    I know that this video was made a year ago, but I just want to say that this was the absolute perfect instructional video I’ve ever seen! Concise, clearly explained and the video was perfectly shot. I was going to go with Perrin for my AOS, but I plan on getting it from you guess solely based off this video. You even remembered to tell people to cut off the tail of the zip ties! Great job. (And I never comment on KZread videos either. lol) LUUUUUBE!

    Thanks, IAG for this detailed video. Just did the install on my 2020 WRX and was able to do it (mostly) stress-free, with the exception of the re-install of the charge pipe, which is a pita. I was a little surprised to find an extra hose in the box after the install, but some research revealed it was not needed for my year of WRX. Thanks for including plenty of hose clamps in the box since one of them was damaged. The hose clamp pliers are highly recommended, they really make the job much easier! Mounting the can was a little challenging since it gets really tight in that passenger side corner with all the cables, but I was able to make it fit.

    Installed my AOS last night on my 21 wrx. I was surprised as someone else was with the leftover hose at the end. The only tip i would recommend is that removing the EGR tube is a MUST!! Its damn near impossible to get access back there for the pcv valve. I ended up having to remove the tube a second time to regain access to seat the 90° hose and clamp onto the pcv valve. Bleeding the coolant was a bit of a pain, very hard to see with the wiring harness there to see if the coolant is coming out or not

    Just wanted to 1. Shout out to IAG for the awesome video. 2. If any of you have a charge pipe I recommend using the other hose that came with a kit to replace the coolant hose from the top connector so it has enough room and doesn’t kink next to the charge pipe.

    A lot of key info left out that would be helpful. Their recommended bracket position to the can for VA's caused mine to ride. Good thing they are a lot of different positions to use. Would have been really helpful to note that eyeing up the coolant hose to the turbo to keep in mind how it routes once the charge pipe gets re-installed.

    Really informative and dummy proof. I want to get one of these for engine health but by golly that is a ton of work and parts coming off. I had a night mare installing the Cobb shifter plate and intake so this gives me anxiety that I’d break something or not torque it down all the way. I will say that if/when I pull the trigger on a downpipe and upgraded charge pipe and intercooler, I’ll likely do this since I’m down there anyway.

  • @LunasLostLove

    @LunasLostLove

    2 жыл бұрын

    this is from phatbottituning "IAG states that the Street AOS does NOT need a tune and the Comp AOS does need a tune. I have tested 5 cars before/after Street installs and 5 cars before/after Comp installs and I saw no significant change in fueling or boost. The AOS' were the only mod changed in each test. Having said that, I NEVER recommend installing mods outside of a tune. Especially ones that require removing and reinstalling the intercooler, charge pipe, breaking into the coolant system, relocating the ECU, etc. There are a lot of things that can be messed up during large complicated installs like this and it's simply not worth the potential time or money to risk it. Simply take your time and gather all your mods, then install everything at once and get tuned once. " TLDR: no tune required but recommended. from my experience the only thing i did to my car without a tune is a drop in filter and muffler delete with no issues.
