He was a brilliant host, a shame he died quite young.

Well, of course if this were maybe at least 20 years later, even as a first clue for "Area" I suppose somebody could have said "……Fifty One..." 🙂 Even back then though, maybe the word "Rest…" (Said in that Passwordian way to denote another word to follow :-)

  • @nonnayoubuzinnes1669

Am surprised Allen didn't say his usual "Hi Doll" to Betty's mother in the audience! In his bio it says he and Betty used to spend the night in a hotel in New York (although it was filmed in Hollywood too of course) the night before he filmed Password, I think it ended up being filmed on either one or two days as it was cheaper to film a load of episodes together as is the norm now.

The first couple of years it was done live daily but that ended when a contestant innocently gave a clue for a word that was vulgar. The two star guests were Carol Burnett and Elizabeth Montgomery. Ms. Burnett looked over to the other star after the clue was givecand Elizabeth was not there...she was convulsively laughing on the floor!
