I know right, got the same feeling too... a man with a beard and a guitar and a buttload of life experience and thus stories to tell is in my opinion THE best representation of what a true artist is like. If you're interested in nothing but a man and his guitar you should really check out Mike Posner. Recommended video of his: kzread.info/dash/bejne/omWu1NmehrGanJc.html

I haven't been this impressed by new music in a long time. I heard him for the first time today. Of course it was on Public Radio! I'm old enough to remember the Folk Music renaissance in the 1960s. I joined the Columbia record club, just so I could get Bob Dylan's albums before they got to the stores! I was 12 then, I'm 69 now and it seems that what goes around, does indeed come around. I'm definitely a fan, and THANK YOU for telling them to put away their damn Idiot Phones ( that is what the I stands for isn't it?). Don't mind me, I'm just old and cranky! But beware, when you spend all your time recording everything, you can forget to actually live and experience what is NOW!

Amy Sheeran I've seen Passenger twice and Ed Sheeran just recently in Melbourne, and I'd have to agree with you. I was sitting around some terribly rude people talking through a majority of Ed Sheeran's music (Rod Laver Arena), whereas in the Palais Theatre where Passenger played it was a lot more intimate and he engaged with his audience a lot better. I thoroughly enjoyed both, but Passenger felt a lot more real to me.

SoundwaveProductions I don't think he's bothered about being at the top of the charts though! He still has a big following. I went to see him in Birmingham last year at the o2 academy - it wasn't a big venue, no arena and it felt so intimate that it's my favourite gig I've been to, and I've been to a few. If he had a huge following and was massive, he wouldn't be able to do those small and intimate gigs anymore which is what suits his music and his voice best. And I kind of like the fact that not EVERYONE gets the chance to appreciate his music, feels much more special that way.

It's crazy that one guy and his acoustic guitar can entertain and get more views for a concert video than Coldplay or Muse who sell out stadiums. The guy seems down to earth and just a normal dude. He knows he doesn't have a band behind him or million dollar light shows so he just entertains with his music and humor. Very cool.

Discovered he did this gig about a year ago, since then I started listening to it a lot, by that I mean that I might have watched this video / listened to it for at least 100 times. It's gotten to the point that I know every single word he says and when he says them. After watching this aprox. 20 times I developed a top three of songs he covers in this gig; The sound of Silence, Fairytales and Firesides, Dancing in the dark. Of these three my absolute favorite is dancing in the dark, until now every time I hear it I get goosebumps especially at the part where the song goes "I'm just about starving tonight, down for some action sitting 'round here just tryna write this book I need a love reaction come on baby, give me just one look" This gig is by far my favorite of all of Mike's gigs on KZread. I'm just gonna keep on listening and watching this until I get bored, which I think will take a very, very long time.
