I don’t mean to sound argumentative but quality more important than cost? At MB? I’m 56 & don’t remember a time you’re describing. I do remember certain cars costing more than a house & at a level of quality that can only be described as state of the art. There are some things that quality is achieved regardless of cost & that’s always been the case & always will. 👍

​@@NormanWasHere452 Not true at all. Youve probably heard of the rust years... From about 1998/99 to 2005, when Chrysler merged with Mercedes. They started using cheap paint and metal to save money, which were prone to rust horribly

But 1990 to mid 1998 is arguably the best era of Mercedes. Bulletproof cars all around

I’d argue it looks better (imo) than Mercedes’ current offerings. Everything seems too fussy these days. This just looks simple, but classy.

I think the only thing they should have done whats is missing is a proper apple/androidcar system so you can link up your phone with that. I know that its mostly not done with older cars getting this treatment (unless crazy lowriders LMAO) but since its a luxury car i think it should have been in there.

@@batuhan4002 It'd be nice if more of these companies could manage to put out cars that mortals can afford. I think there's a big market for good resto-mods priced below $200k, preferably below 150k. Not everyone's looking for a Singer or Nardone level automobile but many are looking for something special.

@@romulus_ well from where i live i was thinking for Bmw,Lancia,Merc etc resto mod for an ok price 100k max. But now there are some brands that are already doing this...gotta be quick. They are expensive for a reason🤔

Timeless design. Absolutely love this era of mercedes cars, they all look so good.

This is mad, until recently I've thought the largest displacement on a V12 engine in a Mercedes was 7,3l, but then you've proved me wrong for the first time in that vid with Patina Collective, and now with this monster!

The sound of the sweet Mercedes V12, those W140's were built like tanks. I have a s600 coupe, the sound of the V12 I will never get tired of. Great content. 👍

They have done some S Class builds with the 7.4 Liter V12 for Paganis.

I agree the older cars have a look and feel that new cars have built out. Older car have that over the top look and feel of luxury as well as a very visceral driving experience that is exhilarating, comforting and satisfying that you just can't get that in a new car.

Love the change of pace like this sometimes showing off cars from my generation growing up in the 80s that I remember. Don't get me wrong...I live vicariously through your supercars and love every video. But this was awesome! Cheers!

Ive heard of the 600 SEL but never of renntech. Seen a kit of theirs I think on an SLR Mclaren but thats it tbh

Love nothing more than a good restomod and old S class has always been one of my favourites. I always say I'd rather have a full restored old car with some modern tech on it than these new plastic cars of 2023. What a machine 🔥
