PASS OR FAIL? 1000 Yard Rifle Challenge! 1000 YARDS OUT OF THE BOX?

In this 1000 yard rifle challenge we are testing out the Gunwerks Nexus claim to "1000 yards out of the box". For this 1000 yards shot challenge we head out to the desert on a nice calm morning and set up our steel target at 1000 yards to let it fly!
This was my first shot with the rifle. Didn't check zero. Didn't shoot it prior to this trip to foul the barrel. Didn't check ANYTHING. Simply pulled it from the box and went straight to do this 1000 yard rifle challenge.
Connecting on a 1000 yard shot requires knowing your ballistics, getting the wind call right, executing a clean shot, and finishing with good follow through. I'm a long ways from a professional or competitive shooter, so this test truly is a blue collar, real world hunters test of this 1000 yards out of the box challenge.
Here is my setup:
Rifle: Gunwerks Nexus
Chambered in: 6.5 PRC
Ammo: Gunwerks 140gr Berger Elite Hunter
Bipod: Gunwerks Elevate 2.0
Rear Bag: Crosstac
Range Bag: 5.11 Tactical
Shooting Mat: Midway

@scarter176 hey there! This package is the Nexus rifle, Revic Acura RS25i, amd their "Long Range package" with the 20" barrel and the Gunwerks muzzle break, with totals right around $9500 all in currently. Definitely not an inexpensive setup, but obviously a sweet one!
