Riding to New York reminds me of when the doctors told us our 5 year old would never reach 6 because of a Wilms tumor stage 3. Her one wish was to see the Grand Canyon. We had no money and they told us she was too sick to travel. We packed up the rattle trap( we called it a car) drove from Texas to the Grand Canyon. She's now 37. She said that the trip gave her the courage to fight. Thanks for the bittersweet memory.

When it was my birthday, I played this playlist. When my heart got broke, I played this playlist. When she left me in middle of nowhere, I played this playlist. When my friend left the bond we shared, I played this playlist. When I felt alone, I played this playlist. When I cried or laughed, I played this playlist. When my innerchild enjoyed with joy, I played this playlist. When I will again find someone meaningful, I'll play this playlist. When I'll be living the last few days of my life, I'll play this playlist. Always grateful to you, for putting your heart out and singing these beautiful songs. I'll keep these songs as a souvenir❤

Mike, I don't think that you even realise how beautiful and pefect your music is. When I lisend to you... I feel so happy an I just know that everyting will be alwright... even in the darkest of all the hours. I can't even start to describe how amazing I find your music : I only can try. Its sad in a way, that you'll probably never read this and that even if you do... you'll probably won't understand... I mean really understand how much your music mean to me... and to us all... and its sad in a way cause you're so humble about it... and I just wish that for one second you could feel it... how much you mean to us all... and that we are so happy that we have the chance to hear your music everyday. Thank you... thank you so much Mike :).

I remember hearing about the story of Bullets. There was an old man who, since his childhood, he collected bullets and had a lifetime of a bullet collection. One day his house was robbed, and the thieves thought the bullets in the man’s house were useable. They weren’t. They were old shell casings. They were his lifetime, with each bullet he collected having a story and memory. All of those stories and memories are gone. All he was left with were a few bullets. Truly tragic tale

you know how when some artists release their albums, and the more and more popular it gets their music changes to meet the 'pop' music that is trending? what I love about Passenger is that you could listen to his previous albums like Wide Eyes Blind Love or All The Little Lights and Whispers and the music is still similar! He hasn't changed his music and style to meet the standards of todays pop music! This is what I love about it!! Great work Passenger, your music never ceases to amaze me...

Whispers has become not only my favourite Passenger album but my favourite album of all time. It's up there with the greatest hits of Simon & Garfunkel, Cat Stevens, Don McLean and Leonard Cohen. I just can't believe I didn't find your music earlier. It literally plays my heart. When I listen your music, your lyrics, I feel a special connection with you, because I see the world the same way as you do. I have listened lots of interprets whose songs I loved, but my feelings from music have never been so strong... I find myself in your lyrics and in your guitar. I myself write poems and that's quite similar to writing song lyrics, but recently I just couldn't find the right words to express my feelings... I think your songs showed me the way how to find them. It's really big inspiration for me. Thank you for that. You're amazing. :)

I am gob smacked I thought that this was a pirated youtube stream very brave move giving the album free on youtube. I have to say that this is one of the best albums that I have listened too in a long time. I only started listening because I found 27 but then I thought it was American until I googled and wiki so nice to see a English/British lad doing well.

David i just really want to thank you for your honesty in your songs. There are very few artists out there who make music to truly express them self and care about quality over profits. I was never a fan of this type of music to be honest but i listen to your albums almost every day. Keep making and believing in your art and talents, and dreams. Keep it up man and best of luck with every aspect of your life.

The music you write and play can only be surpassed by the chords that cherubs strum on harps in Heaven. I can’t stop listening to this masterpiece of an album. Thank you for every song, every lyric, every note, and every memory that was birthed from your songs.

I'm also ashamed to say that I did not know who you were, until searching concerts that I work!Bands like arcade fire, imagine dragons, mumford and sons and ed sheeran.I am Old (52) but a stagehand and love to experience new music!I don't even know how to download a song! (I don't have a 12yr old!)I was just surfing you tube in search of "Rare Hidden Gems," and you blew me away!I will buy your albums if I can figure out how to download them!I wish I could walk into a record store and buy all of your new albums!(I know you will have many and I would buy them all!)I got into country, (Love Johnny Reid.) So I miss out on gems like this, but I also love CKUA a folk music type listener supported radio!Your Music should be played on both of these stations, because you are that Brilliant and it makes the other new bands, naff in comparison!Amazingly Unique voice and so simplistic but surreal videos!

We already know what the other is thinking quite often. How did you know this Mike?

Thank you for inspiring me to write like this Mike...wrote it whilst listening to your awesome tracks...all of them. BATTLE SCARS AND ELECTRIC CARS. Verse 1 Ohhh the old soldier gazed out, ...From his front window, in a daze, For the first time in his life, He suddenly look phased, His old rented flat, And just memories to look back..on, ..Are all he has now, Since his mind turned upside down, CHORUS OHH..HOW OUR LIVES GO TO VARIOUS PLACES, FILLING OUR DAYS WITH DIFFERENT FACES, AND LIFE, LIFE, MAY AS WELL LEAVE US ON ...MARS, OR HERE ON..PLANET EARTH, CRYING, DYING BUY TRYING TO DEAL WITH... OLD BATTLE SCARS...AND ELECTRIC CARS. OLD BATTLE SCARS...AND ELECTRIC CARS. VERSE 2 Now i'm the one gazing out, ..Of my window here, And for the first time in my life, ..I too, taste fear, A fear of all wars, That centuries have sent forth, And all i see again now, Are soldiers sent to battle, once more. CHORUS here again. BRIDGE to final CHORUS. OH ..LESSONS STILL NEED TO BE HEEDED, BEFORE ALL LIE HERE BLEEDIN', ..OR THEY'RE LEFT STARING THROUGH THEIR WINDOW PANES, DREAMING OF COMRADES FALLING IN FIELDS FULL OF PAIN AND RAIN. CHORUS here. F i n i t o SONIC FOXX(COPYRIGHTED 2015)

@Passenger I'm glad I crossed your way, it's genuinely one of the things of which I'm extremely proud. Your music made me who I am, saved my life, helped me go through the shittiest situations and still doing it. Your music got me to meet the most beautiful things that ever happened to me, the best of them is a person. Although I know you won't be reading my comment as it sinks in this ocean of beautiful messages, It doesn't keep me from expressing my eternal gratitude, THANK YOU.

Hey bud, this is some of the most special music I've ever heard. I'm actually on my sister's comp.. my two beautiful nieces, sister and bro-in-law, all hung out today putting up the Christmas tree, we all listened to the whole album. I will tell you something; growing up with people in a small town(city)lol, which a number of them have been in bands.. I so wish I had someone around me like you, you'r music is so personal to me, it's hard to put into words. I can just drowned out into the music. I'ts actually very peaceful and soothing to a hardened road which a' many of us in the masses have had to go through. We all have a story, yet you can touch so many with what you do.. Keep it up bro.. J. Hall

*Coins In A Fountain* Fear is dark but my love is a lantern Shining up like coins in a fountain Hope is a tree sitting on a mountain where the grass don’t grow There’s a sad old sea but my love is an island Wild and free like the hills in the highlands Hope is a breeze that brings me back to dry land Where the flowers grow Love is a baby born Love is the last unicorn Love is the only song i’ll sing Hate is a poison Love is a remedy Singing out like the sweetest of melodies Hope is a ghost in the deepest of memories Stronger than ten of me Fear is the enemy In the dark and it creeps like a shark In the coldest sea In the deepest part but Hope is the beat in the oldest heart A hand in a hand and a brand new start Love is a fireside Warm on the coldest of nights Love is the only song I’ll sing Love is the truest of words Love is the last winter bird Love is the only song I’ll sing Oh I’ll sing Til I can’t sing no more Oh I’ll sing Til my throat is sore
