un filtro de particulas no hace falta separarlo del catalizador para limpiarlo, tampoco se echa ningun producto ,jabon,desengrasantes,ni gasolina ,los productos quimicos se quedan en el filtro y los obstruye con mas frecuencia, aparte son dañinos para el catalizador

Este vídeo tem mais de 4 anos, porém agora em 2020 tem no mercado produtos que são capazes de fazer a limpeza sem desmontar e com um custo bem mais baixo, limpa DPF da WURTH é um ótimo custo benefício.

Esta operación es solo para casos extremos en los que se ha saturado tanto que el vehículo apenas puede circular y este tipo de productos que mencionas no tienen la capacidad para desatascarlo, solo las máquinas de limpieza que realizan esta misma operación pero de manera más cómoda. Yes, this cleans all the ceramic structure and if there's no physical damage from impacts or overheating, it will last like a factory-new one.

Short journeys tend to clogs em up. Taxi's suffer hugely from DPF problems.

the simple answer is put a hose connection on the filter so it can be filled up with detergent, left overnight and then pressure rinsed out via an outlet the next day, then no need to take it apart.

Yalose pero el 99x ciento lo ago ciudad y cuando compre el coche nadie me dijo nada de eso aparte que si cortar regeneraciones filtra gasoil aceite y mas k averias

Hola, sí también sirve para limpiar catalizadores, es más fácil ya que tiene orificios de entrada y salida directos y el hollín se desincrusta fácilmente. Pero si es un motor de gasolina y el problema no es de obstrucción sino falta de eficacia catalítica esto no servirá de nada y la única solución es cambiarlo. .

También hay otra alternativa: poner combustible de máxima calidad, y de tanto en tanto añadir al gasoil algún limpiador de inyectores. También es importante un aceite adecuado de la máxima calidad.

Si, y no. El aceite tiene que ser Low-Saps, es decir, de pocas cenizas. Puede ser de buena calidad pero no ser Low Saps, imprescindible para los motores con Fap. Nosotros a nuestro C4 Grand Picasso, sólo echábamos del bueno, cuando no había opción de barato. Se fue al desguace por un calentón con 350.000kms. FAP, nuevo, nunca dió ningún problema…el secreto? el 95% autopista. Lo que mata a los fap, desde mi punto de vista, no es ni aceite ni conbustible, es usar un diesel para trayectos cortos o solo ciudad, eso los mata. No dejarlos respirar yendo de vez en cuando en cuarta revolucionados, en lugar de siempre en sexta…

Thanks for the vid. I would never have considered doing this. Is there any danger of the high pressure or detergents harming the internal catalysts? Was there any testing done after the fact on how effective the filter still was at removing particulates? Lastly, the welding was just fine. It got the job done and was, I thought, actually pretty presentable.

Thanks a lot for the comment Kurt, You have to be careful not to get too close to the tip of the karcher so as not to damage it, I have done this twice and both have been successful, in this case the filter was so obstructed that it registered fault of Excess differential pressure with just start the car and only circulated in emergency mode, and although I was not able to clean all the ducts perfectly after the operation no longer recorded the fault and allowed a regeneration circulating on the road without registering any damage .

Estimado Eduardo, antes que nada muchas gracias por tu video , pregunto, seria posible cortarlo en una zona plana y luego voolverlo a unir sin soldadura, con abrazadera o un sobre caño con tornillos autoroscantes , para luego abrirlo facil? ponerlo de carrera lo llamo yo. Y otra pregunta, mi pickup 20 18 hilux no tiene la tecla de regenarecion manual y a mi me gustaria hacer la regeneracion manual para calentar agua en la boca del escape o calefacionar mi roof tent con un caño que pasa por el interior de la caja , podrias saber como instalar ese famoso Switch que traen ahora las mismas hilux?

Hola!! A mi me parece más complicado y laborioso hacerlo así. Tendrías que tener cuidado al apretar ese caño o cincho alrededor del FAP TAL ya que si se aplasta un poco o se perfora el filtro se partiría en cachos ya que es de un material cerámico. Respecto a la regeneración manual sólo conozco la que se fuerza mediante equipo de diagnosis y no todos la tienen disponible, depende del software de la unidad de control. Tampoco creo que sea necesario, la regeneración es un procedimiento que se realiza sólo cuando es necesario, si se llega a obstruir el FAP RAP es porque se realizan trayectos muy cortos y no es posible o por qué hay alguna avería que lo está provocando. No serviría a no ser que seas capáz de hacerto muy bien. El recipiente tiene que estar bien sellado y no perder presión. Los sensores encargados de avisar que se necesita limpieza usan la diferencia de presión entre la entrada y salida del filtro para medir el nivel de saturación. Si estas presiones se ven afectadas por una fuga de aire (por la abrazadera) seguramente el computador lo interpretará como un error.

Llévalo a un lavadero manual y métele la pistola directamente por el tubo de escape, a mí me funcionó.

Seriously what a game to clean it - these things should have been designed so they could be opened up (unbolted) and a new DPF Honeycomb inserted - the old one is removed and cleaned. . . .mind you that would be too simple.

Nah it's cool. You can hardily tell there's a weld. But seriously, you could get some scrap steel and practice welding (or if your just a little rusty, 5mins with a piece of scrap can make all the difference), or you could buy a grinder and practice grinding. But unless you are a full time welder with some serious skill, there will always be someone who will say they can do better or that you need to learn how to weld. At the end of the day, it's still a DPF and no one will ever see it . . . . and I have seen worse from people who should be better.

Ese filtro está fundido por una mal combustión o alguna otra causa, al quitar la tapa trasera se ven cuatro cuadrantes quemados hay que sustituirlo..estara a un 50% de su capacidad después de la limpieza

If you guys think this is bad, think about this for one minute. Airplanes emit 100x more emissions in a few minutes with zero filter. Stop that first and foremost. Jet fuel fallout causes birth deffect cancer etc. We are lucky someone invented DPF...

MI S&W: You and your mechanic are speaking with regard to performance only. I feel that the tdi performs good enough with the dpf. I particularly like the fact that it emittes no smoke or smell though. I've been to poor countries where many of the vehicles don't have dpf (or an epa) and it's really bad. There is s constant cloud of noxious exhaust that's visible in the sky. The black soot these dpfs capture are the primary contributors of visible smog. I hate people, so I won't go into the health effects, but it's bad. I do however care for the planet and what it's gonna look like for my kids. I hate the brown clouds that envelop every city in this planet. Next time you fly, look for it on takeoff. You'll never miss it after you see it the first time. It's in every place I've taken off from, and sadly, diesel is a large contributor. So if I have to sacrifice some horsepower and fuel economy to drive a cleaner car, so be it. I would be diving something with even less emissions if this car didn't tow my jet skis too.

hybridorbital85 in Poland I couldn't breathe in large cities. People burning coal to heat themselves. And air is horrible. Most diesel engines have no DPF too... I have old diesel car Xantia but for everyday use we have much cleaner LPG converted car.

You can get it visually cleaned but you cant clean cintering with water.

Hola. En realidad este tipo de limpieza no tendría que realizarse nunca. Sólo es para casos en que por circunstancias ( avería en inyectores, sensored de presión, egr, circulación urbana excesiva...) se ha saturado tanto que no permite una regeneración automática. La limpieza se realiza sola, aproximadamente cada 1000kms. con motor caliente y a velocidad constante por encima de 80km/h aprox. y suele durar unos 20min. Si no se dan esas circunstancias se volverá a atascar, aunque antes de que eso suceda dará un aviso de avería, es cuando no se hace caso de este aviso cuando se llega al extremo del vídeo.

Hola, no es necesario dejarlo secar demasiado, lo único que ocurrirá es que cuando se caliente empezará a echar mucho vapor de agua pero sin importancia y que no durará mucho, además es posible que huela un poco raro por los restos que puedan quedar del detergente y que tampoco durará.

Whats the customers feedback? Are they satisfied? For how long can car be driven before the problem returns? My mechanic was cleaning it probably the same way. Results were the same, but beforr filter looked terrible just like brick. Almost there was no perforations inthe filter. Im happy it didnt destroy the engine. I hope youll respond. Thanks

Hello, the results have been good and the customers have been satisfied and has not come back with the same problem. But in some cases it has not been possible to perform a perfect cleaning. The only way to guarantee a good result is to put the new FAP, but it has the disadvantage of the high price.

Thank you. Because I've had the same problem. My mechanic cleaned it this way. Before the cleaning, filter looked like a brick. Afterwards it looked really clean just like new from the outside, but i was afraid whats deep inside its construction. I drove the car and it behaved really well. I'm just afraid of the future and unsure if the problem will appear again. I drive 2005 Megane which is worth around 3000 eur and the new filter is around 1200 eur, so I really wouldnt like to swap it in the near future. I planned to drive the car for the next two years and then I would sell it and buy something new anyway.

Buenas Eduardo te consulto puede el dpf estar generando presión al estar obstruido como en este caso a los gases de la egr y por ende causando daños a la empaquetadura de culata. Saludos

Hola. Perdona por la tardanza en contestar. No. No lo creo. La presión que se genera antes del filtro cuando funciona bien no excede de 300 mbar( 0,3bar) y eso a plena carga, en ralenti no supera los 20mbar. Por encima de esos valores se genera una avería en la Unidad de Mando y enciende la luz en el cuadro. Si se sigue funcionando sin hacer caso y aumenta más la presión la unidad limita la potencia y no podrás circular sin llegar a producir esos daños que mencionas.

La egr la controla el medidor de masa de aire y limita su apertura. De modo que cuando calcula que pasan la cantidad de gases de escape necesarios la cierra.

Buena limpieza. También puede utilizarse sosa cáustica, después de algún tiempo según observes, terminas la limpieza con agua a presión y, si es caliente MEJOR...No olvidar enjuagar super bien...¡¡ Y como NUEVO!!!

Como conoces con presicion donde hacer los cortes. Veo que cortas justo antes de la malla del FAP y justo antes de la malla del catalizador, como sabes que ahi estaba cada malla?

Hola! Si te fijas justo donde corto hay un cordón de soldadura que es donde está la unión entre catalizador y filtro de partículas. Aún así hay que tener cuidado de no traspasar demasiado la chapa con la radial por si el punto de unión entre las dos partes no es exacto como es el caso.

Hola. No. En ningún vehículo. El catalizador tiene orificios por los que pasan los gases, y por contacto con las paredes de los mismos, se produce una reacción química se eliminan gases nocivos ( CO, HC..). El filtro de partículas tiene unos orificios más grandes pero tapados en su extremo final, para salir tienen que atravesar una pared cerámica, en la que se retienen las partículas de hollín ( polvo/humo negro) cuando se acumula mucho se produce una regeneración, realizando inyecciones tardías, sube mucho la temperatura (600ºC) y éstas partículas se desintegran en mucho más pequeñas (como la pirolisis de un horno) atravesando la pared y así cada 1000kms aprox. Co

a contaminar los ríos !! venga dale bien, q eso no es malo !!

Si te fijas el lugar donde se realiza la limpieza tiene unas rejas por donde se filtra el agua contaminada, este llega hasta una cuba donde se almacena y luego una empresa de reciclaje se encarga de gestionarlo

Lo puedes limpiar pero no va a funcionar. El baño de platino se consume en la reacción química para eliminar las partícula de NOX.

@@belchnasty so you saying aftermarket dpf fail ? no it would not lmfao, half the dpfs are also covered by plastic undertrays which they can not remove to check anything and is a cunt undertrays are fitted as they are giving clean cars that have never failed mots advisory's for them

@@novaturbkkk Did you not read what he put exactly? TAMPERED dpfs are a failure. Aftermarket dpfs are not a failure. Any smoke, whatever the colour, is a failure for a dpf equipped vehicle. Im an mot tester if you would like to argue some more? And advising undertrays fitted to vehicles covering critical components is common sense.

Best way to clean these is by drilling a hole right thru the middle 👍🏻

Un Filtro Partículas nuevo original supera los 1.000€, aunque los hay reconstruidos por 500€ aproximadamente.

Why cant you remove it from car and just pressure wash it through from 1 end to the ither save welding it?

That's all we do with them.. Let them soak in tfr jet wash the hell out of them put it back on force a regen and it seems to work every time

Hola, esto es en un 320 E90 pero es el mismo procedimiento para cualquier modelo. Lo siento pero este tipo de trabajo solo lo he hecho en casos muy especiales y para clientes muy concretos. Tendrías que encontrar a alguien de confianza que esté dispuesto ha hacerlo en lugar de ponerlo nuevo.

@@outletprimerasmarcas611 lo primero que ocurre es que se enciende la luz de averia de motor o aviso del fallo en el filtro de particulas, según modelos,si es que necesita hacer una regeneración, en algunos con salir a carretera y circular unos 30min la hace y se apaga sola, en otros hay que hacerlo en el taller con el equipo de diagnosis. Si se sigue circulando llegará a obstruir se como es el caso y perderá potencia hasta no poder ni circular. En tu caso lo primero es conectar un equipo de diagnosis y hacer una lectura de averías. Si el fap está obstruido indicará averías al respecto( presión diferencias excesiva o similar), Si no será otra cosa, mal funcionamiento del turbo.. En muchas aveeias(egr..) la propia unidad de control reduce la potencia. Un saludo.

Es una limpiadora industrial tipo a las de las gasolineras para lavar coches. Creo que tiene 160 bar. Pero no estoy seguro. Es más importante no acercar demasiado la punta de la lanza para no dañar la cerámica.

And that is how they supposed to avoid contamination?? Cuz on my wiew point it's the same st they put all the contaminant materials to the waters system.

Hello, I share your concern for the environment. If you look at the place where the cleaning is done, it is a kind of grate on which the contaminated water falls, that goes to a vat that collects all the contaminant and then a company collects it to recycle it. It is the system that is used in car washes totally legal and homologated. Thanks for the comment.

@@edupoveda1 yeah I know It's everything done legal . What but I don't see how that helps to the air contamination I mean pay thausands on this DPF crab maintenance for nothing because when they crean the filter Al the contamination stay somewhere on the planet ..

@@escorpiondice955 Ah! I get it. You are right, but supposedly when the pfd regeneration is carried out, the soot particles retained are charred into others much smaller and less harmful to health.

@@edupoveda1 ok well do you know more than I do so I believe you . But that DPF system almost caused me a bank roptus Because one of my truck it was costing me 15 thausands dollars every year . Until I sold the pfs So now I'm working with my old truks No def no prbles

cuantos Km tenía el coche cuando se limpió o cuanto tiempo dura la limpieza hasta la próxima vez.

Hola! Tenía menos de 200.000, pero está limpieza no hay que realizarla por el número de kms. Sino porque se ha saturado debido a una avería ajena o por por realizar trayectos cortos o urbanos, la limpieza puede durar siempre si se dan las condiciones óptimas, osea, motor caliente y conducción en carretera a velocidad constante. La limpieza la hace sola el coche aproximadamente cada 1000kms si se dan estas condiciones.
