@@Domjot5569 To be fair, the whole bardcore phenomenon is more inspired by early modern than renaissance aesthetics (which popular culture tends to mistake for "medieval" due to stuff like Dungeons and Dragons).

In my campaign, there was a festival involving a performance challenge in which the traveling bard troupe known as "Smashe Mouthe" competed, and almost won with "Al Starre". They did get chased off stage by a magical tiger summoned by one of the players who was mortally offended that I made her listen to it. I call that good session. Yes, I simply made up those spellings.

There's certain sensibilities about what music should and should not be that's changed over time, most of these songs are more complicate than what would be in in the medieval period, but I agree that Final Countdown could have fit the aesthetic.

They could have played it but a medieval audience may not have been keen to hear it, it would not match their expectations of 'good' music so the reason medieval musicians wouldn't have played these songs even someone taught them how to play them is they want to be paid for doing their job.

The king must listen to this!

Great background music for getting stuff done, as a new and fresh version to boot, since many of the originals are played so often I’m low-key sick of them. This is better, and I love the medieval interpretation. Just discovered your channel recently. I have ADHD and your music helps me focus and get stuff done. Thanks!
