Learned about from Mike at MotoIQ who recommended this in a video. Looks like a smart design that's worth the price.

This is great stuff for all the people who ask what it is and how it works. Looks like you have the best coolant flow layout too! I like how it goes up to more than just the base pad.

Glad to hear it's maintenance free? I hope! Just got mine installed on a 2012 sti. Was hoping for better fuel economy but the sf intake and invidia exhaust may have taken that away. That or my heavy foot from all the sweet noises coming from my car!

No, those should be connected to the turbo inlet hose.

Does the AOS require any cleaning at all? I've been running one in my car for a few years now and I haven't touched it. Just want to make sure no maintenance is required so I don't blow something up.

I'm installing the 04 to 07 kit right now on my 2002 and I have no white plastic pcv present. I also have an extra opening in the top of the case I'm not sure what to do here

is this iag v3 air oi separator or previous versions, is it compatible to use on a 2018 subaru wrx (cvt)?

So with the coolant hose that’s pretty much the swivel hoses, can you connect it either way with one from the turbo line and the top coolant reservoir because it looks like it’ll function either way, just the flow will be going opposite?
@theiagchannel

Yes you can hook up either way. We like this routing due to the simplicity of routing.

@@theiagchannel thank you so much for the quick response! I was slightly confused cause the install video doesn’t show which bottom swivel is being connected to which line, but in this diagram it looked like it can go either way cause from inside the AOS it seems like it’s just 1 line in and out

Had that issue too because the previous owner of my car installed the AOS with the hose routed incorrectly causing a vacuum leak.

I'm not buying any coolant supported AOS after what happened to this one dude who connected one hose wrong and coolant got inside the heads. I'd rather do maintenance to it honestly.

Its always important to follow instructions. The same could be said for almost any aftermarket part when not installed according to the directions. The coolant connection serves to keep condensation out of your PCV system by heating the system to match the engine temperature.
@moisesr7840

@@theiagchannelso the system only works at engine temperature, meaning it is not efficient when it has not warm up. Cause you have to wait for the coolant to reach engine temperature. At idle the engine is not creating AS much of blowby, so it should be ok. I've heard people complain about AOS during winter, at Sub-zero temperatures.
