Its a fixed penalty notice. It doesn't even result in a criminal record.

It's an indication of the lack of integrity of ALL politicians across ALL parties. Every single one of them are totally disinterested about the effects their decisions have on ordinary people. None of them have any real life experiences. I doubt they even know what altruism means. If you think these fines are unimportant then you are part of the problem. Have some sympathy for those people who lived without seeing anyone for two years, for people who died alone, for people who couldn't see their relatives as they died, for people who had five people at a funeral and during this period the people responsible for these rules had PARTIES. If you can't see WHY that's a problem, YOUR lack of empathy IS a problem. The cost of living increases are directly caused by shutting the country down for two years because of the sniffles. By the same people who made millions off pointless PPE and contracts. This isn't an either or problem. It's endemic to politics across the political spectrum. They are all pond life.

Well at least that's an end to lockdowns. Even Boris wouldn't be that stupid now. Edit to add, remember when the police said they wouldn't be investigating covid breaches retrospectively? That aged well, eh? I eagerly await the news that plod have been to visit Beff Rigby and Kay Burley...
