Homage to Klaus Schulze (4 August 1947 - 26 April 2022)
Pas perdus (2017) - 3 improvised shoots "en contrepoint" on a piece by Klaus Schulze "A Classical Move" (1986)
This video was first edited in 2017 as pure fun/experiment when I had re-discovered some works of Klaus Schulze made in the '80. Indeed, though I loved all his musical output of the period 1972-1978, I became later disappointed by the digital and massive production he had started.
"X" was nevertheless a "classical move" that I had found very interesting. But digitalisation probably overtaked on this "move". Was now that piece "A Classical Move", a new tentative towards "classical"? With the exception of 4 bizarre clusters, the piece seems to me inachieved, ...as life is...and as my video is, without any conclusion, made like some "pain perdu" or "peine perdue"
"A Classical Move" was published in 1986 by P.O.E.M Musikverlag, Berlin and appears as the first track on the album "Dreams"
