Participle clauses - English grammar lesson
Participle clauses enable us to say things in a more economical way - with fewer words.
We mainly use participle clauses in written English, particularly in an academic or journalistic style.
There are 3 types of participle clauses:
Present participle clauses
Past participle clauses (mainly used in passive voice)
Perfect participle clauses ("having" + past participle. Can be used in active voice or passive voice)
In this video, I explain each type in detail with examples.
This English lesson was presented by Andrew, a qualified native British English teacher with over 15 years experience of teaching English.

The perfect participle clause ONLY can start with “having”? What about other verb, like “being”?
@CrownAcademyEnglish

Yes, the perfect participle = "having" + past participle. "being" is the present participle of the verb "be"
